Cala San Vicente area
Cala San Vincente is one of the smaller, lesser known resorts on the island. The village itself is part of the municipal district of Pollensa on the north west coast of the island, approximately 62km north of the capital Palma and 5km north west of Pollensa old town. We are pleased to be able to offer a wide selection of private rental villas in Cala San Vincente.
Even before the arrival of the tourists to Majorca in the early 1960's, the municipal district of Pollenca was one of the wealthiest areas on the island.
Traditionally this part of Majorca has strong links with both farming and fishing, and even today Cala San Vincente is still essentially a fishing village that has made limited concessions to the island's tourist trade. One of these concessions being, that you share the beach with the local fishermen who still use part of it for repairing their nets and storing goods. Much of the village is residential, and you will always have the feeling of being an invited, but welcome guest, to another way of life.
The scenery along most of the north west coast of Majorca is rugged and dramatic, and Cala San Vincente is no different. The resort has three beaches, Cala Barques is the largest and prettiest of the three, offering visitors the choice of a few small restaurants, bars and shops, and there's usually ample sun beds, beach umbrellas and pedaloes for hire. From Cala Barques there is a path around the rocky knoll to the tiny beach of Cala Clara. This beach being less than 100m from Cala Barques. Finally, the third beach called Cala Molins, further round the headland, is the most popular beach for bathers due to its fine sands. The sea around Cala San Vincente is beautifully clear and from all of the beaches the views over towards the cliffs of the Formentor peninsula are spectacular.
Cala San Vicente offers several fantastic walks progressing through the stunning countryside or visiting the nearby Bronze Age caves. There is a weekly Inca market a short distance from the resort. Just a few kilometres from Cala San Vicente the old town of Pollensa offers artistic cafes, narrow streets and picturesque buildings.

Further details indoors: The accommodation is on two levels and comprises briefly, on the ground floor of a very spacious lounge / dining room with air-conditioning unit. Entertainment is provided here by a Flat Panel Satellite TV, DVD Player and a Stereo system. Patio doors from the sitting and dining areas lead to the pool area. Next to the dining area is an impressive breakfast kitchen which benefits from modern appliances including a dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge freezer, electric oven, ceramic hob and extractor fan unit. Also on the ground floor there is the master double bedroom with en-suite ‘Spa’ bathroom, fitted wardrobes and double patio doors to the pool area. There is also a twin bedroom and a separate shower room on this level. Stairs from the living room lead up to a spacious ‘L’ shaped landing / sitting area where there is an enclosed wood burner and a second Satellite TV. Two sets of double doors give access to a large first floor balcony. On this level there is a double bedroom, with full length picture window, a twin bedroom and a family bathroom having a bath and separate shower cubical. All the bedrooms have built in wardrobes and bedside tables with reading lights. This modern villa is decorated, equipped and furnished to a high standard throughout making idea for our most discerning clientele. The photos say it all.
Further details outdoors: Outside, the two sets of patio doors give access to the wooden decked sun terrace that surrounds the 9m x 4m swimming pool, which has roman steps for easy access and a poolside shower. Sun beds, patio furniture and parasols are supplied along with a portable Barbecue for ‘Alfresco’ dining. The full length first floor balcony is ideal for relaxing and taking in the mountain views. The villa has well maintained, mature gardens with numerous shrubs, plants and lawns. The old town of Pollensa, and Pollensa Golf Course are just a few minutes drive away as too are the resorts of Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia. The convenient location of this superb villa makes it an idea destination for a relaxing holiday.
