About the home

'Claudia H' is a luxury two bedroom apartment on the first floor overlooking the pools and the sea from its large south facing balcony, with the beach only a few steps away. Fully equipped kitchen and shower room with and an extra toilet and washroom. The lounge contains a sofa bed and dining for six people. There is satellite TV offering all the major UK channels. We have our own housekeeper and maintence man who looks after our apartment and are available for our guests if required.

The resort is owned by MacDonald’s Hotels and is widely recognized as a five star resort. There is excellent dining and bars on site, a mini-market, launderette, internet facilities, tennis courts children's club & play area, gym and indoor pool & leisure complex (membership included in price). There is also a Golf Office on site and excursions can be booked from Reception. Entertainment is provided in the summer months

On the balcony there is a table and six chairs Our apartment is painted and fully spring cleaned every year .Martha our housekeeper and Ingo our maintence man make sure that the apartment is always fresh and aired with plenty fluffy white towels for all our guests.

Access to the pools and other leisure facilities is via Leisure Club membership cards. These are kept in the apartment and are included in the rental price.

Golf booking facilities are available on the site (over 25 courses within easy reach). Tennis courts are within the complex and bookable through the Leisure Club.

Deposit of 20% required on booking with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to departure, or immediately if booking is made within 8 weeks of departure.
A refundable security deposit of £100 is required against breakages and damage

Their is a cleaning charge of £60 at the end of stay.

My house keeper Martha livesin Calahonda directly accross the road, and is available if you require mid week cleaning or if you have any problems while in the apartment.. This is an extremely beneficial arrangement for my guests (and of course for me too when I'm staying there!), because if you have any sort of problem she will sort it for you. So rest assured that if something goes wrong when you are on your holidays, either with you, your family or friends, or with the apartment, there is someone local and friendly to help. And of course they speak excellent English! We all try to be very flexible with your travel arrangements; for example, we do not insist upon arriving or departing on a particular day of the week if we can work around it.

The Costa del Sol region

The climate in the Costa de sol is generally mild in winter (although some nights are chilly) and hot and dry in summer. Winter is like the British Spring.

If you wish to go outside the Dona Lola complex you could go west into Marcella, Puerto Banes, Stepson and Gibraltar or in the opposite direction to Fuengirola, Benalmadena and Torremolinos or to the city of Malaga and its Picasso museum the area boasts some of the best golf courses in Spain.

The Dona Lola complex provides everything for a quiet relaxing holiday whether you choose to stroll around its tropical gardens or swim in any one of the pools. There is a shallow children’s pool and the main pool, which overlooks the ocean, snakes all the way round the restaurant. There is also an adult’s only pool; children's play area, gym, sauna, spa, indoor pool, tennis courts, snooker room and a beach

Dona Lola is in the district of Calahonda on the N340 Costa Del Sol Highway, a half-hour drive from Malaga airport.
On site there are plenty bars, restaurants of many different cuisine, a supermarket. Shops, and cafes

A short drive inland takes you to the authentic Andalusia. The nearby town of Mijas offers horseracing, bullfighting and spectacular views. Fuengirola, Benalmadena and Torremolinos and the city of Malaga are all within a 25-minute drive to the east. Marcella and Puerto Banes are 10 minutes to the west. Beyond are Estopona and Gibraltar (90 mines) from where you can take a ferry-trip to Morocco.
