This 5 star Villa is a luxurious and spacious 3 bedroom villa set in its own grounds with a private heated swimming pool on Fuerteventura Golf Course. Situated beside the small town of El Castillo, 2km from the sea and 15 minutes from the airport, the villa is centrally located for exploring the whole island. It comprises circa 1,000 sq feet of living space and comfortably caters for 6 people and can accommodate up to 8 if required. There are three bedrooms, (master en suite) and two twins.

The Fuerteventura region

With three thousand hours of sunshine a year, Fuerteventura is the closest Canary Island to the African coast with only 100km separating the 'Punta de la Entallada' from Cape Juby in Morroco and is the second largest (after Tenerife) of all the islands.

The weather conditions of Fuerteventura are very similar to Florida and Mexico which make this the ideal holiday location. It has many enormous sand dunes and long sandy beaches (more than one hundred and fifty). Even though most of the land consists of stone and rock, these are some of the most impressive beaches in the whole of Europe.

In the history of time Fuerteventura is generally regarded as the oldest of all the Canaries and its strange contours come from various volcanic episodes. The last eruption occurred around 7,000 years ago. Should you wish to see some volcanic activity take a trip to the neighboring island of Lanzarote, it's well worth it. See our Ferry page for details on how to get there. You can also take a short boat trip over to the small island of Los Lobos (only 6sqkm) and really get away from it all.

Water sports are very popular in Fuerteventura. Every year hundreds of surfers, windsurfers and divers descend on Fuerteventura and during July the island is host to the P.W.A world windsurfing speed and slalom event at Sotavento in the south.

There are many new attractions inviting tourists to discover different aspects of the Island's landscape and culture such as the Betancuria Museum of Archaeology and Ethnography and Tefia Craft Village to name but a few.

Caleta de Fuste / Fuerteventura Golf area

Fuerteventura Golf Club is a new 18 hole championship golf course, with lush wide fairways and swaying palm trees which offers both an interesting and challenging test for players of all standards. The course, the first on the island, is a par 70 extending 6124 metres from the championship tees, with a mild descent from the Clubhouse down towards the ocean.

Unfortunately you will have to walk the 2 minutes from the La Isla Bonita family golf villas.(I suppose you could take the car!!). Green fees (Circa 40 euro) are relatively inexpensive particularly compared to mainland Spain or Portugal.

The Fuerteventura golf course was designed by the prestigious architect Juan Catarimeau, who realised the importance of the prevailing northerly wind on the design and landscaped the course with this factor in mind. Water comes into play on many holes with a series of attractive lakes and brooks traversing the course. To compensate for the prevailing breeze and water the greens are large and most of the fairways are quite generous.

Fuerteventura golf course, which is superbly appointed and maintained, will present a challenge to the most serious golfer as well as an ideal place to improve your game if you are less experienced. There is a large practice area which includes a 50 bay driving range area and extensive practice putting / chipping facilities. Professional tuition is available in several languages.

The clubhouse includes large pro-shop, changing rooms with lockers, a club storage area and a choice of bars and restaurants. There is also an outside terrace and garden area where you can enjoy your drink overlooking the 18th green with spectacular views down towards the Atlantic Ocean. Buggies, trolleys and two classes of clubs can be hired.

The master bedroom has a special order spacious 180cm double bed. All bedrooms have integral wardrobes, providing ample storage space and all bed linen and towels are provided for your comfort and convenience. A secure safe can be individually coded.

En-suite bathroom with Master Bedroom comprising bath, shower, bidet and double sink. Large main bathroom with bath, shower, WC and marble sink.

Kitchen:
The kitchen is fully equipped with all mod cons, including dishwasher,washing machine, microwave, hob, oven and fridge/freezer. There is a full supply of glassware and utensils for all your cooking, dining & serving needs.

Utility Room:
Washing machine, clothes horse, iron and ironing board, extra large boiler ensures plentiful hot water.

Living Rooms:
The lounge/dining area is beautifully furnished using traditional natural Canarian style furniture and provides a cool place to relax, dine watch the satellite TV (21 inch monitor) / Video or listen to music, (portable stereo provided)

Further details outdoors:
The patio decked out in sun loungers, easy chairs and drinks table is shaded from the sun and overlooks your own heated pool. Kidney shaped pool, (7.5m x 3.5m x 1.5m) and surrounding garden area. The Garden area around the pool is tiled in natural stone with an attractive Canarian stone barbecue provided for your convenience. A shower is situated at the pool steps where there is also a secure handrail to make it easy to get in and out of the pool.

The grounds are planted with a selection of flowers, (including Hibiscus, Cannas etc.) and indigenous palm trees. Privacy is maintained through the use of 1.5m high cane cladding around the villa's boundary fence.

The large roof terrace provides a haven for serious sun tanning and enjoys views across the golf course down to the port area of Caleta and the Ocean beyond. A shower room on the roof terrace is also provided for your convenience

Further details

Coast/Beach
The best nearest beach is in Caleta to the right of the port (approx 2km away). This is a beautiful horse shoe shaped sandy beach, very safe and perfect for the whole family to enjoy. You can also hire sunbeds and parasols for the day at a very reasonable cost. A new 3km stretch of man-made beach is now open across the road from the golf course complex (approx. 1-2 km away). The most popular beaches on the Island are located at Corralejo, El Cotillo, Costa Calma, Cofte and Jandia.

Island is perfect for big game fishing,watersports (diving, water skiing, wind surfing and kite boarding). There are plentiful horse riding centres. There is also the opportunity to explore the other canary islands in particular the spectacular Lanzarote 40 mins by ferry from Corralejo.

Booking notes
30% booking deposit required. Balance paid 1 month before departure date. A damage deposit of £ 150 is taken on arrival and returned on departure. Small extra charges apply for cot & hire chair.

 A deposit may be required in addition to the holiday fee. This deposit is payable to our Homecare representative prior to handing over the keys and will be refunded at the end of the holiday subject to an inventory of contents.
 In the unlikely event of damages / breakages, customers will be liable to the full replacement cost of the damaged or missing item(s)
 We do not take responsibility for any loss, injury or accident whether personal or otherwise suffered by you while staying at the Villa and recommend you take out suitable insurance before travelling.
 Cancellation of a booking will lead to a forfeit.
