This is a 14th century village that until 1922 housed Greek occupants. However after the Turkish government signed a 'population exchange' agreement with Greece the occupants left leaving it deserted. Not far away and worth a visit.
These tombs were excavated into the natural rock in the fourth century BC during the Lycian Period. The ones on the picture below are of the tombs at Dalyan but Fethiye has similar.
an icy cold river rushes down a 300 metre gorge for 18 kms. This is a beautiful refuge on a hot summer day where you enjoy a picnic or eat at one of the rustic resteraunts overhanging the river. You can also take an exilerating rubber tube ride down the river.
DALYAN MUD BATHS
Dalyan has thermal springs containing many minerals as well as mud baths. Dalyan has many therapeutic hot springs. The waters are believed to cure rheumatism, skin, liver, spleen and bowel complaints, as well as being beneficial for nervous and digestive disorders. The Sultaniye Thermal Bath which is famous in Turkey, the water is 40 degrees Centigrade. The mud baths are also said to remedy rheumatism as well as cleanse and beautify the skin. Once you have covered yourself in the mud, wait for a few minutes to dry it. You then clean yourself in the sulphur pool. Mud bath is also at a temperature of 40 degrees. A must for a day trip.

Swim, top up that tan or snorkel in the water. This is an excellent day trip and can be booked through most agencies or visit the harbour in Fethiye and book directly. Most tours leave at 10 a.m. and get back about 6p.m. A recent trip we took cost only £10 each and included a generous lunch. There are many boats doing these trips to choose from.
Take a trip up Babadag mountain and paraglide off in tandem over beautiful Olu Deniz. This exhilerating experience can last for up to 50 minutes. This expereience can be booked through many agencies in the area.

"Excellent accommodation , clean, safe and private."
Highly recommend this apartment, - clean, bright and welcoming on a nice private complex with a fantastic pool which the kids had to themselves as we traveled late September / early October.
The front balcony is brilliant in the morning - a real suntrap, and it was so relaxing and peaceful to unwind with a few drinks on the large rear balcony after a day out. Both balconies give a wonderful view of the sky's colour when the sun goes down.
It's a fair walk down to the main centre and promenade but the dolmus will stop for you just 100 yards from the door , and there is also a taxi call button at the gate - just press it and a taxi will be there within 5 minutes ( usually less ! ).
There's plenty of info provided in the apartment to help you decide on restaurants, trips and transport. Many of the restaurants are attached to hotels and will collect you and drop you back at the apartment. Try and use the dolmus whenever possible as they are frequent and cheap ( 1.5 TL from the apartment right into Fethiye) but if you take a taxi negotiate the price before you get in and remember the price goes up after midnight.
There are several fine restaurants within walking distance as Calis is an expanding resort and they are significantly cheaper than down at the beach.
I'd also recommend the airport transfer which the owners will arrange for you if required, our flight arrived at 5.30am at Dalaman and the driver was there to collect us right on time and to take us back 2 weeks later.
I'd have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to any of my friends and would certainly book again if we ever decide to go back to Calis.

A beautiful spacious appart with everything that you need, spotlessly clean with well kept grounds and pool, within walking distance of Calis which has ample bars/restaurants especially on the sea front.. I'd recommend the Jeep Safari trip and the Orient Express restaurant on the sea front, excellent food and hospitality. Local transport (dolmus) is an excellent way to travel around to explore other areas. Appart is in a quiet area but in easy reach of bars etc, overall a very relaxing holiday, would definately reccommend. the locals are very friendly and helpful, they'll do anything for you.

"A great apartment in lovely grounds"
The apartment itself was great - two good sized bedrooms (one double, one twin) , a large open plan living/dining/kitchen area, and a small bathroom. Washing machine is great for rinsing swimming stuff, and it was so hot that things air dried on the balcony in hours.
The Orange Park apartments is excellent - good sized plot, four blocks each containing four apartments, all centred around a large and warm pool. Most of the apartments are holiday homes so there was a nice communal feel to the place - although there were some days when our six year old boy was the only child there, no-one seemed to mind the subsequent noise and splashing....
Calis is a nice resort, not too big but with plenty of good places to eat, especially down on the beachfront. The larger town of Fethiye is not far away, and fun to get there either by the small buses that run regular services between the two places, or the Boat Taxi, which runs every half hour.
We'd definitely go back again.

"Beautiful apartment, lovely swimming pool and great holiday."
Fantastic place to stay. The apartment is in a lovely little complex so there's other people around but it's not crowded. The pool was great and the kids played in there for hours. The whole place is very attractive and kept nice and clean. Calis centre is within walking distance although I suggest you take a drink with you during the day! People in Calis were very friendly; plenty of shops/bars/restaurants and a long beach where kids are safe. Would definitely go again
Thanks for doing the review. Hope you can come again.

"Fabulous apartment and location"
We stayed at Orange Park for 2 weeks. The apartment had absolutely everything we needed - it was home from home.We found it spotlessly clean, well furnished and very comfotable. The apartment is near enough the the resort centre to be part of the action if you want to be but far enough away to benefit from full peace and quiet. The pool was quiet every day, usually no one else in there. The neighbours were very friendly and helpful, there are a number of English people living on the complex. There are so many things to do in the area and many of the trip organisers will organise transport to and from the apartment.Thank you for our stay at your lovely apartment - we can't wait to come back again.
