About the home

Beautifully appointed new villa, spacious enough to easily cater for families/parties of 8 with games such as an outdoor pool table, giant chess, and Connect 4. A bright and airy feel, with high ceilings, a large family lounge and separate dining room. The air-conditioning is remote controlled separately for each bedroom, so suiting everyone! Fans are used in the lounge area as there are two sliding patio doorways and windows, so plenty of fresh cooling air.

The terrace and patio areas again give the feeling of space and look directly over the 5th green of Fuerteventura Golf Course. There are two 'al fresco' seating areas and plenty of sunbathing space. A fixed sunbathing parasol has been positioned to allow a shady but relaxing spot, when required. A 'cosy' Cabana with comfortable seating allows a spot for relaxing and keeping out of the sun. When not utilising the extensive patio areas, guests may relax and watch Sky TV (Not BBC/ITV), DVDs, play on the PS3 or use the Internet. We have free wifi and the connection to the Internet via 'CanaryNet' is approx 15 euros per week. We also have a portable ipod station.

The villa has a 'strictly no smoking inside' policy but smokers are invited to take full advantage of the outside terrace and patio areas. The Atlantico foreshore with beautifully kept lagoon beaches and several top class hotels is just a ten minute stroll away.

En-suite bathroom in master bedroom, with jacuzzi bath/shower over, wc, bidet and his n' hers marble vanity sinks.

Main bathroom has large walk in shower, wc and single marble vanity sink. All crockery and glass ware provided including an extensive range of plastic ware for use pool side and for the BBQ.

Lounge with large, leather corner sofa, two seater and a single bucket chair. Flat screen TV with Sky satellite (not BBC, ITV), DVD player, PS3 and Wi Fi connection. Bring your laptop, connect via password and purchase net time approx 20 euros per week.

There is a telephone entry system at the front gate. There is a 4' high wall to the front and all boundaries are fenced and screened.

The Fuerteventura region

Fuerteventura is to my mind the best-kept secret of the Canary Islands. There are golden beaches that literally stretch for miles as well as rocky coves for exploring. You as the visitor decide the type of holiday you want.........relaxing, taking in the beaches, sun and quiet nature of the island or energetic, finding the wind kiting bays or wind surfing stretches of coastline.

The wind that is anything from a slight breeze to a full and constant wind allows you to breathe and fully enjoy the sunshine. If the breeze ever drops, you feel the full strength of the sun and if you are visiting the dunes to the north of the island at the time, you would seriously be forgiven for thinking that you were in the middle of the Sahara desert.

The whole island is picturesque, quite dramatically different to the scenery of northern Europe but due to investment in tourism, you are never too far from well equipped and well presented amenities. Everything is understated on the island, low rise new developments and rustic unaltered protected buildings & towns scattered throughout the interior.

The Caleta de Fuste / Fuerteventura Golf area

Our area around Fuerteventura Golf Resort is a marvellous balance of attractive scenery, quiet and relaxed atmosphere but within walking distance of entertainment, varied dining choices and sporting activities.

Our immediate facilities are in The Atlantico Centre which remains very 'Spanish', attracting local people to the very good supermarket, cinema and shops. The lagoon beaches here are sheltered from strong currents and kept beautifully clean. Literally only 5/10mins walk from the villa it is a favourite place to spend time.

A further 10 minute walk on from here would take you into Caleta De Fuste itself. This has an enormous sweeping, golden sand bay & marina with watersports and the main town's facilites just off the beach. This area caters for both tourists and the local people with all choices of dining experience. Anything from visiting the Tapas & authentic cuisine restaurants in the late evening, really feeling like a 'local' to following your football team's progress in a fun sports bar environment.

Flights from most major airports. Ryanair currently fly in several times a week at very low cost (ex Xmas & school holiday periods). Cicar car hire is very reliable and their office opens into the luggage reclaim area. Pre~booking on their easy to use website ensures a no nonsense, easy and quick 'getaway'!

“Fantastic villa everything a family could need” We stayed at the villa Casa Piedra arriving on Boxing Day 2012, myself with my wife, three children and my parents. The villa is absolutely stunning, we found everything there any family could ever need, big spacious living areas, well equipped modern kitchen, spacious comfortable bedrooms, full Sky Sports tv which is a nice touch for viewing favourite sporting events. Outside the villa is wonderful, a lovely large heated pool that Corinne (the owner) kindly increased in temperature to 30 degrees at no extra cost for us, hot tub is another lovely extra. Large patio and outside eating areas overlooking the golf course. Pool table and giant chess was good for the kiddies. The local spa shop had everything in stock including charcoal for the many BBQs that we had. We walked to the shop and took a taxi back (only €3) WIFI is very good and cheap €15, essential addition to any holiday. Corrine was extremely helpful and gave us the personal feeling in answering all our questions both prior to departure and whilst we were there. All in all a very nice villa and we look forward to visiting again. The Sharpe family.

“Lovely Villa With All The Trappings Of Home” We have just had a wonderful week at the Casa Piedra Villa with our Son Daughter inlaw new baby and her parents and family...what a wonderful stay we all had and can highly reccomend this beautiful Villa . The Villa is located within site of the stunning golf course so lashings of green grass to enjoy however not to many golfers in site due im sure to the hot weather we enjoyed. We however were able to cool down in the generous size pool and enjoy all the outdoor amenites within the villa area including games area, pool, jacuzzi and chilll areas to suit all types of sun lovers sadly we only had a week here ......wished we had all had another week!! well done to our son for discovering this little gem in an oasis of green and as Arnie says in the Terminator movies "We'll be back"

“Total Bliss, Home from home.” Ive been dying to write a review about this villa. This is my second trip here this time with my family including my young son. It has something for everyone, Corrinne the owner is brilliant to deal with very helpful and lovely lady. The villa management team are great. It's within striking distace of all the facilities you need and is fantastically equipped with something for everyone. We all loved it and will definately be making Casa Piedra somewhere we visit regularly.
