About the home

The position of this small block of apartments is one of the best around , generally quiet even in high season and with pleasant views over the gardens and sea. The bedroom is situated at the rear and has two single beds. There is a double sofa bed in the living room. It is ideally suited to couples.

The shower is a half bath.

The nearest beach is just down the steps beyond the Hotel Sant Roc, the St Roc beach followed by the Port Pelegri beach with a well known beach restaurant and professional diving centre.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia/Barcelona region

This part of the Costa Brava has to be the most beautiful part of the entire Spanish Mediterranean coast .. a rugged coastline , sandy coves, stunning views, crystal waters. Here it is back to basics - no high-rise buildings or package tours just natural beauty at it's best with great food and wine. Making this a little haven that people return to time after time.

The Calella de Palafrugell area

Calella de Palafrugell has a string of bays all good for swimming. There are a number of restaurants on the shore allowing you to lunch/dine for a reasonable price. Nightlife is very low key and concentrates mainly around the bars and cafés. There are a couple of supermarkets and a local market daily 3 kms away in the main town of Palafrugell.

Llafranc twenty minutes on foot from Calella has again a selection of restaurants and hotels with a small port at one end. A hike up to the lighthouse at St Sebastian gives you a wonderful view of the surrounding area.

Tamariu is another small village with the same style with one small sandy bay and beautifully preserved and very pretty.

All villages have diving centres, some sailing schools, boats/canoes for hire. A car is a good idea to explore and to get the most out of your stay.

Ryanair fly into Girona Airport (sold as Barcelona Girona) from various UK and other European airports. Although the flights were reduced over the winter, they are starting up again from different airports for the Spring. Girona is an easy 40 minute drive from Calella de Palafrugell.

Barcelona airport is 1,55 hours away by car. Vueling, Easy Jet and Ryanair use this airport.

Trains :- Caldes and Flaça train stations are approximately 30 minutes away by taxi.

Bus :- SARFA buses arrive into Palafrugell from Girona and Barcelona (estacio del nord)
