5 star villa within walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants. Make life long memories i this 4 bedroom villa with private gardens, pool and modern furnishings. Excellent location, Calis is renowned for its spectacular sunsets, and is increasingly popular for a relaxing beach holiday. The beach is backed by a promenade lined with a wide selection of restaurants and bars. The Aquacity Waterpark is a great place for the family and other water-sports are available on the beach throughout the day. Calis market is on Sunday where you can find the usual selection of leather goods, clothing, fruit and veg as well as spices, teas, etc, but remember to haggle! Also catch the local bus from the main road to Fethiye then on to the surrounding areas of Hisaronu and Oludeniz. There is a very good taxi service which is reasonably priced.

We bought the villa off plan in October 2011 and were able to choose all the fixtures and fittings and have furnished it to a very high standard. We have a family and wanted somewhere close to the beach, within walking distance of amenities, private pool and quiet location. This ticked all the boxes. We enjoy every holiday we have in our villa and want everyone who stays at Hambling Villa to experience this unique part of Turkey.

About this location
The Turkish Aegean Coast region
Turkeys most southwestern shore, noted for its fine beaches and stunning scenery, has long been dubbed 'the Turquoise Coast' in tourist-board speak, after the hues of its horizons and the sea. It's dominated by the Baba, Akdag and Bey mountains, which drop precipitously to the main coastal highway which often skims just above the water. Along here, and some way inland, lay ancient Lycia, whose independent people bequeathed a legacy of distinctive rock tombs to Turkish tourism.
Until the late 1970's there was no continuous paved road through here and most seaside settlements were reachable only by boat. Many attractive coves and islets are still inaccessible to vehicles, with yachting and gullet trips accordingly popular.
Fethiye is a bustling town that has retained much of its Turkish character as market centre for truckloads of citrus fruit and vegetables from the fertile hinterland. Most of the visitors come from out-of-town resorts to shop at the wonderful market, or join a cruise to see the green mountainous coastline.
Above Fethiye, curiously straddling a mountain pass en route to one of Turkey's most photographed beaches, the striking lagoon of Oludeniz, the adjoining resorts of Ovacik and Hisaronu are packed with bars, cafes and restuarants orientated to British visitors.
Oludenis itselt, in an norrow valley behind an attractive beach near the lagoon, is within walking distance of the seafront. Faralya, built on an olive and pine-clad mountainside above plunging, beach fronted Butterfly Valley, is more remote, as is the lovely valley that fronts Kaya Koyu the abandoned Greek village made famous in the novel Birds without wings, by Louis de Bernieres.
