About the home
This unique self-catering villa has just about everything you could wish for. It is spacious, beautifully furnished, superbly equipped and luxurious in ambiance. The private, secluded pool is heated during the winter months.
Situated in an elevated position it has spectacular sea views and is away from noise and bustle, yet remains conveniently close to all essential amenities in the charming, friendly town of Callao Salvaje. An iron gate and high walls make it a safe place to bring children and its proximity to the island’s major road network makes exploring easy.
A bus stop and a taxi rank are close by. Mobile internet access means you can stay in touch with home or the office from your laptop, and a plasma screen satellite TV with UK channels can keep you up to date with your favourite programmes.
A deep, shaded veranda with plenty of room for comfortable seating and gently swinging hammocks is the perfect place to relax with a drink before dinner after a day in the sun or exploring the island.

The upstairs living area is spacious and open plan. There are floor to ceiling windows with adjustable slatted blinds to control the amount of sun entering the room. The plasma screen satellite TV receives UK terrestrial channels. Books, DVDs, CDs and popular games have been provided for your additional entertainment. A lavatory is also on this floor.
The dining and seating areas will both accommodate 8 people and there is a highchair if needed. There are 3 sets of double doors opening onto a deep, shaded veranda with comfortable seating and hammocks. Stairs lead to the lower floor (bedrooms, pool and garage) both inside and out. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and includes a dishwasher.
All bedroom have fans, double doors leading out into a shaded area by the pool, bedside tables with lights, and plenty of storage space. The twin beds in the red and orange bedrooms can be easily pushed together if preferred. Bedroom 1 has a DVD/CD player, a hairdryer, a dressing room and an en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and bidet.
Put-me-up beds are available on request at a modest extra charge. Just ask if you need a cot. All linen is provided (including pool towels) and is changed weekly as a matter of course, but can be done more often on request and at a small extra charge.
There is a washing machine and iron/ironing board in the utility room, a drying rack and clothesline outside, and a safe. For those of you with babies or young children then in addition to a cot and highchair there is also a pushchair, baby bath, baby swim seat, activity mat and bouncy chair.
A table tennis table in the garage means competitive fun for guests of all ages!
I have access to all sorts of hire equipment if there is anything you need that is not already provided, including items for additional entertainment, more baby equipment, mobility aids etc. Just ask me for details on your enquiry.

The pool is private and quite secluded. It is heated to 28 degrees from the beginning of November until the end of April as a matter of course.
If you would like the heating to be on outside of this period then an additional charge of £40 will be levied. There are sunbeds for 6 around the pool, an outside shower, small garden areas, a shaded terrace, lots of sunbathing terrace and a charcoal BBQ. There is also an outside fridge.
Upstairs on the veranda is an easy to use gas BBQ, a table and chairs to seat 6 (easily portable to downstairs if preferred), a hammock and swing chair plus comfortable seating.

The villa is available from 2pm on the day of arrival. I usually ask that you vacate the property by 10am on the morning of departure to allow for cleaning. Alternative timings may be available depending on whether the villa is booked on the day(s) of your arrival and departure. Please contact me if you would like to enquire whether different arrangements are available.
I provide a basic welcome pack for all guests, but am very happy to get anything that you know you would like. A partial clean is also done each week, more often on request and for a small extra charge.

Conditions
For any rentals longer than 2 weeks, or if the villa is free and you would like to rent it out at very short notice, please contact me for discussion about a possible discount. Changeover days are flexible. If you would like your stay to be different from the standard week(s) then please ask as this may be possible depending on other bookings.
The Tenerife region
Tenerife has great weather. Temperatures vary from the low to high twenties throughout the year and it very rarely rains. If you are after a sun worshipping holiday then Callao Salvaje has statistically more hours of sunshine than anywhere else on the island! If you want more from your holiday and have hired a car then there is absolutely loads to do on Tenerife. You can easily go whale watching, diving, hang gliding or hiking in beautiful countryside and across rugged hills. A drive up the spectacular Mount Teide (with a short cable car ride to the summit) is an amazing experience. The landscape is dramatic and beautiful, the views stunning. At nearly 4000m this volcano is the third highest in the world, often capped with snow in the winter. If you prefer a less active holiday there is designer goods shopping or you can visit museums, tropical gardens, peaceful Spanish villages, banana plantations, magnificent houses steeped in history, churches and basilicas, fine architecture and much much more. Why not go and experience a fiesta while you are here? Tenerife is an island drenched in history and full of surprises. Whether you wish to soak up the reliable sun in tranquil privacy, party the nights away in bars and restaurants or discover the deeper delights of the island, this villa is the ideal place from which to do it. At the villa you will find a large file of information about activities, excursions, great beaches with photographs, golf courses (there are some superb golf courses in the area), things for children to enjoy, walks, cycle routes and drives (with maps) and much more. If you haven't hired a car but then decide you would like to there are companies available locally.
The Callao Salvaje area
The regional capital of Adeje is just a 10 min drive away and the tourist resorts of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos are a short journey by car, taxi or bus if you are after serious nightlife. Callao Salvaje is on the major road network so traveling is easy. The local beach is a 15 minute walk away and has recently undergone an extensive renovation at a cost of â?¬1.2 million. Other beautiful beaches with good facilities (toilets/changing/restaurants etc) are within easy driving distance, 10 - 20min. Descriptions, pictures and locations of numerous beaches are at the villa. Close by (within 20min drive max) are watersports, whale and dolphin watching, gyms, purpose built lidos and fun things for kids to do such as the aquapark and other theme parks, go-karting, bowling and camel riding. Golf Costa Adeje is 5 miles away, and several other excellent golf courses not much further. Details are at the villa. I recommend car hire to get the most from your holiday, but excellent bars and restaurants to suit every age, taste and budget, shops, hairdressers, supermarkets, banks, a chemist, a doctor and a newly opened luxury Spa/Sports complex are in Callao Salvaje and just a 10-15 minute walk from the house so it is not essential.

It's never been so easy to get to Tenerife. There are flights from most UK airports, the majority of them with budget airlines.
Fly in to Tenerife South airport (Reina Sofia) and I can arrange to pick you up, or you can get a taxi for about 30€, or you can hire a car. I recommend Autoreisen for reliable, economic and flexible car hire.
The drive to Callao Salvaje takes about 20 minutes. If you want to fly in to the North airport (Los Rodeos) then the drive to the villa will take just over an hour.
The nearest ferry port is Los Cristianos for ferries from other Canary Islands (a 15 minute drive) or Santa Cruz for ferries from mainland Spain (Cadiz).
The drive from here to Callao Salvaje takes about an hour and a quarter.

The price is for the villa regardless of number of guests.
An additional charge of £40 is levied if you would like the pool heating turned on between May and the end of October.
I require a deposit of £150 or 200 Euros to secure your booking. Payment may be made by bank transfer.The balance of your payment is due 8 weeks prior to departure, or on booking if less than 8 weeks before the rental commences.
I would like other guests to enjoy the villa as much as you will. For this reason, I ask that you a pay a damage deposit of £400 with the balance of the rental to cover any significant accidents.
The deposit will be refunded as soon as the villa has been inspected.
