There is also a leisure club and tennis courts just across the road from the complex. The apartment is furnished to a good quality and has large patio doors from the lounge/diner leading to a large terrace with a dining table and chairs. The terrace provides excellent views to the golf course and provides a private and relaxed area to enjoy the sun. The apartment is very close to the main car park and the largest of 3 pools but there are 2 further pools a very short walk from the apartment also. There are 2 bedrooms, one double and a twin bedded room. There is also a double sofa bed in the lounge to provide further sleeping potential. The apartment is in a quiet area of the complex and provides a fabulous base for a relaxed and secure holiday.

The Calahonda Golf resort is a recognised and prestigious development of around 100 apartments. The properties benefit from a secure gated entrance as well as a 9 hole golf course, clubhouse with excellent restaurant and balcony dining overlooking the golf course and 3 excellent swimming pools. The complex contains a mixture of owners and holiday makers and the communal gardens and areas are extremely well maintained and the entire development is very clean, secure and picturesque.

The Costa del Sol region
The Costa del Sol is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world: it offers over 320 days of sunshine per year and some of the best beaches anywhere in Spain. It also contains almost 50 golf courses, many of them being top quality, along its coast and is a mecca for any standard of golfer looking to enjoy some sunshine Gollf!
Families are superbly catered for and welcomed in the area which offers theme parks, water parks, go-karting, safari parks and many beautiful public gardens.
The nightlife is also excellent all along the coast and of particular relevance are Benalmadena's Puerto Marina & '24-hour square' and Puerto Banus in Marbella. Both are very trendy and chic!
The area really is a wonderful place for all ages to enjoy the sunshine, relaxation and fabulous Spanish culture at whichever pace they decide to!
The area's infrastructure is well organized with the new Autopista del Sol providing access from Malaga to Estepona and beyond to Gibraltar. The old N-340 coastal road (now also called the A-7) is a little slower but offers some lovely sea views as it winds its way along the coast. Links between Granada, Seville and Cordoba are easily accessible for those wishing to venture further inland. The International airport has regular flights to most major cities, and is located just 10 minutes from Malaga City centre and within 30 minutes by car from most other popular resorts on the coast.
The Calahonda / Sitio de Calahonda area
Calahonda sits mid-way between Marbella and Fuengirola on the Costa Del Sol It is just over 40kms from Malaga airport and is a very short transfer time from the airport (approx 25 mins).
The area is very picturesque and secure and is very well serviced for Supermarkets, Restaurants, Banks, Medical Centres, Pharmacies, Gift shops and many Beach bars and entertainment venues. There is a beach and 3 main shopping areas- El Zoco, Los Cipresses and Los Olivios, all with large supermarkets including Mercadona, Lidl and Supersol.
The area also benefits from a Leisure centre and tennis courts which is directly across the road from the apartment.
Health care needs are provided for by 2 chemists and three medical centres, offering 24 hour service. The top class Hospital Costa del Sol is also just minutes from Calahonda.

Fly to Malaga - Cheap flights are available from most budget Airlines. Calahonda is only a short 25 minute transfer from Malaga Airport and is extremely well serviced providing car hire, taxi transfers, train and bus services.

Although this was only a short break I thoughly enjoyed the location and stay at the apartment. Ideal position and only a short walk to shops and bars/restaurants, the apartment is spacious and very clean and the beds very comfortable with all the mod cons needed for a comfortable stay.
