About the home

Large 90sq.m. south facing 2 double bedroom 2 bathroom raised duplex garden apartment in a quiet area of Calahonda. Sleeps up to 4 people in 2 double bedrooms. Clean, airy and modern. Sky TV freeview. Hot and cold air-conditioning. Large south facing terrace with awning, BBQ and partial sea view. Lovely communal gardens with pool open all year round, children's play area and tennis court.

Walking distance to local beach, shops, banks, chemist, bars, internet cafe's and restaurants. Walking distance to the bus which takes you to Marbella or Fuengirola. 5 minutes drive to the quaint Port of Cabopino, which has some of the best beaches in the Costa del Sol. Numerous golf courses within 15 minute drive. 15 minutes to Mijas water park. 30 minutes drive from Malaga airport. 1 hours drive to tax free Gibraltar.

Lounge with 2 double sofas and single reclining chair. Side table. TV cabinet, with TV, Sky freeview, DVD player / ipod / iphone dock / charger. Playstation 1 and games. Visitor intercom. Hot and cold air-conditioning unit.

Dining area with table and 4 chairs. Wall unit with CD player.

Spiral staircase down to bedrooms and main bathroom.

Please only smoke outside, on the terrace, using an ashtray.

Please bring your own beach towels.

Bathroom towels, bed linen and tea towels are provided, and changed after each rental period.

The property is fully cleaned before each rental period (and we would ask that you leave the property as you found it).

This is a family friendly development, with a children's play area, secure enclosed communal gardens, pool open all year round and tennis court.

Children are welcome, and our management company can arrange the hire of a baby cot, highchair or Z bed.

Airport transfers can also be arranged through our management company, and should you be arriving late, our management company can also provide a welcome food pack upon request.

Smokers are requested to only smoke outside on the terrace using ashtrays.

Small dogs are accepted by prior arrangement.

Unfortunately this property is not suitable for wheelchair users, as there are steps up to the terrace and the front door of the apartment. There is also a spiral staircase inside to go down to the bedrooms and main bathroom.

There is WiFi connection in the development, and temporary scratch cards can be purchased from the local newsagent to allow access.

25% non refundable booking deposit is required by cheque or bank transfer at time of booking (dates can only be held upon receipt of deposit and signed contract).

Balance by cheque or bank transfer a minimum of 8 weeks before arrival.

The person booking must be over the age of 21 years old.

A £150 refundable bond is also required when paying final balance.

A reservation contract will be sent at time of booking.

Bookings will only be confirmed upon receipt of completed reservation contract and deposit.

The Costa del Sol region

Coast/Beach
The nearest beach La Luna is 5 mins walk via the underpass. Less than 5 mins drive is the port of Cabopino which has some of the best beaches on the Costa Del Sol. Elviria beach is 10 minutes drive, and has the world famous Nikki Beach Club. Fuengirola is a family friendly tourist resort 15 mins drive away. Marbella is 15 mins drive and has a long stretch of beach with a great promenade. Puerto Banus is an upmarket glitzy designer port with Ferrari's, yacht's and beach clubs.

Golf
Also known as the Cost Del Golf, the Costa Del Sol has over 70 golf courses, including the very famous Valderama. Within 5 minutes drive from the apartment there is 18 hole Cabopino golf and the 9 hole par 3 La Siesta de Calahonda Golf. Most golf courses are open to reservations from non-members, and quite often have special offers during the summer months including buggy's. Many courses also offer the facility to hire golf equipment if necessary.

Skiing
There is amazing skiing in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Special interest holidays
There is a very active lawn bowls scene on the Costa del Sol. Our nearest club is Miraflores bowls which is a 5 minute drive away and is very friendly. There is tennis Costa Del Sol academy at the top of Calahonda within 5 minutes drive.

Distances
The Costa del Sol has some beautiful whitewashed villages. One of the prettiest is Mijas Pueblo 20 minutes drive away. Perched on the mountainside overlooking Fuengirola, it gives amazing views of the coastline. This is a very traditional Spanish village with donkey taxi's, a bull ring and tapas restaurants. Gibraltar is around 1 hour's drive. With red post boxes and English 'bobbies' it's also tax free. You must go up the cable cars to see the view of Africa and meet the famous Barbary apes.

Further details
The bus stop is within 5 mins walking distance of the apartment, and can take you to the tourist resort of Fuengirola 15 mins away. Or to the lovely old Spanish town of Marbella in the other direction in 15 mins. The buses are clean, cheap and usually on time. There is also a taxi rank within 5 mins walking distance of the apartment. The shopping in the Costa Del Sol is great, and has everything from local street markets and shopping malls, to high end designer boutiques in Puerto Banus.

The Calahonda / Calahonda Royale area

Calahonda is an excellent location to holiday on the Costa Del Sol. There are plenty of amenities, beaches and golf courses on your door step. But should you wish to visit other area's such as Marbella, Puerto Banus, Mijas Village, Gibraltar they are all easily accessible.

Mijas water park is a great day out, and is 15 mins drive.

Fuengirola has a good Zoo, and is also 15 mins drive (or you can get the bus). You can go on sightseeing boat trips, there are various English speaking cinema's, the newly built shopping complex Miramar and ten pin bowling alleys in Fuengirola and also at the La Canada shopping centre in Marbella.

La Cala de Mijas is a very nice town 10 mins drive away (or you can get the bus). It has a fantastic beach and many restaurants and bars.

Malaga is a cosmopolitan city mixed with a very old town. It is around 1 hours drive away, and you can go on an open topped bus city tour.

For an amazing day out, you should go to Selwo Safari park in Estepona around 30 mins drive. It's huge, and has a Jurassic Park feel to it. Instead of the animals being in cages, you go round in a safari truck.

In tax free Gibraltar around an hour away, you can go on Dolphin sightseeing submarine and boat trips. You can also go to Morocco for the day by ferry from here.

The apartment is 30 minutes drive from Malaga airport, which has cheap flights all year round.

You can also fly into Gibraltar, which is around an hour away.

Car Hire is very reasonable in the Costa Del Sol, or our management company can arrange to collect you from Malaga airport.

The apartment is walking distance to the bus stop, and taxi rank.

“Great location, great house, excellent value for money” Photos do not do this property justice. Excellent location, just a short walk to the beach and all amenities. The bus stop is a short walk away and the service is excellent, we had some marvellous days out at both Marbella and Fuengirola and had no problems using the buses. Management company picked us up and dropped us off at the airport with no problems. Would definately book this property again, highly recommended.
