Located in Calahonda, only 20 to 30 minutes from Malaga Airport, this villa is a large and spacious property. It has been recently fitted out and is beautifully furnished and decorated to a high standard. It is ideal for two families with children or for extended family groups. The extensive accommodation is on 3 floors, with two kitchens and two large living/dining areas.
The villa is south facing and the various balconies, three large terraces, garden and private pool provide plenty of outdoor space for relaxing and enjoying the great Spanish weather. The villa is a quiet location only 5 minutes from local amenities and shops and is conveniently located for trips to the many beautiful beaches, golf courses and other tourist attractions of the Costa del Sol.
The lower floor can be used as a self contained 2 bedroom apartment and in off peak periods this may be available to let separately for smaller parties.

The accommodation is on 3 floors. The configuration of the villa is ideal for two families or extended family groups who wish to holiday together but also have their own space. The accommodation can be split if required, so that the top and middle floors can be used as a self contained 4 bedroomed property and the lower floor accommodation can be used as a 2 bedroom apartment with its own separate access, if this is preferred. There is an interconnecting door between the middle floor and lower floor accommodation which can be locked.
All rooms are fully air conditioned (hot or cold) with simple to use hand sets and wall controls.
The top floor comprises one master bedroom (with en suite), 2 twin bedrooms and a family bathroom. The front twin bedroom has 2 single beds and oak finish bedroom furniture with large built in wardrobes. The rear bedroom has 2 single beds, attractive cream painted wooden bedroom furniture and there are double doors onto a balcony that over looks the valley.
The master bedroom has a super king sized double bed, oak finished bedroom furniture and large built in wardrobes. There is a large en suite bathroom fully tiled in marble with a bath (and hand shower attachment), toilet, bidet, twin sinks. A door from the master bedroom leads onto a balcony (shared with the rear twin bedroom).
The top floor also has a separate large shower room fully tiled in marble with twin sinks, a toilet, a bidet and walk in shower.
Each bedroom has wooden shutters (as well as curtains or blinds) which are superb blackout blinds, ideal for afternoon naps or avoiding early morning wakening. All bedroom furniture is contemporary and good quality. All balconies are high sided but for added safety all balcony doors in the villa have been fitted with high bolts for child safety purposes if required.
Middle Floor - kitchen, living room, shower room and twin bedroom. A wide marble staircase leads down to the middle floor where there is a further twin bedroom at the front of the villa. The bedroom has 2 single beds, oak finish bedroom furniture and large built in wardrobes, wooden shutters and curtains.
The middle floor also has a shower room fully tiled in marble with a walk-in shower, toilet and sink.
There is a fully fitted tiled kitchen with plenty of cupboard space and a large granite work top. Double doors in the kitchen open out onto a large balcony where there is an outside dining table and six chairs with views of the garden and valley. There is an automated sun canopy which can be used to shade the outside dining area when required.
There is a spacious living room with a large corner leather sofa, a dining table and chairs for six, a fire place and a coffee table. A 40” flat screen television is mounted on the wall with freeview satellite channels (english speaking) and there is a DVD player. A door from the living room leads out onto the large balcony and outside dining area.
All balcony doors have been fitted with high bolts for child safety purposes if required.Lower Floor - open plan kitchen and living room area, 2 bedrooms and a large family bathroom.
The lower floor has a large open plan living area with a large glass dining table with 6 seats, a large corner leather sofa, a fully fitted kitchen with all the appliances listed above. A second washing machine is housed in the cupboards opposite the kitchen. There is a 42” flat screen television mounted on the wall with free view satellite channels (English speaking) and a DVD player.
The bedrooms comprise a twin bedded room and a double with a king sized double bed. Both bedrooms have large white fitted wardrobes and white bedroom furniture. As with the other twin bedrooms in the villa, the single beds can be pushed together if preferred. There is a large fully tiled newly fitted bathroom, with a sink and fitted drawer unit, mirror, bath, shower, toilet and electric heated towel rail.
Linen and towels provided (excluding beach towels).

The top floor bedrooms each have access to a balcony and the middle floor bedroom has its own courtyard. The middle floor kitchen has a large balcony and outside dining area with seating for 6. On the middle terrace (which is next to the lower floor kitchen) there is an outside dining table and seating for 8.
We have sun loungers, side tables, 2 large parasols, and a BBQ is available for use in the outside areas.
The villa has a gated well planted and terraced sloping garden and a small lawned area. There are several large terraces on different levels connected by steps with views of the garden and valley beyond. The villa’s fully maintained chlorinated pool is on the upper terrace, a few steps down on the middle terrace is the dining area.
Access to the outside areas is by steps down from the entrance to the villa or from the lower floor living area. The large terraces are ideal for outdoor dining, private sunbathing and there is plenty of space for children to play. For families with children, access to the pool from the lower floor terrace can be restricted by locking the gate if required.
The villa has a walled perimetre which provides a safe and private environment. The southern boundary overlooks a steep sided natural valley. On the opposite side of the valley there are apartments.
Parking:
There is plenty of space for parking on the road outside the villa. There is also a secure parking space inside the front gate if preferred.
The front door to the top floors of the villa is at street level. There are also wide steps that lead down to the pool and outside areas. The outside steps and terraces have lighting which is ideal for an evening BBQ.

For bookings of parties of 4 or less we will consider letting the lower floor accommodation which can be used as a self contained apartment (at reduced rates) in off peak periods. Again, outside peak periods, we will consider letting the top two floors of the property (i.e. as a 4 bedroomed villa) to groups of 5 to 8 persons.
We will not take bookings for hen or stag parties or for large groups of young adults.

The villa is strictly no smoking.
50% of the booking fee (payable in sterling or Euro) is required as a deposit upon booking with the balance of the fee due 8 weeks before arrival.
A refundable breakages deposit of £500 or 600 Euro is required when the balance of the booking fee is paid 8 weeks before arrival. This will be reimbursed after your departure (subject to inspection by our agent) by bank transfer to your account or by cheque (£ sterling payments only) posted to your home address.

The Costa del Sol is situated in southern Spain, within the Andalucian region, and offers more than 160km of coastline with a succession of beaches varying in length, from soft sand and seafront promenades, to quiet coves and beautiful scenery.
As well as the beaches there are many other tourist attractions to enjoy on the Costa del Sol such as the waterparks, Fuengirola zoo and Selwo Wildlife Park. It is also an ideal choice for a golfing holiday with a wide choice of good quality courses and a great climate for year round golf.
The Calahonda / Sitio de Calahonda area
Calahonda is a well established urbanisation with many wide green avenues and limited new development. It is situated between Marbella and Fuengirola and is only a 20 to 30 minutes drive from Malaga airport. Calahonda offers easy access to the many beaches, waters sports, golf courses and other tourist attractions of the Costa del Sol. It is only a short drive to the fashionable ports of Puerto Banus and Marbella known for their shopping and great night life.
While the vast majority of Calahonda is devoted to villas and town houses there are three commercial centres with supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, bars and banks, providing every amenity required for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. There is a 9 hole golf course in Calahonda and a further 10 golf courses within a 10 kilometre radius.
The villa offers easy access to many beaches, the nearest are 15 minutes drive away, such as the beach at Cabopino (which has some good restaurants and bars) and the beach area at Elviria. The water park and zoo at Fuengirola are also only 20 minutes drive away.
The local tennis, squash and fitness centre at "Club del Sol" is within a 5 minutes drive of the villa (within walking distance). These facilities can be used on a pay and play basis.
The villa is within walking distance of a number of restaurants and bars. A small supermarket is also within 5 minutes walk. The main commercial areas in Calahonda which also have a wide choice of restaurants and bars are 5 minutes drive from the villa. There are also great restaurants and bars to visit in the other resort areas along the coast, such as Mijas Playa, Cabopino and Elviria.

Fly to Malaga. Calahonda is approximately 20 to 30 minutes drive from the airport on the new toll road (AP-7).
The toll road costs between 2 to 4 Euro (depending on the time of year) and it is quiet and easy to drive on.
Calahonda is also easily accessible from the airport on the E340 coastal road. Our information pack will contain directions to Calahonda and our villa.
Cheap flights are available from all regional airports (airlines include , Easy Jet, BMi baby, First Choice, MyTravel, Thomas Cook, and Ryanair).
Car hire is recommended and is not expensive – we find Helle Hollis (hoc@hellehollis.com) very good.
Taxis are also available at the airport.
