For those seeking winter and summer sunshine you will enjoy sun on the terrace from early morning to late afternoon.
The kitchen/dining room is equipped to a good standard and the comfortable air conditioned lounge area features English TV. There are two bedrooms one with double bed and the other with 2 singles with the lounge area boasting a double sofa bed and child's bed.
This lovely apartment is situated in a quiet residential area of Caleta de Velez. It enjoys panoramic views of the bay and the sea. A leisurely stroll brings you to a wide range of cafes, shops, the marina and the beach. There is a local market held every Saturday morning.
For the keen golfers there is an excellent golf course within a 5 minute drive featuring wide undulating fairways, large sloping greens, several attractive water hazards as well as boasting views of the mountains and the sea.
Caleta de Velez is located just off the E7, the main motorway that runs along the Costa del Sol. To the east you will find Nerja a short distance away featuring some beautiful caves as well as a bustling town centre both during the day and at night. To the west is Malaga a 40 minute drive. Malaga is the capital of the Costa del Sol and features many shops as well as boasting a busy port thats a regular stop for many cruise ships .

The pool area has sun loungers. parasols and an array of inflatables for playing with in the pool. It is set in a gated area making it safer for the younger clientel. The pool is 8m x 4m with a depth of 1m at the shallow end gradually increasing to 2m at the deep end. It has a handrail down one side and across the back of the deep end for use by the less confident swimmer.

The best climate in Europe, with lots of sunshine all year round over 300 days of sunshine a year. The climate is mild and equable, the mean annual temperature being about 19 °C (66 °F).
The inner city of Málaga is just behind the harbour. The quarters of El Perchel, La Trinidad and Lagunillas surround this centre, with lovely historic buildings, castle, and Picasso Museum in the old part of Málaga, with lots of tapas bars, restaurants and shops, this city is well worth a visit.
Nerja is accessible by bus, or 15 minutes by car, with the famous El Balcon, narrow streets, restaurants, bars and lots of nightlife.
The apartment is centrally positioned for exploring Andalucia, Cadiz, Gibraltar, Seville, Marbella, Ronda, Granada, Sierra Nevada, and Almeria are all within a 2-3 hour drive.
The Caleta de Velez / Caleta del sol area
Caleta de Velez is on the east of the Costa Del Sol. It is next to the towns of Torre del Mar, and Velez Malaga, these remain a very Spanish area where the spanish way of life exists. A promenade runs along the Mediterranean coastline from the marina at Caleta to the end of Torre del Mar and is a pleasant walk, passing a great selection of cafes, bars and restaurants. During the summer months there are market stalls, children’s fun fairs and local open-air entertainment. Sun lounges and parasols are available for hire on many parts of the beach.
Caleta de Velez is a pretty fishing town only 30 kilometres from Malaga with superb beaches, an impressive marina, a large and colourful Saturday morning street market and the 18-hole Baviera golf course.
Caleta means bay in Spanish and the name of this town literally means The Bay of Velez-Malaga. Velez-Malaga, the historic capital of the area with a traditional town centre, theatre, central hospital and water park plus the large El Ingenio shopping mall, is just a kilometre away. Caleta is unique in having a village atmosphere with all amenities on hand plus it is a short stroll along the attractive promenade, lined with palm trees and nesting green parrots, to the lively adjacent resort of Torre del Mar, and a two minute drive to the Mediterranean Motorway which connects east to west and north to south.
The local full 18 hole golf course is Baviera Golf. 3 minutes drive to the club house (discount available) www.bavieragolf.com. Other golf courses available within a 20 km radius.
There are many local banks. There is a big shopping mall in Velez Malaga with a big supermarket with shops like Zara, Mango etc. and a cinema.
Everyday of the week there is a market locally except Sundays in different villages on Saturday the market is in Caleta.
Local activites include horse riding, scuba diving, aqua park, and go karting.
There is a skiing resort at Sierra Nevada in Granada which is one hour and a half hours by car.
Granada’s Alhambra Palace and science park are not to be missed and take about one and a half hours drive.
Malaga Centre is about 25 minutes by car/about 45 minutes by frequent buses.
Gilbratar is approximately one and a half hours by car.
Malaga Airport is approximately 35 minutes by car.

Fly to Malaga airport. (Easy Jet, Ryanair, Jet2, Monarch, BMI Baby and Aerlingus etc).
There are many car hire companies renting cars at Malaga Airport (Crown, Record, Lido, Europe, Hertz etc.) and you can get cheaper rates on the internet by booking in advance.
It's an easy drive and takes approx 40 minutes. Follow signs out of the airport towards Almeria and Motril and motorway A7/ E15. Continue on this Road until you get to Exit 274 Caleta de Velez. The apartment is about 1 mile from here. Directions from Exit 274 to the property will be given upon booking confirmation.
By Train or Bus - Take Train (or bus) into Malaga from Malaga Airport and then a bus to Torre del Mar. It's then a short taxi ride or approx 40 minute walk to apartment.

The owners couldn't have been more helpful in making sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The apartment is quietly situated, comfortable, well furnished and the swimming pool will be a great asset for a visit in the warmer months. The view from the apartment overlooks the sea and the town of Caleta de Valez which is a five minute walk down the hill. Here you will find most things you need including supermarkets, restaurants and a pretty walk along the promenade to the next town, Torre del Mar. It is a good central point for exploring Andalusia, plenty places to visit within a day's drive, including Granada, Seville, Malaga and Gibraltar. We would certainly stay here again. |
