The property, which stands in an elevated position and benefits from panoramic sea views, is on two levels, connected by an external (covered) staircase. There are two, large patios, one on the lower level at the back of the house, overlooking the swimming pool, and the other at ground floor level at the front of the house, where the hot tub is situated. There is also a roof-top terrace with panoramic sea views.

GROUND FLOOR: The dining room/sitting room/kitchen is open plan. There is a glass-topped dining table with six chairs, a two-seater settee and two easy chairs. There is a CD/mini system and iPod speaker deck. The room is divided from the kitchen by a breakfast bar.

The kitchen is equipped with a four-ring ceramic hob, extractor fan, full oven with grill, microwave cooker, 6' fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee maker and toaster.

Bedroom 1: double bed, fitted wardrobes, ceiling fan, hair dryer.

Bedroom 2: twin beds, fitted wardrobes, ceiling fan, overlooking the pool, sea views.

Bathroom 1: These two bedrooms share a bathroom with bath/shower over, toilet and hand washbasin.

LOWER GROUND FLOOR (Pool Level): The lounge is on the lower level and has two leather settees (a three-seater and a two-seater), satellite TV and video and DVD players.

Bedroom 3: twin beds + small bed suitable for a child, fitted wardrobes, ceiling fan, en-suite bathroom

Bedroom 4: double bed, fitted wardrobes, ceiling fan, hair dryer, breakfast patio

Bathroom 2: Large, en-suite bathroom to Bedroom 3 (there is also access from the lounge to this bathroom) with bath/shower over, toilet, bidet and hand washbasin. The washing machine is located here and an iron and ironing board are also provided.

All the living rooms and bedrooms have ceiling fans. Two portable, electric radiators are also available. There are two safes for the protection of valuables.

The following are provided free of charge: welcome pack and beach towels. A cot and high chair are available, if required (no charge). Please provide your own cot linen.

Guests are requested not to smoke inside the house but are welcome to do so outside.

The front gate opens onto a large terrace (further details below). From here, steps lead to the front door and a small, covered patio with drinks tables and chairs.

The swimming pool, with pool-side shower, is accessed from the lounge and is approximately 6.28m (20'7") long, 3.10m (10'2") wide with a single depth of 1.36 metres (4'5"). Electric pool heating is available at an additional cost (non-discretionary between the 1st November and the 30th April). There is a spacious poolside sunbathing terrace with sunloungers, built-in barbecue and table and chairs. There is also the added convenience of an outside fridge.

The front of the villa catches the late afternoon and evening sun and, to take maximum benefit of this, there is a further, large terrace. The 5 person hot tub is located here together with a further built-in barbecue, wooden dining table and seating for up to 8. What better way to end your day than with a relaxing hot tub followed by a leisurely BBQ?

A clothes rack and clothes line are also provided.

It is a 12 mins walk to the beach (1 kilometre). The gently shelving beach and calm, shallow waters of the bay make this a popular choice with families. Water sports enthusiasts are also well catered for and facilities include windsurfing, scuba-diving and sailing.

The situation of Caleta de Fuste, 8km (5 miles) south of the airport, makes the resort susceptible to some aircraft noise during the day (there is no night-time flying).

Shops, supermarkets and restaurants are within 2-10 mins walking time. Car hire is not essential at this location.

Caleta de Fuste, also known as El Castillo, is a modern, purpose-built resort with shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. The main shopping area is traffic-free and here you will find boutiques and gift shops as well as bars and restaurants. There is a wide variety of places to eat and most tastes are catered for. The resort is well maintained with nicely planted public areas which are kept litter-free.

The Fuerteventura region

Fuerteventura, about 90 kms from the coast of Africa, is the second largest of the Canary Islands (Tenerife being the biggest). In spite of the fact that it is twice the size of Lanzarote, its nearest neighbour, it is less developed, with miles of uncrowded beaches of white sand.

Most visitors first view of this volcanic island is on landing at the modern airport. The impression is of a barren, almost lunar-like landscape. However, first impressions can be deceptive and if you are prepared to explore and observe, you will discover an island of bizarre natural beauty. Arid mountains and spectacular lava plains, displaying subtle hues of ocher, yellow, red, brown and black, contrast with picturesque, white villages and the refreshing greenness of swaying palm groves. The coastline is no less dramatic. In some places, thundering waves crash onto glistening, black, volcanic rocks while, in others, calm lagoons of intense blue are edged by beaches of blindingly white sand and mountainous dunes.

Those who are interested in the culture and history of the island will enjoy the peaceful remoteness of the ancient capital of Betancuria (named after the island's conqueror, Jean de Bethencourt). Here you will find the church of Santa Maria, its external simplicity belaying the beauty of its baroque interior. Discover the exotic, palm-filled, river valley that gives its name to the village of Vega de Rio Palmas and wonder at the "Aztec", stone-carved doorway of the church in the village of Pajara.

When it comes to spending time on the beach, Fuerteventura has the best climate of all the Canary Islands with an annual average of 2,938 hours of sunshine (66% of the total number possible).

Caleta de Fuste

Caleta de Fuste, also known as El Castillo, is a modern, purpose-built resort with shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. There is also large, modern shopping centre, a little way out of town, with a cinema, a bowling alley and restaurants with sea views.

The castle (martello tower) that gives El Castillo its name was built in 1743 by a military engineer, Claudio de Lisne, and is situated in the busy harbour area.

Because the beach is safe and the waters of the bay are calm and shallow Caleta is a popular choice with families. Water sports enthusiasts are also well catered for and facilities include windsurfing, scuba-diving and sailing. Golfers can enjoy two golf courses close by (one of which has hosted the Spanish Open).

"Amazing Villa - ideal for families and great location"

Our first trip to the Island and Casa Miramar and it was more than I expected. The villa has everything a family could need on their holiday and much more. The bath and beach towels both being provided was extremely helpful, especially with a small child. The walk to the centre of town takes around 5 - 10 minutes, although there is a few small inclines on the way, it was great for the pushchair and had no problems with this. Our 1 year old loved the pool and outside are downstairs. We stayed in the downstairs bedroom and would mention to others whom have a small baby that the cooler bedroom is upstairs on the entrance level as the sun sets at the front of the house (this is where the downstairs bedroom patio doors are) this wasn't a problem for us though as each room has a fan to keep cool during the night time. The local supermarket is a two minute walk which was handy for the ice cream run. All in all we loved this villa and will be returning again soon. Very good value for money with the facilities you are given as Casa Miramar. The only small issue was we couldn't access the key immediately but we called the management company and this was resolved within a couple of minutes.

The villa is beautiful and very spacious. We stayed as two families with 3 young boys & a baby. Cot, high chair & bouncy chair were all available inside the villa which made it very easy to have our 4… More

"only one thing to say " brilliant""

second time we stayed here,great place to stay not far from airport, quiet place no late night noise. nice walk to beach 15mins slow walk, all restaurants we tried were well up to standard , fado rock and Aberdeen Angus restaurants were top notch . shops at end of street may be 2 mins walk same as nearest bars .pool and hot tub just what needed when warm, roof great for getting a tan. WE WILL BE BACK ...... asap

"superbe villa , idéal en famille"

La villa était conforme à ce que nous attendions. Nous étions 6 adultes et 3 enfants (7 ans, 3ans 1/2 et 10 mois) La configuration de la villa est idéale pour plusieurs couples: 2 chambres en haut, 2 chambres en bas, deux salles de bain....bref, tous ensemble mais chacun chez soi!
Les deux seuls petits bémols sont pour la piscine (pas de système d'alarme, avecc des petits c'est un peu stressant) et la cuisine un peu petite, mais bon, il y a deux barbecue et on mange suovent dehors!
Sinon c'était très propre, il y avait plein de jouets de plage pour les enfants, et les serviettes de plage et de douche incluses; c'est vraient bien quand on voyage avec ryanair!
La situation idéale aussi: supermarché à 5 minutes, centre ville et plage à 10 minutes de marche (on y allait à pied avec les enfants).
