About the home

This luxury apartment is perfect for a truly relaxing getaway. It has a large private swimming pool for the sole use of the apartment and is in a great location only minutes from restaurants, bars & supermarkets so a car isn't necessary unless you wish to go off exploring the island. There are wonderful sandy beaches within easy walking distance and the local harbour provides great water sports including jetski hire, snorkelling and scuba diving.

The centre of Caleta is a 10 minutes walk & has a good choice of restaurants, bars & more shops. The Championship Golf Course is also only a 5 minute drive away. The spacious apartment has 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, comfortable lounge and kitchen.

At the rear of the apartment next to the pool there is a secluded patio with BBQ, sun loungers, table/chairs, ideal for al fresco dining or a perfect place to get a great tan.

There are two bedrooms, 1 double and one with twin beds both are fitted with Canarian style furniture.
Bathrooms:
There is a large bathroom with a shower cubicle. The washing machine is located here and an iron, ironing board and hairdryer are also provided.
Kitchen:
The kitchen is fully equipped with full oven ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, and the usual compliment of crockery and utensils. There is also a coffee maker and sandwich toaster.
Living Rooms:
This lovely spacious apartment has been tastefully furnished with comfort in mind, the lounge has two leather settees, a coffee table wall unit with a TV, video, DVD and a CD/mini-system, there is also cable TV. There is a dining table and 4 chairs also. There is also a PS2 with some games.
Cleaning:
towels/linen/maid service: Bed linen and towels are provided and there is a weekly changeover service where all linen is changed.
We are happy to supply beach towels if required to help save on luggage space.

At the rear of the apartment next to the pool there is a secluded patio with BBQ, sun-loungers, table and chairs, ideal for alfresco dining or a great place for sun worshippers.
The swimming pool is 7.5m long and 3.5m wide and has a graded depth from 1 metre to 1.5. There is also a heated pool-side shower.

We pride ourselves in offering a very personal service. We manage and maintain our own properties so you won't be dealing with a 3rd party at any point. We live in Caleta and therefore if you need help during your stay or there is a problem of any kind it can be dealt with quickly and efficiently.

The Fuerteventura region

Fuerteventura is famous for its wide variety of water sports such as Wind surfing, scuba diving, fishing, snorkeling and kite boarding. You can also participate in camel rides, horse riding and buggy rides throughout the island and marvel at the spectacular landscape.
The island is also famous for its golden sandy beaches and the seclusion and tranquillity cannot be equalled by any other island. It is the longest and second largest of the Canary Islands and from the northern town of Corralejo you can take a 15 min Ferry ride to Lanzarote.Fuerteventura is about 90 kms from the west coast of Africa, and is the second largest of the Canary Islands.
The island has the best climate of all the Canary Islands with nearly 3000 hours of sunshine despite this fact and that it has some of the most stunning scenery to be found in all the Canaries, it remains one of the least visited islands. Therefore the island is very much less developed, and has miles of beautiful white un-crowded beaches.
The lack of visitors ensures that those who want to get off the beaten track can easily find peace and tranquillity on the many deserted beaches and other areas of stunning natural beauty.

The Caleta de Fuste area

Caleta's beach is a 10 minute walk away and was carefully constructed to avoid currents and is in the shape of a horse shoe. This ensures it is perfectly safe for children of all ages. Those wanting to be a little more adventurous can go diving, hire jet skis or learn to windsurf at the water centre on the beach. The harbour is home to many yachts, catamarans and boats which provide local trips as well as providing a beautiful backdrop in the evenings.
Caleta de Fuste is the closest town and has a wide variety of high quality restaurants, bars and family activities. Every Saturday morning there is an African market on the main street selling a variety of African Souvenirs and trinkets rich in African culture. A modern commercial centre, the Atlantico Centre, is nearby and includes boutiques, more restaurants, a supermarket, a multiplex cinema, and bowling alley.

The Capital Puerto Del Rossario is approx 20 mins north of Caleta. There is a local bus service, which runs every 30 minutes and provides air conditioned coaches for the trip. At 1 Euro it is an extremely cheap and easy way to get around. Corelejo to the north has the world famous sand dunes along with Baku water park these are 45 mins drive away. To the south there is La Lajita Oasis Park Zoo and the endless beaches of Costa Calma and Jandia these are also about 45 mins drive.

EASYJET ARE NOW FLYING NEW LOW COST ROUTES TO FUERTEVENTURA FROM LIVERPOOL AND GATWICK AIRPORT.
FROM OCTOBER 2009 AER LINGUS WILL BE OPERATING FROM DUBLIN.

There are a number of cheaper airlines that are now operating to the island. The main UK companies are Thomsonfly, First Choice, MyTravel and Flyglobespan.
Some of the European airlines that operate from Fuerteventura Airport include:Air Berlin, Air Europe, Air Holland, Air Italy, Air Luxor, Air Malta, Austrian Airlines, Binter Canarias, Czech Airlines, Eurofly, Finnair, Hamburg International, Hapagfly, Iberia, Luxair, Macedonian Airlines, Nordic Airlines, Novair, and Scandinavian Airlines. You have a wide range of departure points to choose from as scheduled and charter flights to Fuerteventura can be booked from most of the UK and Ireland.

A car isn’t essential, but if you want to there are plebnty of good companies to choose from.

We will supply a detailed map if you are hiring a car.

The minimum age for driving in Spain (provided you hold a full UK license) is 18 for a car and a motorcycle over 75cc. If you have still got the old style green license you might find the police do not recognize them, so it is advisable to either get it updated or carry an International Driving Permit as well.

TAXIS:

You will find the taxi rank right in front of you as you come out of the main arrivals area from the airport terminal building, just after you have collected your cases. The Fare to Caleta should be between €10 - €14 depending on time of day.
PLEASE NOTE: The taxis can usually only carry up to 4 people and luggage.

Alternatively we can help arrange transport with a local couple to collect you from the airport and transfer you to theproperty to help settle you in.

BUSES:

When you come out of the Arrivals Hall the bus stop is to the left of the building. There are two main bus routes: the number 3 runs every 30 minutes from Puerto del Rosario to Caleta de Fuste via the airport: and the number 10 is hourly and again operates from Puerto del Rosario to the airport then to Caleta de Fuste and on to Morro Jable.

“Totally Chilled Out” A big thank you to Jerry & Clare for making our stay most welcome everything we needed from a BBQ to a Swimming Pool also sun loungers & wi-fi to relax by the Pool. A supermarket and a few restaurants also a weekly market all within a 100 mtrs. A 10 min drive from the airport by hire car or taxi. Town and beach is approx 10 - 15 mins walk. Once again cheers for the use of your beautiful holiday home p.s. glad you enjoyed the Tuna I caught our was great on the BBQ

“Fab!” Just back for a two week break,first week with my daughter and the second my husband joined us.We totally loved his apartment,have visited Caleta five times in the last couple of years and have found the standard of accommodation high.This one was our favourite,loved the location,friendly ( but no intrusive )neighbours,handy for beaches shops,bus stop and the market.Felt very much at home here from the day we arrived and safe as I was on my own with my daughter for the first week.Having your own pool was luxury and private outdoor space was heaven.I would totally recommend this apartment as exceptional value for money,the property managers are friendly and very helpful.We actually tried to book for the summer but weren't quick enough,but can see why this we would be booked well in advance and we were lucky enough to get booked in for Easter.We will defo be back !

“Just what the Nurse ordered.....” Just got back from a weeks stay and missing it already. My wife and I have had a tough year and we needed to recharge the batteries and catch up on sleep. The apartment has everything you could possibly want, and was spotlessly clean for our arrival. Jerry very kindly picked us up from the airport which was a very nice touch. Location-wise, couldn't be better. Up high, with a 10minute walk downtown. After a good filling evening meal though, my lazy side won out and the 3 minute taxi ride at Euros 2.30 was a blessing. The pool was much appreciated as the temp during our stay hit 27degs. The apartment is well equipped with all the usual cooking aids, and the beds were comfortable. The provision of pool towels was much appreciated and provided room in the case for other bits & pieces. It makes a nice change to meet owners who seem genuinely concerned for their clientele and were keen to make sure we had a great break. The pre-booking communication was excellent and for Clare's input we are much appreciative. Would we go back; most definitely, particularly for the peace & quite outside of school holidays. Thanks for a terrific holiday and a much needed rest. Life needs little gems like this and we found one.

“excellent,holiday,accomodation” we rented the apartment caleta,for one week.its a lovely clean and very homely apartment,with its own private pool.ita had all you need for a home from home feel.kitchen well equiped,everything you need oven cooker microwave toaste etc,all spotless.the pool area is lovely with sun loungers large outside table and chairs for outside dining,all pool toys lilos etc,bbq. the apartment is in a really good posistion for beach and all restaraunts, cafes,tapas. one night we had a very bad storm, and first thing the morning after jerry came to check all was ok and to clean the pool,he came without having to ring and ask for someone to clean the pool.clare and jerry the owners were very friendly helpful, and could not do enough for us.we had originally booked into fuerteventura beach club,which was appalling, so they accomodated us at a moments notice , after someone had just checked out. lucky for us they had a week gap before next guests were due. we had rented a car but really not needed, everything was close to apartment. would we go again DEFO. but next time for longer. elaine.pressall. “cant wait to go back” Clare and Jerry were very friendly and welcoming the apartment was very clean and comfortable everything we needed was there The pool was wonderful bigger than I thought it would be,it was a little sun trap The local shops and bars were within easy reach also the little market on the Saturday. “loved every minute of our stay” We just came back yesterday and we wish we were still there chilling by the pool. The apartment was great and had everything you would need and more. The pool was a great bonus. As it was our first time in calete de fuste we didnt know what to expect it was so easy to get around.The shoping center which is less than a five minute walk from the apartment has a large supermarket which sells everything you need plenty of res and bars to enjoy a cool drink or two.We would recomend the range bar which does lovely meals breckfast is great and also chaplins bar and chippie for dinner Thank you Claire and Jerry for a great holiday

“absolutely fantastic” Thank you Claire for the best holiday we have ever had,the apartment was fantastic everything you could ever want and more.We have always been all inclusive but never again. Our grandaughter loved the pool as did we all.We are missing it allready, so nice to do your own thing. everything was so clean and tidy a real home from home aboslutely loved it. Anyone looking for a great holiday in a great location look no further book caletta apartment.

“Lovely, spacious apartment, excellent location.” In excellent Location - quite area but only a short walk to bars, restaurants and approx 10 mins to the beach. Apartment is of a very high standard, plenty of room and very clean. The pool was a lot larger than we expected - we spent a lot of time either in the pool or sunbathing around the pool. We were able to stay on, on our last day until 4pm when we were due to leave for the airport, which was great. Clare and Jerry are both very nice people, it was a pleasure to meet them. “best holiday ever! loved every minute !!” Jerry & claire were fantastic from day 1. apartment is beautiful, has everything you need for a fantastic stay, kettle, fridge, washing machine, microwave even supllied hairdryer, straighteners & beach towells for 4 of us. so comfortable, it felt like home (just with lovely weather) the pool is a great size, had 4 people in there with inflateables and still plenty of room (does get dirty quick with sun tan oil though) but Jerry does come round oncer a week to clean which is more than ample. the garden area in general is a good size, seating for 8 if needed and 4 sunbeds. definitely goingf back, just a case of when. location is also good,m suopermarket at the end of the road, along with a few great pubs, restaurants and pool tables. the town is prob an 8 minute walk, all the shops, bars, carfes restarants etc are there, beach 2 minutes further, great excursions (safari park, swimming with sea-lions, water park) great location, perfect villa. jerry even does the transfers and shows you around. could not ask for more. thankyou xx Response: Thank you so much for your great feed back, it's very kind of you to take the time to write a review. “home from home in the sun” we have stayed in many apartments/villas over the years and it's very rare you get what it says on the tin, from start to finish everything was spot on. A large two bedroom apartment (more like a house) with a real homely feel, every room is large, well stocked kitchen ,lounge with all mod cons, lovely bathroom, really comfy beds and the private rooftop terrace (massive). It's only a two minute walk to montecastillo centre a mixture of pubs and food outlets but in a quite area not rowdy.The centre of caleta is only a ten minute stroll away, there's plenty written about this lovely town so I won't bore you.
