Home description

Villa Cora is a delightful new Canarian country villa on a large 10,000m2 estate set near the traditional, picturesque village of Triquivijate. It is a charming quiet and peaceful location and is within walking distance of restaurants, bars and shops in Triquivijate. The villa is only a short drive from the fabulous sandy beaches and family resort of Caleta de Fuste.

The villa benefits from its own large free form shaped private pool, and has a separate shallow children`s pool which is perfect for the children. Also there is a large waterfall feature which transposes a relaxing atmosphere as the water runs down the volcanic crafted stones to the water in the main pool.

It also offers a championship full size Private Tennis Court, and mountain bikes are also available to explore the local countryside. Small children are cared for too; they have their own Play House and play area integrated into the outside space, so everyone is catered for.
The villa is ideally suitable for couples and families who want executive standards, all amenities and privacy. Villa Cora offers excellent accommodation for a relaxing holiday.

The Fuerteventura region

Fuerteventura is simply a wonderful place, offering enormous sand dunes, beautiful vast white beaches and a sub-tropical climate. The island attracts sports enthusiasts from all over the world for its excellent windsurfing, surfing, diving and golf.

Villa Cora is located near the peaceful Canarian village of Triquivijate. Triquivijate is centrally located in the island which makes it a perfect base for exploring.

There is a wonderful Equestrian centre for Horse riding, and a Bird Sanctuary {ideal for bird watchers} all just 5 min walk from Villa Cora.

Triquivijate offers a well stocked grocery shop, 3 bars and 3 family friendly restaurants.

The prestigious resort of Caleta de Fuste is only a 10 min drive, offering 2 excellent 18 hole Golf Courses.
The resort of Caleta de Fuste offers a wide range of shops, bars and restaurants. It has a large, shallow beach, perfect for children and a picturesque marina with a selection of excellent water excursions.

The Atlantico Commercial Centre, which is located at the entrance to Fuerteventura Golf Resort, is home to a Bi-Lingual Cinema, Bowling Alley, Amusement Arcade, Sol Bank, Newsagents, Hair Salon and several other Boutiques, Shops, Bars and Restaurants and is just a 15 minute drive from Villa Cora. The large Eurospar housed within the Atlantico Centre is sure to cater for all your grocery requirements.

The 4 Star Elba Sara Hotel, 5 Star Sheraton Hotel and the newly opened 4 Star Elba Carlota Hotel are all located adjacent to the Atlantico Centre. The 5 Star Elba Palace Hotel is located on the golf course and houses the Clubhouse. A McDonalds Restaurant and Petrol Station are also located at the entrance to the Golf Resort.
The newly opened Los Rotondas Shopping Centre in Puerto del Rosario is the ultimate shopping experience and well worth a visit.

Both the Baku Water Park (located in Corralejo / north) and the Oasis Park Zoo (located in La Lajita / south) provide a great day out. It is also possible to explore the nearby island of Lanzarote by taking a ferry from Corralejo.

2. La Cruzada Bar & Restaurant – Newly opened, in the centre of the village of Triquivijate. Very friendly management, very good traditional Spanish cuisine. Reasonably priced.

3. El Jardin - Family run restaurant with superb outside terrace, offering a range of top quality, fresh local cuisine - 0034 680 887226. It is located in the centre of the village.

4. Malpaise Restaurant, Triquivijate {Pepe`s Bar} – Located in the centre of Triquivijate. Lively local bar also serves food.

Shops
1. There is one good well stocked mini supermarket in the village. Here you can buy all the basic food escentials / wine / beer, and they also sell some household items.

1. Culture Centre - There is a cultural centre, which offers a range of activities.

2. Betancuria Museum (Betancuria):
Open Tue-Sat, 10.00-17.00 - Sun, 11.00-14.00
This former Capital was founded by Norman conqueror Jean de Bethancourt in 1405. A short drive out of town is the restaurant 'Mirador Moro Velosa' which is situated on Tegu mountain and commands spectacular views of the north of the island.

There are two magnificent buildings in the town that remind us of the age old tradition of the powerful Colonels.

Antigua is one of the oldest villages on the island, and was briefly the Capital in 1812 and 1835. An idyllic little village and well worth a visit.

Deposit required for booking

• A 30% non-refundable booking deposit is payable within 5 working days to secure your booking

• The balance is to be paid no later than 6 weeks prior to departure.

Refundable damages deposit

A damages deposit of {£ 250 Pounds or € 300 Euros} in cash is required on arrival, and will be returned after inspection on departure.

Change over day

Changeover days are normally Wed or Sat.
The villa will be available from 3.00pm on the day of your arrival and we request that you vacate by 10.00am on the day of your departure.
We will endeavour to try and accommodate all guests on arrival/departure times.

Cleaning

The villa is cleaned prior to arrival and linen/bath towels provided.
We recommend guests provide their own beach towels. After the 1st week the villa will be cleaned, and the linen and towels replaced.
Pool / garden are maintained twice weekly.

* Mountain Bicycles

We have mountain bikes available for hire with the property. We find that they are a great way to explore the island. We charge a small fee for the hire, just £ 30 Pounds per week per bicycle. This can be paid for on your final payment 6 weeks prior to departure.

* Tennis Rackets

Good quality tennis rackets are available for hire. We charge just £ 5 Pounds per racket per week. This can be paid for on your final payment 6 weeks prior to departure.

We are flexible with the changeover. We endeavour to allow guests to arrive/depart to suit their flight times; however, if this is not possible due to other bookings we adhere to the following,

"We have just returned from the Villa Cora in Fuerteventura after a 2 week stay and can highly recommend this property.
The property is located on the outskirts of a small village which provides the villa with privacy, but offers the advantages of close by local amenities and road links.

Costa Caleta is just 10-15 min`s drive away, this local beach resort boast many bars and restaurants and a great beach which provides facilities and entertainment for the whole family or adult groups (couples). T The main road network is very good on the island and the location of the villa provides an excellent base for your group to explore the attractions of Fuerteventura.
The villa itself is stunning and very large; the thoughtful layout of the accommodation provides enough personal space for couples, while still providing multiple group occupation areas, such as the large central dining room and lounge areas. This is a welcome change from some other smaller accommodation types available on the island.
The property is wrapped around a stunning free form pool with a small water fall feature, which transposes a relaxing atmosphere as the water runs down the volcanic crafted stones to the water. Small children are cared for too; they have their own small pool and play area integrated into the outside space, so everyone is catered for.
The immaculately tendered outside space is wrapped by a perimetre wall which provides adequate privacy, but still allows the visitor to enjoy the marvellous views of the surrounding rural mountain vistas.
Facilities within the villa have all been carefully considered and executed; the fitted kitchen comes with a dishwasher, microwave and full cooking and refrigeration facilities, while a separate utility room provides full laundry functions for the group. Home entertainment is supplied through Sky TV, which provides a selection of British channels to choose from. (An additional satellite is also installed for other nationalities). A DVD and VCR are also supplied and a selection of media is available for the guests to use. A quality surround sound hi-fi completes the entertainment package; this is great to play your favourite tunes while lounging around the pool!
In conclusion, there are lots more to say about this property, such as the great welcome from the owners, the personal tennis court, bar-b-q facility and separate adjoining annex accommodation, but where do you end. We would highly recommend staying at the Villa Cora.
