Our Villa is a 5 minute walk to the town centre, with numerous restaurants, bars and shops and 5 minutes to the stunning Cova den Xoroi, with its restaurants, bars and famous nightclub. The beautiful beach at Cala’n Porter is a 10 minute walk from the Villa and can be reached by steps, a 15 minute walk avoiding the steps or by car (the large car park is free). The large clean sandy beach is enclosed by high cliffs, with beach bars, restaurants and shops. You can hire sun beds, parasols and pedaloes. The Villa has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, 2 of which are en-suite. The pool and terrace area are south-west facing and gets sunshine all day with stunning views of the sunset in the evening, ideal for al-fresco dining. There is a large lounge and dining area with patio doors to spacious terrace area and private pool, as well as a fully fitted and equipped kitchen/breakfast room. Completed in December 2007, this is the last of 12 newly built properties and is furnished to a high standard which offers all the expected 'mod cons' including air-conditioning, a full Sky TV package, DVD/CD player and internet access.

The Menorca region
Menorca is the second largest of the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea off the South East coast of Spain and its coastline has over 100 beautiful clean sandy coves and beaches. Menorca has a wealth of history with the two main towns of Mahon, which boasts one of the biggest natural harbours in the world, and the old capital of Ciutadella with its Georgian architecture and over 500 places of historic interest on the island. Menorca is only 44km long and 14km wide, so no journey by road is more than an hour. The island has a water park near the town of Cala'n Bosch and you can do go-kart racing, trotting racing, horse riding, and boat trips from a number of places around Menorca. Market days in Mahon are on Tuesday and Saturday mornings and Cala’n Porter has a small market in the evenings twice a week. The restaurants in the Port of Mahon are wide ranging and open till late. If you do wish to explore the island and visit one of the 100 beautiful beaches and the historic town of Ciutadella, hire a car for a few days!

Restaurants, shops, supermarkets, a pharmacy, taxi rank, hairdressers, internet cafe, bus stops, car hire companies, cash points and currency exchange are all within walking distance. The caves at Cova den Xoroi are a 5 minute walk with restaurants, bars, famous nightclub and stunning views. The beautiful beach at Cala’n Porter is a 10 minute walk from the Villa and can be reached by steps, by car (the large car park is free), or by tourist road train which has several drop-off points and runs late into the evening. The large clean sandy beach is enclosed by high cliffs, with beach bars, restaurants and shops. You can hire sun beds, parasols and pedaloes.
How to get there
Fly to Mahon - Villa Alicia is just 14 km from the airport. Cheap flights are available from Monarch.co.uk, Thomsonfly.com and Easyjet.co.uk from most UK airports to Mahon airport. Car hire available from all the usual companies, most of which are located at the airport in Mahon. There are always local taxis available - the fare should be no more than 20 euros and the journey should take around 15 minutes.

All bedrooms have built in wardrobes with a chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and bedside lamps. En-suite bathroom to Bedroom 1 with bath/shower, WC, bidet and basin. En-suite bathroom to Bedroom 2 with shower, WC and basin. Separate family shower room with WC and basin. The kitchen is equipped with a fitted oven, hob and extractor, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron, ironing board, airers and hairdryer. There is a breakfast table and 4 chairs. Fully supplied with place settings for up to 12 people. The spacious living area has a large 3 seater settee & 2 seater settee. Air-conditioning, flatscreen TV, full Sky TV package, DVD/CD player. TV table and coffee table. Dining table & 6 chairs. Children's table and 2 chairs. Patio door leading to terrace area.
Further details outdoors: There are 10 steps from street level to front of the Villa. The Villa itself is split level with 1 step between living and sleeping areas. There are no steps from the terrace area to the sun bathing and pool area. The pool and terrace area are located at the back of the Villa which is private and not overlooked. There are 6 sun loungers, a terrace table, 6 chairs, 4 parasols and a free-standing barbecue. The swimming pool has 3 steps leading in and then slopes to a gradual depth of approx 2m. The pool is fully maintained and an attendant will visit twice a week. The Villa is fenced and gated for safety and security and is children friendly.
Further details
The Villa will be thoroughly cleaned for your arrival, all beds freshly made. Linen, bath towels and hand towels are provided and are changed weekly. Please take your own personal and beach towels. No smoking inside the Villa under any circumstances please. Ashtrays are provided for use outside the Villa.
Conditions
Fridays are the normal day for changeover in Menorca. On day of arrival the Villa will be ready for you by 4pm. On your day of departure, the Villa is to be vacated by 10am. Changeover day is flexible in April & October.
