Home description
A haven for families, groups and golfers, located a short walk from Cala Vinyes beach and a 5 minute drive to Poniente golf resort, with a choice of other secluded beaches and golf resorts within 10 mins drive. Enjoying prime position on a quiet road yet with major attractions, bars, restaurants, nightlife, shops and amenities in easy reach. A regualr convenient bus service to Palma town stops directly outside the Villa.
The Villa is in the style of a traditional Mallorcan Country home with stables and a water well in the property, terracotta roof tiling and tiled flooring throughout. The original electric cooling fan systems have been retained, but with air conditioning installed to the main lounge and dining area, the master bedroom, and the 5th bedroom suite. ideal for enjoying everything Mallorca has to offer, while families and groups can simply choose to enjoy their own pool and tennis/basketball court, or fire up the traditional spanish barbecue for al fresco dining either poolside or from one of the several terraces, with beautiful sea and sunset views.

The Mallorca/Majorca region
Mallorca is established as the premier Island holiday destination in Europe, with something for everyone. The bustle and nightlife of the major resorts contrasts with unspoilt secluded beaches, and stunning scenery, fashionable marinas for the jet-set, and villages like Valdemossa and Deia which are steeped in history, with the cosmopolitan and beautiful City of Palma, including the Cathedral and old Town, being a real gem. In recent years Mallorca has become a celebrity hotspot, with stars such as Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones, Boris Becker, Claudia Schiffer, and Andrew Lloyd-Weber choosing the island for their holiday homes.
Villa Miramar is ideally located for enjoying the attractions, amenities and nightlife in the nearby resorts such as Santa Ponsa, yet sufficiently secluded for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Sailing, golf, horse-riding, go-kart racing, and major water-parks are all nearby. By car, the furthest point on the Island can be reached within 3 hours. Mallorca is also a major cycling detination, and there are dedicated cycle ways offering safe and enjoyable biking holidays running alongside the coastal roads and between the resort areas.
Golfers are spoilt for choice. In addition to the local Poniente course, Bendinat, Santa Ponsa, and Son Vida golf resorts are all within 20 minutes drive.
Cala Vinyas area
Do something new and different every day, or just enjoy sun and sand at Cala Vinyes beach. Kids and parents will love the choices. Western Water Park and Aqua Park, plus the Karting track are all within 10 minutes walk, as is the Island's top rated show "Pirates", offering family entertainment for all. The Casino de Mallorca is a 5 minute drive. Or take the bus along the coast or into Palma Town, it's cheap, fast, and reliable. And in Palma, after lunch at the Plaza Mayor, maybe ride Europe's newest and most modern underground train, or take the scenic ride to Soller on one of europe's oldest trains !
As well as the local beach of Cala Vinyes and the lively beaches of the nearby resorts, there are a host of small, and little known coves and beaches to explore between Cala Vinyes and Cala Vells, including a naturist beach, all within a 10 minute drive.
How to get there
Mallorca is very cosmopolitan, attracting many different nationalities and tourists who visit year after year. Palma is a fabulous city with the Gaudi-esque cathedral as its centre point, great shopping and restaurants for every budget. The island caters for every taste, whether it is golfing breaks, relaxing winter breaks, family holidays on the beach, or romantic breaks away, you cannot fail to be seduced by its intrinsic charm.
Mallorca is served by a range of low cost airlines, charter flights, BA and Iberia, with flights from most regional airports. Easyjet has several flights a day from a range of airports.

Further details indoors: The Villa is traditional spanish in design, cool in summer and warm in winter, with the benefit of hot and cold air conditioning to the main living and dining area, and to two bedrooms. There is additional electric fan cooling to other bedrooms. There is an open log fire for winter use. The lounge/dining area is light and airy, with windows to 3 sides, and a separate kitchen. There is a cocktail bar in the lounge. There are 3 large double bedrooms and a smaller double bedroom. The Villa also benefits from a converted double garage with air conditioning and en-suite shower/btoiletfacilities, offering additional sleeping area, or can be used as a gym or children's play area. (There is an additional charge for this accommodation).
Telephone, fax and internet are only available for long term rentals, as a contract with the Telephone Company is required.
The original owner had stables built within the grounds, and there is generally a country ambience about the Villa.
Further details outdoors: The Villa is ideal for outside living and al-fresco dining. There are a number of terraces for dining. There is also a large roof terrace with panoramic views. Immediately outside the lounge is a covered terrace with sea and sunset views, ideal for breakfast and cocktails. The Gardens are beautifully planted with a variety of Mediterranean plants and trees including bourganvilla, roses, orange, lemon, olive, and fig trees, giving splendid colour to the property. Guests are welcome to help themselves to figs and olives in season. The tennis court doubles as a basketball court and general play area for kids of all ages. The property is completely enclosed on all sides and is entered through remote control gates, ensuring toddlers are safe to run around, and with ample off-street covered parking.
The tennis court is slightly smaller than a full size court which is a consideration for those seeking a mainly tennis holiday. (Rackets and balls are not supplied). The local fitness club provides pay and play tennis with a number of clay courts.
Although in an elevated position, it is generally possible, if needed, to navigate the Villa without using the steps. We do not however recommend the Villa for wheelchair users. 50 ft sailing Yacht available for charter at extra cost. sleeps 11. enquire when booking.
Further details
Guests may pre-order Hampers and fresh flowers which will be delivered to the property. Additional housekeeping and laundry services can also be arranged during your stay. The Villa is cleaned and serviced between each booking, with a weekly clean for multi-week guests. Additional cleaning can be booked at €15 per hour.
There is a utility room with automatic washing machine which will be adequate for most guests.
If you have any special or unusual needs, e.g for wheelchair hire or for a child buggy, please advise us when booking. There will be a local charge for additional items and services by the local service provider. Please enquire locally.
Conditions
50% of rental fee with order. Balance plus a £300 refundable deposit to cover damage/breakages payable 6 weeks prior to rental date.
The Villa is non-smoking except on terraces and outside areas.
There will be a supplementary charge of £30 per person per week for each additional guest over 8 people. If guests require the air conditioned accommodation in the converted garage, there is an additional charge of £300 per week, and the additional guest supplement does not apply.

For parties exceeding 8 people there is an additional charge of £30 per person per week for each additional person. There is an additional charge of £300 per week for parties wishing to use the separate air conditioned accomodation available in the converted double garage, in which case the €30 per person supplement does not apply.

A fully refundable deposit of £300 is required to cover any damage or breakages. This is returned following a satisfactory inventory check by our local agent.
Telephone, wireline internet and Fax are available for long term rentals (minimum of 3 months). Internet cafes are readily available nearby. Short term guests requiring internet access from the Villa will require their own wireless modem and a service arrangement with a mobile operator.
