Home description

This is a first floor apartment with air conditioning situated in a residential complex in beautiful Cala Sant Vicente on the north coast of Majorca in the next bay to Puerto Pollensa. The area is well known by walkers and bird watchers and the north of the island is a favourite, especially in Spring and Autumn with bikers.
The apartment is approximately 500 metres from the superb sandy beaches of Cala Molins and Cala Barques with their turquoise waters.

The apartment comprises living-dining room (with satellite television/DVD, music system), kitchen (with dishwasher, glass ceramic hob and full oven, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, full size fridge freezer, microwave, crockery and cutlery) with access to the laundry room (with washing machine, iron and ironing board, electric water heater), master double bedroom (has access on to the balcony) and twin bedroom .Both have built in wardrobes. There is one full bathroom and a separate shower room.

Close by there are several hotels that offer evening entertainment plus a variety of restaurants and bars with a wide range of menus. There is a supermarket, hairdresser, doctor and bank all within easy walking distance. The apartment has been recently re-furbished and is comprehensively equipped.

The Mallorca/Majorca region

Cala San Vincente is one of the smallest resorts on the island but still offers a fantastic retreat for couples and families alike. The scenery along most of the North West coast of Majorca is rugged and dramatic, and Cala San Vincent is no different. The resort has three beaches, Cala Barques is the largest and prettiest of the three, offering visitors the choice of a few small restaurants, bars and shops, and there are usually ample sun beds, beach umbrellas and pedaloes for hire there too.

From Cala Barques if you take the path around the rocky knoll you'll find the tiny beach of Cala Clara. This beach, although being less than 100m from Cala Barques, is often very crowded during the summer due to its close proximity to one of the few hotels in the resort.

The third beach, Cala Molins, further round the sizeable headland, is the most popular beach for bathers due to its fine sands. What most visitors may not know, and perhaps may not care, is each year this beach is supplemented with imported sand. The sea around Cala San Vincente is beautifully clear and from all of the beaches the views over towards the cliffs of the Formentor peninsula are
There's a selection of good quality restaurants in the area. Here's our list so far (please get in contact to let us know about the ones we've missed!

Modesto (situated on Calle Del Torrente) - Top of our list because we love it so much! Fantastic barbecued fish and steak (probably not the best place for vegetarians!) and exceptionally friendly staff. The kitchen is open so you can even watch what's going on. In the evening the place is lit up wonderfully. Perfect.

Bistro Mar (formerly Bistro Balaixa) - Arnie and Mandy own, and make everyone welcome to, their great restaurant. The menu is varied and includes curry, tapas, pasta, lamb etc.

L'Alba (situated on Carrer del Torrent) - Perfectly located to sit and watch the world go by, right in front of Cala Molins bay - lovely fresh fish and barbecued meat. Great lunchtime snack menu.

If you want more activity, Pollensa has a wide range of water sports - scuba diving, sailing & windsurfing plus the opportunity to charter boats and take trips around the coves interspersed by stunning cliffs. And when you've finished your day of exertion - you can retreat to your new home from home to enjoy the sunset and warm evening.
