The Balearic Islands region

Ibiza is the third largest island of the Balearic archipelago. Together with Formentera it forms the so-called Pitiusas Islands. Its capital city, Eivissa, is known for its port and the Renaissance walls that surround the medieval city (Dalt Vila), which has recently been declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1999. It is also renowned throughout the world for its night-life and varied cuisine. The second big town is Sant Antoni de Portmany with its spectacular bay.

Ibiza has over 18 kilometres of beaches to suit all tastes: beaches for all the family, for sport, solitude, for naturism and tranquillity, and beaches with deep water or shallow water suitable for children. Quiet and almost virgin beaches with crystal-clear waters.

The island's orography and diverse landscapes, not to mention the benefits afforded by its climate, make Ibiza an ideal place to enjoy trips and excursions or simply to go for walks.

Cala Port des Torrent

Cala Port des Torrent is a quiet cala "cove" with crystal-clear waters and white sand, in full nature whit conifer trees. The apartment is in the same cala. There is a small restaurant and one "chiringuito" and you can play all water sports

"Lovely little apartment, close to beach."

It was a really lovely little apartment, with a balcony and roof terrace, which had a sun lounger, umbrella and hose to cool down with. There were lovely views of the cove below and it was great to go… More

"great apartment"

Just back from a 1 week stay at this lovely apartment. We traveled with 2 children 6 & 9 and the accommodation had ample space for us. There is a bedroom with 2 single beds and a main living room/kitchen that has a sofabed and pull out bed that can join together. The roof terrace is a fabulous addition. Only issue we had was that there was the toaster didnt work and there was no aircon so it was a little warm at night (but there are a couple of fans that help) The apartment is situated in a fantastic location. There are shops, some nice restaurants and transport (bus and ferry) very close by, although you have to travel further afield if you are after more in the way of clubbing (discobus goes regularly from a nearby stop but takes an hour to get into San Antinio). The beach (2min walk) had a good mix of all nationalities (not too many brits) and is beautiful with calm waters. It was also relatively quiet (compared to the nearby Cala Bassa which I wouldnt recommend in the busy season as it was very over crowded). We had a day at the local water park (attached to a nearby hotel 10mins walk from the apartment) which was great fun for the kids but a little expensive (approx 50euros for a family of 4). Went to hippy market in Es Cana (on every wednesday) which is worth a trip but probably best going by boat rather than bus as you have to change twice and it was quite a long journey. Go by boat instead of bus if you do go (a little more expensive but more fun and less hassle). The beach bar near the apartment is great with fantastic mojito's served against a setting sun. The apartment itself is looked after by Fabricio who is incredibly helpful and welcoming. All in all, a great venue for a family holiday. definitely recommended.

"vacanza incantevole"

"Ideal family holiday spot"

it was perfect for us as we have 2 children and aren't interested in partying, just relaxing. view of the bay was fantastic all hours of the day thanks to the great light of the island. roof terrace ideal for breakfast and looking at stars at night. the beach only a short walk away with nice restaurants and couple of shops. we rented a car as we wanted to see as many calas as possible and everything is maximum an hour drive away.
confortable beds and fairly equipped.
Very reccomendable.

"Very Nice retreat"

A bit out of San Antonio so not for a group of 18yr old party-animals wanting to be in the thick of it. Access is via the beach (only 200 yards along a pleasant little path on the rocks) as its about a mile around the road-way to get there. Busses (1.60Euro) to either San an or Ibiza Town/Airoport run 24/7 from just up the road and the water taxi is literally £100 yards from the door for 6Euro ea return so well located for those who want to be out of town [but close enough to party occasionally]. Great beach of Port De Torrant 200yard walk (same way as access to busses etc) with a choice of 3 or 4 restaurants. The Roof terrace of the apartment is great with fantastic peaceful view and a hosepipe to cool off constantly so came back with a cracking Tan. Coffee every morning on the little terrace was great. Apartment was very clean and neat and even though it only has 1 bedroom, 2 more on the sofabed in the dining area won't be a problem. Disco Bus drop off is very close - a few hundred yards. We were at Mambo every night and if you feel in the mood for a taxi, 5Euro from San An to Port de Torrent so no cheap enough not to worry about busses. Good value for 2 - great value for 4 part time party go-ers- although I was in san ant every night apart from 1 night when i was in Ibiza town.
