Great for families, with water parks, zoos, theme parks a 10 min drive away. Spoilt for choice for restaurants. The quaint port at Cabopino is a 20 min walk with boat trips & water sports, or the famous Puerto Banus a 30 min drive. Marbella & Fuengirola only 15 minutes drive. Alternatively there is culture, theatres and beautiful peaceful areas for walking in the hills and mountains. Something for everyone.

Our villa has many comfy chairs, sofas inside & outside, to make your holiday very relaxing. All rooms look out to sea with stunning, south facing views & lead onto extensive patios. There are three sets of double doors in the lounge & dining area, opening onto the large downstairs covered patio which offers protection from the sun & allows gentle breezes to cool the rooms. Upstairs, all 3 double rooms lead onto the south facing sun terraces with amazing sea views.
There is a double room with ensuite downstairs which opens directly onto the patio area, pool and double daybed, again facing south with wonderful sea and garden views.
The kitchen is well fitted and has a breakfast bar for 2-3 people. There is also a downstairs cloakroom.
The villa is very private. The view from the rear kitchen window looks up to the hills with a very old finca and wild horses half way up. This is a lovely walk with views to Gibraltar and Africa. Alternatively walk down to Cabopino driving range, club or the port. On leaving the villa through the electric gates, you can walk south, north or west and enjoy fabulous views. If you walk east, you get to the other side of Calahonda with more shops.

The villa is in a peaceful area & has a security gate and parking for a number of cars in the drive. The garden is barely overlooked, with grass areas & swimming pool; a separate bbq area with table & 6 chairs. The double canopied daybed looking out to sea across the garden & pool is a favourite spot for relaxing. The extensive patio areas garden level are great for alfresco dining whilst all bedrooms upstairs lead onto sun terraces.

Costa del Sol boasts a warm climate all year round making it one of the most popular destinations in Europe, even in winter you can have hot days. Or maybe you fancy ski-ing in the Sierra Nevadas with ski runs for all levels & village with ski hire, shops & bars for the winter months.
Costa del Sol offers long stretches of sandy beaches from Calahonda to Puerto Banus dotted with many beach bars. World class golf courses & all water sports. Wide variety of restaurants and fantastic night life.
Culture, architecture, museums, theatres are available in Malaga, Marbella, Seville, Cordoba, Cadiz & Gibraltar, Granada. There are many beautiful Andalucian white villages to visit or even take a trip to Morroco.
Wonderful hills and mountain areas for walking. Costa del Sol offers so much.
The Calahonda area
Jardines de Calahonda is a very quiet, well kept area of Calahonda with lovely gardens; a park & garden centre all within an 8 -10 minute walk. This area is to the west of Calahonda and next to Cabopino Golf Course with its lakes & mountain views & often views across the sea to Africa & Gibraltar. A variety of shops are also within an 8-10 minute walk downhill also 24 hour doctors & chemists. The excellent Costa del Sol hospital is only a 15 minute drive.
Walk to the beach either straight down to Las Lunas beach bar (10 mins) or alternatively walk around the golf course to Cabopino beach and port. (15-20 mins).
Many sports facilities, such as the Costa del Sol Sports Club for tennis, squash etc. Cabopino Golf Course, driving range and water sports & trips out to see dolphins

* BY CAR HIRE - we would recommend Eurocar which is associated with Easyjet. Alternatively in the airport itself car hire companies called Autos Lido; Gold Car and Arabesque are available. We recommend one member of the party goes down to the car hire booths in the airport and gets the documentation; while others collect the bags. This saves a lot of time in the busy periods with long queues at the car rental booths.

We were a group of six adults, family and friends, of mixed ages. The location was quiet and facilities very good - weather was excellent and most days were spent relaxing by the pool with visits locally to some very good restaurants. Car hire/taxis were necessary but local walks were enjoyable. The villa was very comfortable and we all said we would go back again! |

The villa is situated on the edge of a beautiful peaceful estate and over looks the Med with a fantastic South facing garden. The swimming pool is great and big enough for a swim and safe enough for the children to play in. Our girls are 2, 6 and 9 and the had a fantastic time and would have been happy to stay in the villa for the entire holiday. We had four adults and three children and there was still plenty of room for more!! The villa is close (2-3 mins by car, 10 on foot) to large supermarkets and beautiful beaches as well as a lovely port...sorry the name escapes me! The location of Calahonda is great and in easy reach of a number great places to visit including Marbella (old town is beautiful), Malaga, Puerto Banus, Nerja, Torre Del Mar to name but a few - the roads are fantastic and allow easy and quick access to all of these places. The owners of this villa, Pam and Barry were lovely, really helpful and very accomodating. They made our first foreign family holiday a real pleasure. If you do like the look of this villa be quick in booking it because I've told all my friends and family how wonderful it is!!!! We would definately love to stay at this villa again..... |
