Situated in a sought after urbanisation in Caleta de Velez, this modern Apartment and Studio (3 BEDROOMS in total) is an excellent choice for your holiday, being only a few minutes walk to the marina, local shops, bars, restaurants, and the beach, and about 3 minutes drive to Baviera golf course.
The Apartment includes 2 bedrooms one with superking size bed and built-in wardrobe, the other with two single beds, en suite shower room and built-in wardrobe, a kitchen with fridge, compact oven with grill and chicken rotisserie, hob and micowave, second shower room, and a spacious openplan lounge dining room with 2 sofas, TV, DVD, and dining table with 4 chairs.
The Studio (which has separate access, and ideal for grandparents or families wishing to holiday together), sleeps 2, it has a double bed, wardrobes, en suite shower room, kitchen area with fridge, hob, and microwave, and a dining table for 2. It has its own balcony with fabulous views with table and chairs for 2 and a BBQ.
Ouside the apartment is a swimming pool (heated by Solar), with BBQ and sheltered seating area, and sun loungers, with fabulous views to the bay and mountains. The pool is securely sectioned off from children.
Both the Apartment and Studio are part of a large family home, however both are self contained and both have separate access.

Car advised for those wishing to sightsee the surrounding area, but not essential as there is a good bus service, and local amenties are within walking distance.
For those not wishing to hire a car, there is a good bus service from Malaga airport (see 'how to get there' section), taxis can be taken from the airport, or alternative airport transfers may be arranged - please ask for details.

The Andalucia region
The best climate in Europe, with lots of sunshine all year round - over 300 days of sunshine a year. The climate is mild and equable, the mean annual temperature being about 19 °C (66 °F).
The inner city of Málaga is just behind the harbour. The quarters of El Perchel, La Trinidad and Lagunillas surround this centre, with lovely historic buildings, castle, and Picasso Museum in the old part of Málaga, with lots of tapas bars, restaurants and shops, this city is well worth a visit.
Nerja is accessible by bus, or 15 minutes by car, with the famous El Balcon, narrow streets, restaurants, bars and lots of nightlife.
Our villa is centrally positioned for exploring Andalucia, Cadiz, Gibraltar, Seville, Marbella, Ronda, Granada, Sierra Nevada, and Almeria are all within a 2-3 hour drive.
Caleta De Velez
Caleta de Velez is on the east of the Costa Del Sol. It is a pretty fishing town only 30 kilometres from Malaga with superb beaches. It is next to the towns of Torre del Mar, and Velez Malaga, these remain a very Spanish area where the spanish way of life exists. A promenade runs along the Mediterranean coastline from the marina at Caleta to the end of Torre del Mar and is a pleasant walk, passing a great selection of cafes, bars and restaurants, and childrens play areas. During the summer months there are market stalls, children's fun fairs and local open-air entertainment. Sun lounges and parasols are available for hire on many parts of the beach.
There is an impressive marina, a large and colourful Saturday morning street market and the 18-hole Baviera golf course is close by.
Caleta means 'Bay' in Spanish and the name of this town literally means The Bay of Velez-Malaga. Velez-Malaga is the historic capital of the area with a traditional town centre, theatre, central hospital, the water park plus the large El Ingenio shopping mall with shops (such as Mango, Zara, Springfield, New Yorker etc) and restaurants, is just a kilometre away. Caleta is unique in having a village atmosphere with all amenities on hand, you can stroll along the lovely promenade, lined with palm trees and nesting green parrots, to the lively adjacent resort of Torre del Mar, and it is a two minute drive to the Mediterranean Motorway which connects east to west and north to south.
The local full 18 hole golf course is Baviera Golf. 3 minutes drive to the club house (discount available) visit: www.bavieragolf.com for details. Other golf courses are available within a 20 km radius.
There are many local banks, shops, bakery's, chemist, newsagents, and restaurants/bars in Caleta.
Everyday of the week there is a market locally, except Sundays, in different villages, on Saturday the market is in Caleta.
Local activites include horse riding, scuba diving, aqua park, and go karting.
There is a ski resort at Sierra Nevada in Granada which is one hour and half hours by car.
Granada's Alhambra Palace and science park are not to be missed and take about one and a half hours drive.
The Palace at Seville is another attraction not to be missed and takes about 2 hours by car.
Malaga Centre is about 25 minutes by car/about 40 minutes by frequent buses.
Gilbratar is approximately one and a half hours by car.
Malaga Airport is approximately 35 minutes by car.

Thank you for taking the time to make a review for our Apartment, you have made some very useful comments for future guests, thank you for that. Your comment about the second bedroom we think is unjustified, we have had lots of 'couple's' sharing the apartment and they have always been delighted with both bedrooms, the second bedroom is certainly not an alcove, it is a good size, and unusual, albeit the bed area has a low ceiling – which is clearly shown on the photographs. We are disappointed that you didn't report the problem with the showers – had you have done so we could have rectified it – we only had to clean out the filters which sometimes get blocked with 'calc'. We are pleased though that you enjoyed your stay overall.

Thank you for taking the time to make your review of our apartment and studio. We are sorry that you had niggly glitches which you didn't take the opportunity to report whilst you were here so that we could rectify any problem, particularly about cockroaches – no one has reported a problem with cockroaches previously inside the apartment so we would not have known that you had a problem. The coffee should have been replaced, and jam is not included in a welcome pack unless requested so that should not have been left in the apartment, I neglected to check this before your arrival so we apologise for that. The welcome pack is a gesture, and we thought that one bottle of wine, a litre bottle of beer, and one loaf of bread was ample for two adults and two teenagers so that you didn't have to rush out to the shops on arrival, the bacon and the butter (which was not cheap) is the same as we use ourselves and so we thought perfectly adequate. We are sorry that you were not impressed by our choices.

great apartment, big pool, bbq outside very well equiped. Caleta is a quiet resort but Torre is a short drive or 20min walk along the front. Lots of beach bars and restaurants and all very good and reasonable, especially fresh fish. Not much night life. The apartment has a fantastic view because it is on a hill, so there is an uphill walk to get there, but car parking around Caleta is easy. Good supermarkets within short drive (Aldi/Lidl.Supermarcardo) Had a great time, Sue and Mark are very helpful and around quite a lot as they live there.

"Great value, simple and clean, definitely would go back"
We are just back from our trip here with our 3 young kid and had a wonderful stay with Sue and Mark. They have the right balance of being available for anything you need while leaving you in peace to enjoy your stay. We were very impressed with the standard of the accommodation and facilities and the little touches, like the generous welcome pack of food and drink, made us feel right at home. The location is great and felt more authentically Spanish than a lot of other places on the coast. We had a really great stay here and would warmly recommend anyone to book this accommodation. You can't beat a BBQ on the terrace watching the sun go down with a glass of Rioja in hand!

"wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!!!"
what can i say and where do i begin....we stayed here for our honeymoon for 7 nights, it was perfect, the views were spectacular, the weather was top notch and being up high the serenity was just what we wanted..the town is a large typical spanish fishing town with its own marina and fishing port, the local bars and shops were very cheap as they cater for the locals and not the tourists, theres plenty of places to get your essencials, theres mini marts and local shops and also theres a supersol or lidls within walking distance... if you like it abit lively then theres nerja only 20 mins away ( 1.85 euros on the bus ) with bars clubs and resturants dotted all over the town which is big.. or torre de mar ( smaller than nerja ) which is 15 mins walk away with its bars and resturants, we travelled to malaga on a shopping spree which is only 45 mins on the bus and cost 5.45 euros each return...sue and mark ( owners ) were very kind and friendly and nothing was to much if we needed anything...the apartment was immaculate, decorated to a very high standard, the master bedroom was large with a comfortable queensize bed and a wardrobe with amble storage for two, the living room was very nice and roomy with plenty of space, the bathroom was well lit and has a great multi-jet powershower with faultless decor...kitchen was just what we wanted, didnt use it much for cooking ( only at breakfast time ) as we made good use of the bbq on the patio area...the second room was beautifully designed and decorated, id say it has a moroccan feel to it and it has a walk in wardrobe it also has its own bathroom with shower, all beautifully decorated (no expence spared ) the pool was a god send as temps reached 84 with sun on the pool and terrace area till 7pm which has a stone bbq and gas bbq with able room under a shaded pergola, it is great to dine alfresco with spectacular views over the mountains and the sea to the left...overall i would give this apartment 10/10, we booked up for 10 days next sept before we went as we didnt want to get home and miss the chance to experience it again next year..thank you sue and mark ( not forgetting my new mate muttley ) for a fantastic stay. ps....check out the eclipse resturant on the prom, fantastic food service and not expensive ( fillet of sole with salad n chips - spanish omlet and salad n chips 2 pints for me 2 halves for my wife and complementary jaigermeister shots.....26 euros )

"Friendly people, well-presented accommodation"
The accommodation was beautifully decorated and well-presented, the family were friendly and helpful, there was a welcome pack awaiting'. The location was ideal for walking down to the beach/shops/bars/restaurants and within easy reach of pretty villages and quiet beaches along the eastern end of the Costa del Sol. The appartment had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - plenty of room for 4 and the kitchen was well-equipped. There were plenty of sunbeds and the pool was just outside the door with views over the bay. It might be worth noting for anyone with walking difficulties, there are many steps from the road to the appartment. Excellent value for money.
