Home description

A well appointed one bedroom apartment (sleeps 4) with stunning sea views at the Pearly Grey hotel/apartment. You will find all you need for a relaxing holiday here. Pool, sun deck, restaurant, bar, children's play area, gym, sauna and beauty treatments, plus excellent evening entertainment on site for the whole family.
Located just north of Playa De Las Americas, in the small coastal town of Callao Salvaje, it is idealy located for all the main attractions of Tenerife including its beaches, mountain scenery and night life.
Callao Salvaje has a small, untouched beach and numerous small restaurants and bars to eat relax in. A good bus and taxi service serves Playa De Las Americas and other surrounding areas.
The apartment is cleaned prior to your arrival with fresh linen and towels.
We also provide a small welcom pack for you on arrival including milk, tea and bottled water etc.
The complex has a 24 hour reception desk CCTV and we have a 24 hour call out service with our local representative in the event of any problems for your peace of mind.
We can arrange airport transfers and car hire.

The Tenerife region

Tenerife has a sub-tropical island with one of the best climates in the world.
This volcanic island features both black and golden sand beaches. The south of the island is dryer and tends to be the sunny side compared with the north which has more lush vegetation.
The neighbouring island of La Gomera can be seen from the balcony and well worth a visit by taking one of the regular boat trips for a day.
Mount Teide can be seen dominating the island from almost anywhere. Don't leave Tenerife without taking a trip on the cable car which takes you to within 100 meters of the summit. The views from there are awesome and the landscape is out of this world!


Callao Salvaje area

Calao Salvaje is located on the south west costs of Tenerife which is less populated than other parts of the island yet is within easy reach of all the major towns and attractions including the magnificent beaches of Los Christianos and Playa Del Los Americas, both of which are a short taxi or bus ride away.
The apartment is located in the centre of the town in a quiet area with the many small bars, restaurants and local shops nearby. There is a supermarket opposite the complex for all your daily grocery needs and the bus stop and taxi rank a short walk away. The beach is a short walk down the road and consists of dramatic boulders, pebbles and some sand. A quiet, uncrowded place to relax away from it all. Excellent golf courses are a short drive away. The small, still unspoilt, fishing town of El Puertito is a 5 minute drive and a good place to go to find a sea-side fishing village that is still unspoilt by tourism and is a great place to relax with a cold beer in the seafront bar. The only bar in town! Take your snorkel and discover the under sea world around this safe bay.
Visit La Caleta, just a few bays down the coast, for the evening and eat at one of the many superb restaurants around the bay.

How to get there

Fly into Tenerife South airport [TFS] (Aeropuerto Tenerife Sur Reina Sofia).
Take the TF 1 South and contine on the TF1 for about ½ hour until it ends at a roundabout. Go left on to the TF 47 towards Playa Paraiso. After about ½ mile and two roundabouts, take a left turn signposted towards Callao Salvaje.
Follow the road to the end and turn right at the 'T' junction The apartment complex 'Perla Grits' (Pearly Grey) is immediatly on the left.

Located in a great position on the 3rd floor, it is a well appointed and equipped apartment which enjoys stunning, uninterrupted sea views from the private balcony looking out over the south west cost and La Gomera island in the distance.
Two single beds in the bedroom with a sofa bed in the lounge area provide the sleeping accommodation. Fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom with bath/shower, WC, wash hand basin and bidet. Satellite TV, DVD player. Safe, ceiling fans in bedroom and lounge. CCTV and 24 hour reception.
In our opinion, the Pearly Grey complex is the best in the Callao Salvaje area and an ideal holiday for a small family or adult couple. A great place to relax and get to know the friendly, professional staff and fellow holiday-makers.
Guests return again and again to this friendly, British run apartment & hotel complex.

Further details outdoors:
The complex is built right on the cliff side. This apartment in particular has an exceptional, uninterrupted view of the sea from the balcony.
There are friendly staff and entertainment during the day and evening for the whole family.
For a small fee, you can enjoy the extensive gym facilities built under the pool area which includes a fully equipped exercise room, sauna and cold room with an on-site trainer to assist you.
There is a children's pool and play area, an outdoor spa, a hairdressing and beauty treatment salon, pool side bar and restaurant all on site.

This apartment is privately owned.
The beach at Callao Salvaje is not developed and remains in its natural condition, with large boulders, pebbles and some small areas of sand. Never crowded. Peaceful.
The outdoor swimming pool is heated during the winter months.
Parking is available opposite the main reception entrance or around the complex.
Most guests are British. All staff speak good English.
We think its the best apart-hotel complexe in Callao Salvaje.


Conditions

A deposit of 20% of the total rental secures a booking.
The balance is payable anytime up to 1 month prior to the rental date.
A full refund is made if cancelling 2 months before the start of the booking.
Prices are based on renting the apartment as a whole for 4 people but we would not recommend 4 adults together. Two adults and two children, or two adults only would be better suited here. For very young children, we can provide a cot if required for a small additional charge.
The charges are per week for the whole apartment which includes a mid booking linen and towel change on or around day 7. This is a family resort so stag parties are inappropriate and not welcome here.
No smoking in the apartment.
