This immaculately presented and generously appointed detached villa is located in a peaceful area of the resort of Callao Salvaje yet within a few minutes walk of all local amenities.
Now with air-conditioning, the lounge is comprehensively furnished and includes TV (BBC1, BBC2, ITV & Ch4 plus Sky & Sky Sports channels), DVD, video and CD systems. The kitchen is fully appointed with quality units and incorporates an oven, separate hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and freezer.
The master bedroom has a superkingsize bed and en-suite facilities. Two further double bedrooms on this level share a bathroom. On the lower level, a separate suite has twin beds with shower and en-suite facilities.
Outside there is sun terracing, a covered dining terrace, and a private swimming pool that has solar heating all year round with additional electrical heating in the winter months. There is a gas barbeque, patio furniture and sun loungers.

The Tenerife region
Tenerife, known as one of the fortunate islands, boasts fabulous year round weather. This sub-tropical Island has arguably has one of the best climates in the world.
A visit to Mount Teide is an amazing day out, driving from the arid coast, up through gently increasing vegetation, through Canarian pine forest, past barren lava fields, (scene of films like Planet of the Apes, Star Wars and the 10 Commandments, with evidence of the last eruption in 1909 is still very visible). A cable car journey to within 100 meters of the summit is well worthwhile, the views are stunning, and depending upon weather conditions it is possible to see the other Canarian islands. At 3,718 meters, Teide is the highest mountain in Spain, and is the second largest slope volcano in the world and the surrounding area is one of Spain’s national parks.
The fascinating neighbouring island of La Gomera can be visited by a short boat trip, it has been left largely undeveloped by the tourist industry. Again it is volcanic with dramatic scenery, the native Gomerians have developed a unique whistling language for long distance communication across deep gorges, and the centre of the island is again a Spanish national park, but very different to Teide, as this is heavily forested and contains 30 foot heather trees from prehistoric times.
The 500 metre cliffs droping straight into the sea at Las Gigantes are spectacular, along with the black sand beach and the cafes along side the marina, ideal to take a boat trip and go whale and dolphin watching.
There are numerous other beaches, of both black and white sand including of course Las Americas, Las Christianos, and our favourite, the nearby and prestigious Bahia del Duque near La Calletta.
Callao Salvaje area
The quiet town of Callao Salvaje is situated on the South Western Coast of Tenerife and enjoys perhaps the finest and sunniest microclimate on the whole of the island.. The town has both a local residential and tourist population, There are plenty of bars and restaurants along the road to the seafront catering for both Spanish and tourists . Several small local supermarkets and a range of other shops cater for immediate day to day needs, and all within easy walking distance of the villa. Other large supermarkets are situated at Adeje just a short distance away, close to the end of the motorway from the airport. The small local beach consists of both sand and pebbles, with plans to upgrade shortly, and the remains of a jetty is popular with fishermen.
There are some excellent leisure facilities that include golf, tennis, squash, boat trips and water sports.
From Callao Salvaje, the busy nightlife and huge beaches of Los Christianos and Playa del Los Americas are just 10 minutes by car or a short bus or taxi ride. The alternative towns of San Juan and Los Gigantes are a similar distance but in the opposite direction!
Other activities and attractions within a 20 minute drive include :-
Aqualand Water Park, Park Las Aguilas Jungle Park Sky Park Gokarts Quad bikes
It is therefore a great location for families and also for people who like to be near some action, but not all the time!
How to get there
Fly to Tenerife South. The villa is a 30 minute drive from the airport. There is always a plentiful supply of local taxis available at the airport.

The rental rates are very competitive and they have an office which has a window that opens onto the baggage reclaim hall at the airport. So, whilst some members of your party can wait to collect your baggage from the carousel, the driver can present his documents at the office and collect the keys to the car. Very convenient. The rental car parking and collection area is directly opposite to the exit from the arrivals exit.

Further details indoors: The accommodation comprises, a very comfortably furnished air conditioned lounge with 2 sofas and three individual relaxer chairs. two sets of double doors opening to the terrace, ceiling fans, TV with Sky satellite for UK channels, including the Premium Sky Sports package plus DVD, video and CD systems.
The 2 principle bedrooms are large and airy with superkingsize (6ft width) beds and plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. The master bedroom has the benefit of en suite facilities.
Bedroom 3 has a standard double bed, whilst bedroom 4 on the lower level is again very large and has twin beds with en suite facilities.
There is a well fitted Kitchen with eye level oven/grill, electric ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, ample storage cupboards and granite work tops. There is a separate laundry room with automatic washing machine and a separate tumble drier.
Further details outdoors: The extensive terraces extend to three sides of the property giving both excellent sunbathing and essential shaded areas at any time of the day. Six steps lead down to the private pool which has an even depth of 5 feet throughout its length. The pool is always maintained at a beautifully comfortable temperature....at any time of year.
There are two sets of dining tables and chairs, ample sun loungers and a front garden stocked with 2 mature palm trees and flowering shrubs.
The views from the rear of the property are of a very open aspect, uncluttered by adjacent properties. There are magnificent views of both the sea across to the island of La Gomera and of the mountains including Mount Teidi.

Conditions
A returnable Security Deposit is required, by means of a £300 cheque which will not be cashed until after your return from holiday if there are any losses or damages. Any damages will be deducted at cost. This should be sent as a separate cheque with the final balance in October.
Of course, if there are no losses or damages then the cheque will be returned to you uncashed within 7 days of your return. We sincerely hope that the latter option will prevail!

Changeover day is normally on a Friday as there are far more flights to Tenerife on a Friday than on any other day of the week.
