This lovely, spacious and airy front line holiday rental apartment is set on 2 levels like a house and has unbelievable 1st line views of the marina at Caleta de Velez, beach and promenade. All rooms, except for the bathrooms, have patio doors to outside terraces so you can sit and enjoy the sea breeze. The spacious lounge with its separate dining room area, and the master bedroom upstairs, have south facing sea view terraces where you can sit back and relax to the sound of the waves.
Complex has communal pool and tennis court. The 4km beach and flat promenade stretches from just outside of the apartment to Torre del Mar or the other way to Algarobbo Costa so is perfect for strolling along as they are lined with plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy on the way at cheap prices! No hills to contend with! Less than 2 minutes walk to the nearest café/bars, restaurants, shops, banks in several directions. New Aldi supermarket across the road by end of 2012! Baviera Golf course is less than 5 mins drive.

On the first floor is the shower room with toilet, kitchen with outside terrace, lounge and dining area with outside terraces. Upstairs is a further bathroom with a shower cubicle, toilet and 3 bedrooms with outside terraces. All beds have good mattresses and protectors.
All terraces have table and chairs and there is one sun lounger.
There are a couple of parasols, beach chairs and a cool box.
The cooker has 2 gas hobs, one electric hotplate and a BBQ type grill.
Inside the apartment are plenty of books and a huge range of DVD's, including children's, plus music CD's.
There are fans for the summer and electric heaters for the winter.
Whilst this apartment is on the 3rd floor it is only 2 flights of stairs up because the ground floor is classed as the first floor. There is a lift. Access to the apartment is via a security intercom system.
Further details outdoors:
The apartment sits in well maintained gardens. It doesn't overlook the pool or tennis courts so no noise. The swimming pool is normally open from mid June to mid September and will close for siesta time, i.e. lunch and a nap, however you have the beach on your door step.
The tennis courts are open all year round.
Parking is just in front of the apartment block and away from the road.
An English speaking representative will greet you at the apartment to handover the keys, explain how things work and show you around unless otherwise agreed. You will also have a dedicated point of contact during your stay.
There is an information pack in the house.
A welcome pack can be provided upon request.
A 30% booking deposit is payable up front. The remaining balance is payable 8 weeks before you arrive. A damage deposit of 100 GBP is payable and refunded subject to no damage. Full booking terms and conditions will be sent along with a booking form to complete.
We do not want to exclude smokers staying at the apartment however smoking is restricted to the terrace areas and there are ashtrays.
For stays of 2 weeks an interim change of bed linen and towels will be provided after the first week and is included in the price. An interim clean will be extra. You will be expected to leave the apartment clean and tidy otherwise your damage deposit is at risk.
The Costa del Sol region
The Costa Del Sol is renown for its excellent climate throughout the year, which makes it one of the most popular holiday destinations. Not only a summer resort but the mild climate means you can take advantage of a range of outside activities during the winter months. Caleta de Velez is situated between Torre del Mar and Algarrobo Costa - both are within easy walking distance.
The area is flat and has not been over developed as with some of the west coast areas - original features have been preserved so you can still enjoy typical streets, squares, traditional food at good prices. There is a good bus service into coastal resorts east of Caleta de Velez such as Torrox Costa or Nerja, famous for its caves, 20 minutes.
Malaga city can also be reached by bus and has a train station to some of the resorts on the west coast. A small working town slightly inland close to Torre del Mar is Velez Malaga. Some typical white washed Andalucian villages to discover such as Frigiliana and Torrox Pueblo.
The Caleta de Velez area
Caleta de Velez 4 km long flat promenade/beach stretches to Torre del Mar - approx 10 minutes walk and in the other direction to Algarrobo Costa. You'll will often see joggers in the morning so if you want to get fit then this location is perfect and its on your door step! The promenade does continue along further than 4 km for the more experienced runners.
There are bars and restaurants on the beach and promenade serving traditional specialities. There is exercise equipment and children's park facilities on the beach at Caleta, Algarrobo and Torre del Mar.
There is a bus stop just two minutes across from the apartment block and there is Aldi supermarket so you can take the shopping trolley that's in the apartment and walk across easily.
There are water sports as well as boat moorings at the marina which is just a few minutes walk. On the other side of the apartment block is like a traditional town with lots of little family run cafe bars, restaurants plus supermarkets, banks, bread shop, cake shops, a new gym etc.
Every Saturday morning this area hosts a huge street market, great for local produce - this is one of the best markets in the area.
An aqua park is close by as well as a shopping centre. Baviera golf is close too.
Cyclists can hire bikes in Torre del Mar from 4 euros per day or scooters from 14 euros per day or even a motorbike from 34 euros per day. If you don't fancy running along the promenade then a cycle ride is great too because it is all flat!
At night if you walk along the promenade towards Torre del Mar you will find the main area and nightlife.

Airlines to Malaga from the UK and Ireland include BMI baby, Easyjet, Monarch, Flybe, Ryanair, Aerlingus.
Car hire is not necessary but there is a designated parking area to the front of the apartment block which isn't on the road.
If you catch a taxi from the airport we recommend pre-booking which we can do on your behalf using a local friendly taxi company - the price is normally about 55 euros one way for 4 people. However, there are other companies below if you wish to arrange yourself. If you tell them that its Puerto Caleta de Velez then they should be able to quote you without the full address.

This must be one of the secret bargains of Spain. A well-equipped super sun-soaked hideaway with direct views of the charming fishing port of Caleta and a short stroll from the splendid promenade to the bustling Torre de Mar. A rare stretch of the Costa de Sol to have retained its authenticity (real Spaniards live and work here) and to have escaped the curse of continuous concrete. Highly recommended.

We spent a 10 day out of season holiday with four teenagers! We were a little worried that they would be bored but in fact we all had a fabulous time. My husband and I had a very relaxing and cultural break and they managed to find plenty to do both during the day and the night. The apartment was excellent and really well positioned for the beach and local amenities. It was on a good bus route to Malaga and Nerja. The local people were extremely friendly and helpful and we soon felt part of the community. There were a variety of good restaurants and a local Lidls for those evenings you want to eat in!! All in all we had a fabulous time and would certainly return again!

Three adults travelled with one 7 year old... The apartment had everything we needed and was spotless... The owner very welcoming and gave us all the information we needed for around the area.
The walks along the promenade good for children and even in mid September, there were many bars and a variety of restaurants open..
A fantastic time was had by all...
