From the coast a short drive into the hills will take you into traditional Andalucia with the white washed villages of Ojen, Istan and Mijas. There are many attractions for all the family including water parks, theme parks, zoos, golf and water sports all a short drive away. About a 15 minute drive from the apartment will take you to Fuengirola or Marbella in the opposite direction plus many more places of interest to see.
