The apartment is self-contained, has its own private access, terrace and garden area and forms part of our private villa which is fully secure and is accessed through an electrically operated gate and is within the exclusive gated development of lower Calahonda.

There is only one apartment to let and our guests can makes full use of the facilities within the grounds of our villa, including shared use of our private swimming pool, beautiful landscape gardens, BBQ and bar area, and the sun terrace. We are not part of a complex and feel you will have a unique and private holiday experience, most of our guests are repeat visitors and many have become our personal friends.

The apartment is fully equipped for all your needs, has marble floors throughout, includes, terrace table and chairs, sun beds, a covered bar area with complimentary drinks. Just sit back , relax and enjoy your holiday. CHEERS. As you will be our only guests and the pool area is very private, naturist / nudist swimming and sunbathing is allowed

All the bars, shops, resturants, banks and supermarkets are with in walking distance.

The lounge and dining room have been tastefully furnished and comes complete with a six seater dining table, SKY TV and a DVD player. FREE Internet access and WIFI.

Bedroom

The bedroom has a superb king size bed and is dressed with the best quality linen, there is plenty of storage and wardrobe space, dressing gowns and a hair dryer are provided for your use.

Facilities

Includes a private swimming pool solar heated from May to October, sun beds, a covered bar area with complimentary drinks including beer, wines and spirits.

A generous welcome pack is available on your arrival, and we can arrange for transport to and from the airport. The linen and towels are changed once a week, or daily if required for an extra fee.

The Andalucia region

Puerto Banus

The focal point of Puerto Banus is the marina. It has berths for 915 boats, including those of the King of Saudi Arabia and several of the world's wealthiest individuals. Behind the harbour lie streets filled with bars, boutiques and restaurants. 20 mins.

Mijas

One of the jewels of the Costa del Sol is the beautiful little village of Mijas, which nestles comfortably in the mountainside at 428 metres above sea level, just wander through the narrow cobbled streets of this Andalucian white village, and you can understand why it has attracted many artists and writers whom have made it their home. 25 mins.

Marbella

In the chic town of Marbella, hints of its former Moorish occupation mingle with modern-day resort amenities. Experience the Andalucian charm of the historic quarter, filled with white washed buildings, remnants of a ninth-century Arab fortress and fragrant trees in Orange Square. 15 mins.

Ronda

Ronda retains much of its historic charm, particularly its old town. It is famous worldwide for its dramatic escarpments and views, and for the deep El Tajo gorge that carries the Rio Guadalevín through its centre. 1 hour drive.

Calahonda

The rural flavour and coastal lifestyle are two of Calahonda's most attractive features, because, although the area is developed, its founder was keen on green areas, large plots and limits on apartment buildings. Thus, the area has grown in a generally peaceful and rustic fashion.

While the vast majority of Calahonda's 600,000 square metres is devoted to villas, townhouses and space for four golf courses, selected areas have been dedicated to providing residents with every amenity imaginable. There are, therefore, three commercial centres which house most of the development's 45 restaurants, cafeterias and pubs as well as seven banks, several supermarkets and a wide variety of other businesses including: hardware, furniture, garden supply, travel agencies, car hire, car repair, property management and much more.

Sports are easily incorporated into a Calahonda lifestyle. For starters, there are a total of 10 golf courses within a 10 kilometre radius of this urbanisation, which also has its own port, Cabopino. And, having its own share of coastline, puts a spotlights on a wide array of water sports as well. Tennis courts and a fitness centre are also available to residents.

Health care needs are provided for by a chemist and three medical centres, offering 24 hour service. Furthermore, the state-funded Hospital Costa del Sol is well known as the Coast's state-of-the-art medical facility and is just minutes from Calahonda.

Calahonda and Riviera del Sol are favourite destinations for both English and Spanish holiday-makers, as they are both ideally situated right by the sea between Fuengirola and Marbella (both about 15 minutes drive away), and only 30 minutes drive from Malaga Airport. There's an excellent bus service along the coast, with buses running every 25 minutes to lively Fuengirola and exclusive Marbella, stopping off at dozens of beaches, villages, and attractions along the way.

Calahonda has its own superb sandy beach and further along is Cabopino beach and dunes which also has a large naturist and a gay section, both have excellent beach bars.

If you wish to travel further afield in the Malaga direction, a train will take you along the coast from Fuengirola via such tourist hotspots as Benalmadena and Torremolinos.

"We love this place!"

We've stayed with Mark and John four times now and expect to stay with them many more times in the future. We found their place quite by chance and have never looked back. The recent refresh of the apartment makes it even nicer and, as always, Mark and John (and not forgetting Jodie the terrier of course) make our stay a delight from start to finish. The apartment is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems (steep steps to access it) and we'd recommend a hire car to enable you to access the beaches and do some sight seeing, but it's not essential it you just want to laze by the wonderful pool and garden.
Would recommend it to any couples, gay or straight, who are looking for a relaxing break in a quality apartment with wonderful hosts, especially if you like to get an "all over tan" by the pool.

"Just wow!"

We were looking for a quiet retreat for some time out to relax after a real tough year. The villa and the hosts ticked all the right boxes. We were made to feel comfortable and at home from the minute we arrived til the minute we left.. We didn't actually want to leave, and were already making plans amongst ourselves as to when we would come back!
The location of the villa was perfect, and exclusive use of the poolside and bar exceeded our expectations! We were not far at all for things to do, and Mark and John were extremely helpful with information.
I absolutely 100% recommend the villa and the hosts for what was an amazing holiday!

"Relaxing privacy and still close to the services"

Casa Palmeras was an ideal place for us who wanted to be away from big hotel complexes - Luxorious environment with spacious rooms, private pool and complimentary bar. We really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and still within 10 - 20 minutes walk we had plenty of restaurants to visit. We will most definately come back - thanks Mark and John!

"A superb luxury apartment, in an idyllic setting helped to make this a fantastic week away!"

We were made to feel welcome from the very moment we arrived.

The apartment was beautifully presented, tastefully furnished and equipped with everything you would need to enjoy your holiday.

The pool area is lovely and quiet where you can truly relax in the sun.

Mark and John are delightful hosts helping to make Casa Palmeras a true home from home, even Jodie the dog is well behaved and always pleased to see you!

We would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday, so much so, we have already booked our return visit for next year!!

"A quiet restful holiday in luxurious surroundings"

This was a quiet and relaxing holiday with every amenity you could want. The apartment could not provide anything more to make it a home from home. The pool area is ideal with sun loungers, towels, BBQ, bar and even facilities for a full cooked meal should you wish to
take advantage of it. Mark and John are the perfect hosts and Jodie(the scottie) is a delight.
The welcome pack was beyond the normal and given the time we arrived was just perfect.
I would recommend this apartment to everyone who is looking to have that peaceful, relaxing break. Close to local amenities, but not too close.
