Villa / 3 bedrooms / sleeps 6
The Lissa Links Complex, built in 2005, consists of 29 privately owned villas and is considered to have the best swimming pools and gardens in the Calis area.
The Villa is large and spacious, well appointed and recently furnished with quality fixture and fittings. There are 3 bedrooms each with their own bathroom and can sleep up to 6 people. The villa benefits from all the comforts of home plus it has 3 balconies, a veranda and its own garden/BBQ.
The Villa is located in a quiet relaxing location but is within easy reach of all amenities, bars, restaurants, a small Water Park, the beach/promenade and just a short bus/taxi/boat ride from the bustling Fethiye Harbour area. The more lively resorts such as Olu Deniz and Hisaronu are just 20 minutes away by taxi.
Calis Beach is in fantastic location and benefits from a very long beach, many bars and restaurants, a long promenade and beautiful scenery. The Sunsets over the bay and the many islands are legionary. It is connected by excellent and cheap transportation such as the Dolmus buses (cost 2 lira per person), Sea Taxi's and normal Taxi's. Car hire isn't needed but if required these can be rented cheaply.
Calis is a quiet resort favoured by the English tourists. The restaurants all serve good food at a very reasonable price with traditional Turkish kebabs/mezes and other cultures such as Chinese and Indian food. There are good transport links to other resorts such as Fethiye (15 mins), Hisaronu (25 mins) and Olu Deniz (35 mins).
Fethiye is very traditional and a wonderful place to explore. Fethiye has a large harbour and marina with many restaurants around the harbour area. Fethiye also has an 'Old Town' area where the many alley-ways serve a multitude of restaurants and shops. Here you will experience true Turkish culture.
For those who enjoy the more lively resorts, Hisaronu and Olu Deniz are within reach by taxi or the Dolmus bus. Here you will find a much livelier night life favoured by the young at heart. Olu Deniz is also famous for its Blue Lagoon and Para-gliding.

The Turkish Aegean Coast region
Things to do
(Also check www.fethiyelife.com for more details about the area).
Boat Trips. There are a host of excursion companies that run daily boat trips from Fethiye waterfront out to numerous islands and bays. You must try the famous 12 Islands Tour. These trips average about £7 to £10 person for the whole day including lunch and are great value.
Private Sailing Yacht Day (Gulet). If you are with many friends, do charter a Gulet for the day. These are old Turkish sailing boats and will go wherever you ask. Gliding through the turquoise sea powered just by the wind is fantastic. The cost varies depending upon numbers. (20 people and it cost around £25 each which included food and drink.)
Overland trips include visits to famous historical sites like Ephesus, Pamukkale, Sakillent Gorge and many others.
Olu Deniz (Blue Lagoon)- This famous beach resort is a great place to spend a day on the beach and an evening meal. When you get to the waterfront head of to the far right to the lagoon area
Para gliding in Olu Deniz – arrange these once you are in Olu Deniz with one of the various companies, prices from £50 or less for a tandem jump.
Beaches – if you do hire a car, you must vist Patara beach. This is a protected area with hardly any buildings nearby apart from the old temples and ruins that you have to drive through to reach the beach. On the same journey you must visit Kas.
Dalyan – This is the most beutiful excursion. Dalyan sits on the banks of a river overlooking the old Lyceum temples in the hills oposite. The river snakes through the reeds into an estury full of some very large turtles. The river joins the sea where there is a very large white sandy beach.
Kayakoy – Also known as the Ghost Town. This is a village that was deserted many years ago when the Greeks were evicted.
Diving trips – again various companies arrange diving trips and an introductory day trip is recommended.
White Water Rafting – not for the faint hearted. The 3 hour journey up the mountains to the head of the rapids alone is something never to be forgotten. The rapids take you through a 1000ft deep ravine and breath taking landscape.......plus some awsome rapids.
Quad Biking – Spend a day travelling through mountain tracks exploring parts of Turkey you would otherwise miss. Small children are allowed to travel as passengers so the whole family can enjoy this fun packed day out.
Markets – Calis has a weekly Market on a Sunday situated to the rear of the Villa. There is also a much larger weekly one in Fethiye by the canal just in from the waterfront on Tuesdays. Remember to haggle on the price and shop around – the Turkish love it and it is necessary in order to get a bargain.
Water Park – This is based in Calis on the main road just before the traffic lights. It is a fun day out and great for the kids. There is a much larger Water Park in Ovacik.
Eating and Drinking
There are many bars and restaurants in and around Calis and Fethiye. Calis caters well for the tourists along the main beach front and the road leading to the beach. If you walk to the far right end of the Promenade, the bars and restaurants are good value, very Turkish and laid back (almost Hippie style) whereas to the far left you will reach the Sat Beacj Club which is excellent albeit can be expensive.
If you like meat, the mixed Kebabs are recommended. If you like Fish, you wil be spoilt and you must visit the Fish Market in Fethiye where you buy your own fish and then take this to one of the restuarants where they will cook your food for a small charge.
Turkish Mezes are a must. The restuarants in Fethiye are best for these. Ask for a seafood meze and be willing to be amazed....
Our favourite places are:
Bella Mama's. Italian just as you enter the Calis Promenade by the road bridge.
Casa Mama. Same again
Fish Market. Fethiye back streets. The best fish meal I have ever had…..
Serkul. Calis Promenade. (This is a Chinese)
Nil Bar. Calis Promenade. Very popular
Café Inn. By the Calis Market. Cheap but good and you get loads.
Alo 24. By the Calis Market. Again Cheap, good and loads.
Any Restaurant along the Fethiye Harbour but especially the very last one next to the Ece Marina
Any Restaurant within the 'Old Town' in Fethiye
Sat Beach Club. Far left of Calis Prom. Good for food and daytime beach facilities.
Hami Bar. Calis Promenade between the road and foot bridge.
