Villa Nicola is a large 3 bedroom Canarian style detached private luxury villa situated on the new Salinas de Antigua Golf Course situated just outside the resort of Caleta de Fuste in Fuerteventura. The villa is furnished to a very high standard throughout. Villa Nicola sleeps up to 8 people in 1 double bedroom (with en-suite bathroom) and 2 triple bedrooms. The villa is fully equipped with all facilities and has a private 9m x 4m covered swimming pool (heated in the winter months), separate 2m round children's pool and a sunbathing area with sunbeds, outside dining area and outside shower and barbecue. The villa has views to the sea.
The lounge has satellite TV, music system, DVD player and the master bedroom also has its own flat screen TV with Play Station 2. Free wi-fi access is provided.
The villa is a few minutes walk away from the 18 hole Salinas De Antigua Golf Club House where golf clubs and equipment can be hired and where there is a restaurant and bar. It is also a short walk to the Atlantico Centre where there is a large supermarket, bars and restaurants and a beach. The adjoining 18 hole Fuerteventura Golf Course is only a few minutes walk away meaning there are 2 excellent courses within walking distance.
Car hire is recommended to enjoy the island but is not essential. Taxis are cheap and readily available.

The Fuerteventura region
Fuerteventura is situated approximately 65km from the coast of North Africa. It is one of the Canary Islands and is an approximately 4 hr flight from the UK. It benefits from year round sunshine with temperatures ranging from approximately 21- 27 degrees throughout the year.
Fuerteventura has fabulous white beaches, warm waters and is a paradise for water sports lovers. There are more than 150 beaches and has a desert like landscape.
Caleta de Fuste / Salinas de Antigua Golf Course area
The town of Caleta de Fuste is situated apx 3 km from the Salinas de Antigua Golf Course and the Fuerteventura Golf Course resort. In the town of Caleta there are plenty of bars, shops and restaurants as well as a large horseshoe shaped beach. From this main beach there are boat trips, pedaloes, jet-bikes etc.
Situated close to the Salinas de Antigua golf course is a large commercial centre called the Atlantico Centre. Here there are shops, bars, restaurants and an excellent large Spar supermarket. There is also an amusement arcade, bowling and cinema. The 5 star Fuerteventua Sheraton Hotel and the 4 star Elba Sara Hotel are also within walking distance along with a large beach area with sunbeds for hire.
If you wish to travel further afield there are the amazing sand dunes and beaches near the town of Corralejo which is also the location of Fuerteventura "Baku" water park. Here there are superb watersports facilities for windsurfers, surfers and kitesurfers.
How to get there
Charter flights available from most UK airports. Flights are usually on Wednesday and Saturday but a few airlines fly on other days. Flights arrive at Fuerteventura airport which is situated approximately 15 min from the airport by car.
Ryanair fly to Fuerteventura 3 days a week from Dublin and also from Girona in Spain. Ryanair also fly from Liverpool on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Easyjet also fly from Madrid to Fuerteventura. Car hire can be booked on arrival but I recommend pre-booking in the UK. Taxis are available at the airport but there can be queues for these at peak times.

Further details indoors: The very large lounge is furnished to a high standard throughout. There are 2 large sofas, coffee table, side table, dresser unit as well as a dining table and chairs. There is satellite TV, stereo music system and DVD player. The separate kitchen is fully equipped with all facilities including washing machine, microwave, 4 ring hob and extractor, oven, large fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker etc. There is an iron and ironing board and a safe for added security.
All bedrooms have ceiling fans and fully fitted wardrobes with drawers. The master bedroom also benefits from its own flat screen TV and Playstation 2/DVD player. Patio doors lead from the master bedroom to a private sunbathing area with additional outside table and chairs.
Further details outdoors: Villa Nicola is a typically canarian style villa. It benefits from shutters on all the windows and doors ensuring the villa can be kept cool as required. There are also mosquito nets on windows and doors.
Entrance to the villa is via private gates. There is an intercom system for access to the villa. The villa is detached and situated on a large 800 square metre plot with a landscaped garden. It has its own private 9m x 4m swimming pool which is heated during the winter months and separate 2m round children's pool ideal for toddlers, outdoor shower, large sunbathing terraces and barbecue. There is also a roof terrace with views over golf course to sea. There are plenty of sunbeds as well as outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining.
Further details
A deposit of £100 is required when booking the villa with the balance being due 6 weeks prior to arrival in the villa. A refundable breakage deposit is required on arrival.

The Christmas rate of £895 is a flat rate regardless of number of people. Pool heating is included between November and April but outside these times it is an additional £75 if required.
