Fabulous home in the sun, perfect for families or a small group. Beautiful, gated, friendly and settled community with lovely gardens. Laze around the fabulous large shared swimming pool and let the kids enjoy their own pool! There is parking outside your own front door with steps down to the apartment which is an elevated ground floor position. The large balcony enjoys the most fabulous views of the med. Just image yourself with an ice cold drink and watching the sunset! Ah Heaven!

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Located midway between Fuengirola and Marbella with the local beach about 1.5km away. Approximately 10 mins drive to the very popular BLUE FLAG Cabopino beach (Andy's beach great for families) and another 10 mins to Marbella. 10 minutes in the other direction there's the wonderful town of seaside town La Cala, offering plenty of Spanish charm and another 10 minutes the to bustling town of Fuengirola. Half an hour inland and you're in the wonderful Spanish white washed haven of Mijas. If you visit on most Sunday evenings you can soak up the atmosphere either inside or around the tiny bullring! Mijas oozes charm and has plenty of lovely restaurants and also offers the most stunning views over the Costa Del Sol.
Spring and Winter are perfect times to play golf with lovely mild weather and also to go skiing in Sierra Nevada. Summer and Autumn are perfect for the sun worshippers, with July and August being the most popular months to visit.
Calahonda / Estrellas de Calahonda area
Located only a stones throw away from the apartment is a small choice of restaurants and bars (new late entertainment bar 'Millienium' opened May 09) and a supermarket. Five minutes drive away there is a choice of large supermarkets, one of which is located in El Zoco shopping centre. El Zoco has a central courtyard where you will find a wide choice of great bars, restaurants and shops. Calahonda also has it's own 'strip' on the Av. De Espana, where you will find a great choice of bars and restaurants and a medical centre. The local tourist 'train' stops outside the apartment and does a round trip to the strip and the El Zoco Shopping Centre regularly during the day and early evening. The Mijas Taxi service is efficient and can be contacted at 952 478288.
You're spoilt when it comes to a choice of beaches, with Calahonda beach approx 1.5km away, Andy's Beach about 10 mins drive away and Elvira 10 mins further on (both perfect for families with gently slopping sea, restaurants and services). La Cala town beach (local flavour) and Marbella and Puerto Banus for lots of people watching. No matter which direction you take along the coast, you'll find the perfect beach for you!
For those who want more than to just laze in the sun and looking for activities, there's too many golf courses to count, shopping in Marbella, Puerto Banus, Fuengirola and Gibraltar, Selwo Safari Park, Selwo Aquatic Park to see the whales and dolphins, the telecabin cable car ride at Benalmadena, Tivoli World (hugely popular with the kids), Fuengirola Zoo, Fuengirola Water Park and a tennis club (2 mins away).
To venture further afield, there's the amazing cities of Malaga (Picasso museum), Ronda, Sevilla, Corboda and Granada. Time it right and you can ski in the morning in Sierra Nevada and be back down in Calahonda for a drink in the sunset!
How to get there
Ryanair, Go Hop, BMI Baby and Easy Jet etc. fly direct from the UK to Malaga.
Ryanair and Aer Lingus fly direct from Ireland to Malaga, together with flight only deals from holiday companies.
Car hire is available at the airport and pre-bookable on line, just google 'car hire malaga airport' for a multitude of choices. Note: in case of a language barrier (unlikely!) Estrellas is pronounced ESTRAYAS (de Calahonda).
If hiring a car follow the A7 motorway - Driving on the right hand side of the road! Follow directions to A7 Cadiz/Marbella (do not follow Malaga signs, do not go on the flyover, take the lower road beside the San Miguel factory!) which leads directly to Calahonda. On the A7, take the first and only exit to Calahonda (small toll charge at end). Exit toll plaza on to roundabout. Take the second exit, passing tennis club on your left. Follow road for about 1km. At the T junction at the tunnel, turn left. At next T junction turn right. Follow road (turns right) complex is on the first right. Journey time is approx 25 mins from the airport.
There is a rail link to Fuengirola from the Airport along with bus services.

Further details indoors: The apartment is well-equipped with everything you need for a holiday in the sun e.g. sheets and towels, fully equipped kitchen including plenty of crockery, pots and pans, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave, iron and ironing board etc. The living room is big and airy and leads to the balcony. There is a lovely new suite of furniture, SKY TV, video player and DVD player and a dining table and chairs that comfortably sits six. The master bedroom has air conditioning (and a ceiling fan) and a superking size bed leading to the balcony which has spectacular views over the Med. Bed 2 has twin beds and air conditioning (and a ceiling fan), bed 3 has ceiling fans and has a double bed. All bedrooms are large and have plenty of wardrobes. There is a safe in the master bedroom also. Large family bathroom with bath/shower and second bathroom with shower. There's two big hot water tanks so plenty of hot water! There's even a hair dryer! All linen and towels are provided, however, we ask you to provide your own beach towels.
The lovely garden area has a fabulous shared pool and kids pool and is serviced by a brand new toilet block.
