The Fuerteventura region
A mere 4 hours flying time from the UK brings you to Fuerteventura. It is the driest, least developed and has the longest coastline of all the Canary Islands.
The beaches are by far the best in the Canaries. The sand being blown in from the Sahara on the Kalima wind. Three thousand hours of sunshine, weather on a par with Florida ( without the hurricanes ) and a growing list of quality activities makes this the perfect year round destination.
Caleta de Fuste / Costa de Antigua area
Situated between the airport and the resort town of Caleta De Fuste our house is in the Costa Antigua area is the ideal location.
A 30 minute drive or bus journey will take you to the dunes of Corralejo, a 45 minute journey and you can enjoy the vast stretches of quiet beaches at Sotavento in the South. A pleasant 20 minute walk along the coastal pathway takes you to the resort town of Caleta de Fuste. Costa Antigua is rapidly developing into a quality area with many high quality holiday homes and a growing number or bars, coffee shops, restaurants and supermarkets.
There are plenty of hotels with family entertainment, you can also go to the cinema or bowling. Just outside Caleta there are two golf courses, you can also arrange sea fishing, scuba diving, visit the oceanarium, go on an off road buggy adventure, go on a trike tour.......there's something for everyone.

Easyjet with many connections via Madrid and soon from Liverpool and Stansted. We recommend Autoreisen for you car hire needs. Taxis are big, clean, reliable and reasonably priced. The 8km jouney from the airport isapproximately 10 Euros. There is a free bus from close to our house to the nearby golf course and resort town of Caleta de Fuste.

Further details indoors: The spacious and cool lounge has a large L-shaped sofa perfect for the whole family to lounge on. There is a TV, DVD player, CD hi-fi, Sony Playstation with a selection of games, DVDs and CDs. The kitchen diner is fully equipped and can seat 5 for dinner. There is a full cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, toaster, toastie maker and kettle. This allows you to dine in in style.
The spacious and tastefully decorated master bedroom has a double bed, ample storage and the panoramic window has a sea view.
Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds and ample storage. The main bathroom on the first floor has a powerful shower over the bath. The WC on the ground floor makes for a comfortable stay. A hair-dryer is provided. Every room has a ceiling mounted fan and there are two portable tower fans. We also have a portable air conditioning unit available for a small additional fee.
Further details outdoors: The private secluded garden is north facing and enjoys both sun and shade for most of the year. Eating in becomes a joy when you can eat the meal you prepared in our well equipped kitchen out in the garden.
The barbecue at the end of the garden allows you to make the most of outdoor living.
