The Fuerteventura region
Fuerteventura has weather conditions are very similar to Florida and Mexico which are on the same latitude making it an ideal holiday location. It is regarded as the oldest of all the canaries. It's strange contours come from various volcanic episodes, the last one being 7,000 years ago so its pretty safe now! Fuerteventura boasts beautiful sandy beaches with many enormous sand dunes.
The Caleta de Fuste / Central Caleta area
Caleta de Fuste is 10km south of the Airport. It is also known as Castillo and is one of the major tourist towns on the island. It has a long main street consisting of low rise buildings where many bars and restaurants are concentrated.
It boasts a new Golf course and nearby a new shopping complex. There is always something to to do with the usual water sports available including boat trips and diving or a submarine offering undersea excursions. It has a varied night-life with plenty of bars and a variety of restaurants.
It is only 15 minutes drive from the capital Puerta del Rosario, a great shopping destination. Half an hour drive to the famous sand dunes of the busy resort Corralejo where you can catch a ride to Lanzarote.

Directions: The Airport to Caleta route should take about 10mins.
Follow the road arrows out of airport until you come to a main roundabout.
Follow the signs for Caleta de Fuste/Morro Jabb(Jandia).
Keep left and filter onto the motorway.
Go straight through at El Mattoral roundabout, then follow signs for Calete de Fuste.
** Remember that Calete de Fuste may be on maps as El Castillo/Castillo/Caleta/Caleta de Fuste.**
Take 1st left at Calete, continue straight.
Take the next left, then left again onto oneway street. It is the last building on the right.

villa was very good- well equiped, very clean, spacous etc. Was child friendly and outside pool area very clean and enclosed.. The villa is situated close to town and eating places are very good. I enjoyed this villa and all that came with it that much in February this year i returned with my family in the October. I will hopefully be making this villa my holiday for some years to come. |
