About the home

A newly built modern villa in 2008, which caters for up to six persons with large living accommodation. It is equipped with everything and more than you need for your family holiday. The villa is furnished to a high standard and is centrally located to all local shops, bars, restaurants and is close to the beach.

The villa has its own large swimming pool with sun terrace and eating area . Furnished with sun beds and dining table & chairs. The sun terrace is fully tiled with nice maintained gardens and good size BBQ for your convenience. From the eating area you can enjoy lovely views.

The villa is a single story building with white wash walls with tiled kitchen & bathrooms. It has a spacious lounge/ dining area with a separate fully fitted kitchen. The main bedroom has en-suite facilities with ample storage space and a fitted in safe for valuables. The other bedroom are also doubles, again with ample storage and share a modern bathroom. All tastefully decorated.

Highchairs can be arranged for you to hire at an extra cost but one travel cot is provided with the villa.

Conditions

Our letting weeks run from Friday to Friday, which coincides with the majority of flights in and out of the island, whilst we cannot arrange your flights (as we are not authorised) there are many travel agents and organizations that can. Check the travel section of the weekend newspapers. You can also use the internet and teletext.

The Menorca region

Visitors to the villa will find that their holiday in Menorca will be very pleasant, as the island still remains tranquil and unspoilt and there is a very relaxing atmosphere with many scenic attractions. The island is only 30 miles long and 12 miles across at it's widest point. To make the most of this beautiful island you should consider hiring a car as driving in Menorca is pleasant and easy and it's a great way to enjoy effortless sightseeing. However, car hire is not necessary in Cala'n Porter as it benefits from a bus service to Mahon and you can purchase tours and excursions from the local supermarkets should you wish to do so. There are 120 beaches on the island most of them empty and offer safe coves for children. The island is equally appealing to all kinds of people including ; walkers, nature lovers and sun seekers there are sports facilities available such as wind surfing, sailing, sub aqua sports, gof, tennis and horse riding.

The Cala'n Porter area

Casa Talser Villa is well located in the resort; the gentle shelving beach of Cala'n Porter is a mere 10 minute walk away. Just a short stroll from the villa will take you to the resort centre where you can find a good selection of bars and restaurants that cater for most tastes including; Italian, Chinese, Pizzeria & fish restaurants, as well as those that serve the tempting Mediterranean dishes. For self catering there are a number of supermarkets in the resort offering butchers, deli counters, bakeries and fresh fruit and vegetables; you can even have free delivery from your local village store to your door.

The villa is close to all amenities however, Cala'n Porter is not noisy by any means and evening entertainment is centred on pavement cafes, local restaurants and friendly bars. There is also a Thompson Super Family complex for those looking for a more lively evening with professional acts, live music and dancing several nights a week and everybody is welcome, this is ideal for those with younger children.

If that is not enough then there is nightly entertainment in a couple of bars including live acts, karaoke and family quizzes or there is always the famous Caves of Xoroi which are carved into the rugged rock face , during the daytime this is paradise and is a beautiful place, to have a drink and waste away a few hours overlooking the sea and if you stay long enough you can watch the most spectacular sun sets, in the evening the Caves of Xoroi turns into a disco. There is something for everyone in Cala'n Porter.

Price reductions can be arranged for less people sharing only on certain weeks and last minute bookings can be looked at.

We ask for £100 per booking week reservation fee none refundable and then a 50% payment due in January of the year of your holiday and then final payment 8 weeks before you leave for your holiday.

Payment by cheque or cash to T Slater or we can arrange a bank transfer.

We have an English management company who look after customers, should they need anything.
