Villa Miradouro is located in Faja da Ovelha-Calheta south west coast of the Island, an area blessed with stunning unspoilt countryside, bird wild life (binoculars recommended) and quaint villages “Paul and Jardim do Mar”, it is a mere 15 minutes drive from the seaside resort of Calheta. The Villa is south facing with excellent exposure to the sunshine, offering spectacular panoramic views of a lighthouse, countryside, coastline and incredible sunset views. Guaranteed absolute tranquillity and relaxation. Completely renovated in 2004 in modern style with rustic features, tastefully furnished to a high standard. The Villa benefits from a swimming pool 10 x 5 metres with a heated shower, built-in BBQ with a large patio lit up for open-air dining. With an open-plan layout, the villa is spacious and offers maximum natural light, it also offers a furnished veranda and breakfast room both overlooking the sea.

Paul do Mar is situated within 7 minutes drive from the Villa and is ideal for keen fisherman.
There are watersports available in Calheta.

Further details indoors:
Bedroom 1 (large doube bed) has french windows that opens out and leads onto the veranda overlooking the pool and the Atlantic inviting you to read or just relax in the shade of a sunny afternoon.
Bedroom 2 (double bed / twin beds when requested) has french windows that opens out and leads into the garden with village views.
Dining room has a log fire for the winter season and additional oil filled radiators throughout.
There is also a window seating area in the dining room looking out onto the entrance garden.
Although the property consists of two floors, only the first floor is available for rental as the the ground floor is being used for storage.

Further details outdoors:
By the pool side there is a heated shower. Outside of the barbecue there is a large lit patio with dining area for eight. The villa is fitted with an alarm system and electric remote control gates. The garden area consists of over 1400sqm and is illuminated throughout. For Bird life and Sea life enthusiasts we recommend our guests to pack a pair of binoculars.

Due to the pool and verandas for safety reasons we recommend parental supervision at all times where young children are concerned.
Wireless ADSL Broadband is available at €15 per week payable at the Villa to our representative.
Hairdryer is provided however we request that guests provide beach towels for the sun beds.
Please bring your own DVDs, CDs.
An appointed representative will meet and greet you on arrival to familiarise with the villa and surrounding area, she will be available should you encounter any difficulties.
Guest and information book is available.
Maid service provided three days per week.
Meet and greet at the airport €60.00 (on request).
Although a welcome pack will be provided, groceries shopping can be arranged on request (payable on arrival).
Bookings can be organized for guided walks / excursions / deep-sea fishing / sport activities / typical Madeira nights with folklore / car rental and others independently with our representative.

Conditions

Reservations: A 30% non-refundable deposit must accompany all bookings to obtain confirmation.
Balance of rental is payable eight weeks before arrival date, further information will be given in our contract.
A refundable deposit of £150 is required for damages, breakages, keys and remote control.
Monday is our preferred changeover day however we are flexible.
Accommodation available from 3pm on the day of arrival to 12am on the day of departure, however, we will always try to work around this for you.
We recommend our guests to take out travel insurance.
No pets allowed.

No smoking permitted inside of the property, please make use of the verandas.

Everything about the accommodation was excellent with high quality fittings in the kitchen and bathrooms.The BBQ is a superb feature and was well used. Maid service could not be better.Whilst some may consider its location to be off the beaten track we found it to be a superb centre for touring the West of the Island ,in particular. "Once off the main highway, and you've followed the winding roads through the hillside and the tunnels, you find the secluded private hilltop property of Villa Miradouro. The gardens are beautifully set on 3 levels ... we were spoilt for choice in an evening whether to watch the sea views from the rooftop terrace, the house top balcony, the swimming pool terrace, or the BBQ walled garden terrace. The attention to detail in the property is fabulous and everything was spotlessly clean, new and fresh - it was as if I'd walked into my own home, the views from the master bedroom balcony are simply stunning. Perfect for utter relaxation, cleanliness, privacy and luxurious comfort. You need a car here, as the island has so much to offer - but don't even think of going to Madeira if you want noise, crowded sandy beaches, children's adventure parks, late night bars, nightlife or rowdy neighbours - it is none of these thankfully, but you have to be prepared for that, and this area lends itself to those that are looking for a quiet, refined holiday with great restaurants a short drive away, good day trips out, and all the luxury you could ever want in a stunning property. The pool is large and ideal for swimmers, rather than very young children. Our children were 5 and 7 but good swimmers which meant that they enjoyed the pool. Younger children would need constant watching."

"My wife and I have stayed at many villas over the years in many countries and Villa Miradouro is one of the very best. Its location is superb and its spacious accommodation met all our expectations. The gardens are extensive and the pool excellent. We made full use of the BBQ once we came to terms with the fact that things got very smokey in the BBQ house. We would recommend the villa to anyone who wishes to visit Madeira.

Just to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday in Madeira.
Your villa and gardens are beautiful and the best we have ever stayed in, we had a very chilled out holiday. The view and sunsets are magnificent and your swimming pool was excellent, we used the pool most evenings as it was very hot around 6 pm which we found very strange but it was a lovely way to relax after being out during the day.
Your housekeeper Maria keeps your villa spotless and she was very pleasant.
We found Marta to be very helpful and she was very informative when she showed us around your villa, she also gave us lots of informatiion on places to visit.
