Electricity is supplied by coin meter, cost is 2-4 euro a day with normal use of Air Con and heating. Rental prices have been kept very low to reflect this
The Costa del Sol region
For nightlife you could not be better situated with hundreds of superb restaurants and bars at very reasonable prices close by. About 10 mins drive away you are in Fuengirola with it town, shops, bars and long sandy beach or a 20 min drive in the other direction you can be on the 'Golden Mile' of Marbella or Puerto Banus. where you can mix with the rich and famous. You can explore the beautiful Marinas at Benalmadena or Cabopino, then check out the beach life at Nikki Beach (10 mins away at Elveria), or finally shop until you drop in central Marbella. A trip to Gibraltar is well worth the 60 min drive if you can’t manage without Marks and Spencer for more than a week plus cigarettes and alcohol are even cheaper than Spain. (NO VAT, Don't forget to take your passport) To keep the children happy why not visit the huge water park, or zoo at Fuengirola, while 10 minutes drive further on they have Sea World Centre or Selwo Dolphins at Benalmadena and Tivoli World or the Crocodile Park.
The Calahonda / Princess Park area
Calahonda beach is 5 min drive, lots of excellent beaches within 10 min drive (Cabapino, La Cala etc). where even in high season there is plenty of room on the beaches and car parking is either on the beach or very close by
Most have fish restaurants on the beach and local caught sardines are cooked on their Wood Burning Bar-b-q as well as full meals, tapas, and drinks.

Me and my partner hired a car from the airport which costed next to nothing and made the 15-20minute journey from the airport along the motorway. The scenery is picture perfect and we cant wait to come back and explore more. Night life was absolutely amazing although it is not in walking distance which for us was a perk as we sometimes find it too noise being so close to the strip/ harbour.
