The lounge has a large corner chocolate brown leather Sofa very comfortable!!, the dining area has seating for 6, and a open plan well equipped kitchen fully fitted. There are 3 spacious twin bedrooms with large fitted wardrobes & bedside draws providing ample storage for your belongings. The master bedroom offers en-suite facilities and the other 2 bedrooms share a lovely bathroom/shower room. We offer excellent standards and facilities which include full size beds, good mattresses, for a perfect nights sleep after all you have come rest and get a way from it all so comfy beds are important!! we also have lovely bed coverings quality sheets and towels for your use.

There is a large swimming pool with Roman steps into the water at the shallow end making it safe for children to enjoy. We have a lovely B.B.Q by the pool offering al fresco dining at its finest and this beautiful Villa also boast a roof top terraced with spectacular sea views, this is also gated for safety of the children, up there you will find sun loungers and cushions are provided for them and a table and chairs to make the most of the sun sets and this lovely private setting. This is a great escape and relaxing place to be, lovely to take lunch up their and it offers amazing views.

Although the island boasts many attractions beauty and tranquillity are it's characteristic attributes.

Cala'n Porter a lovely small Spanish Village which has developed in to areas of tourist, its very low key and not noisy by any means, an evenings entertainment is centred on local restaurants and friendly bars. If you want a little more then its there, you can also find professional acts, live music and dancing also family quiz nights and boozy bingo if required. We have a great children's play area with bar facilities where mum and dad can relax while the children play. In the main season we have small market that vistts a couple of times a week. Cala'n Porter is also home to a lovely safe and sandy beach as well as the famous Caves of Xoroi their you can relax and enjoy the most spectacular views and see the most beautiful sun sets. Just by the Caves of Xoroi you will find the cliff walks, which take you to Calas Coves. All this is just a short stroll from Villa Rioja, there is something for everyone in Cala'n Porter.

“fantastic villa and resort, perfect for families.”
This was my second stay at villa rioja and once again we found it perfect for the needs of a family. We now have a new addition to the family, and found it very easy to pack for our baby as most equipment is already at the villa. We loved the pool area, the quiet location and the east walking distance to the resort centre. We will book this villa again when we return to Menorca for a third time.

“Great villa”
A lovely villa in a lovely location. From start to finish the owners could not be more helpful they have thought of everything and truly set out to make sure your holiday experience is a good one. The villa is lovely, in a great location, very clean and well presented it's extremely well equipped with all little extras to make sure even if the weather isn't great you can stay in and enjoy the great facilities at Villa RiojaThe area is wonderful, lovely beach, nice restaurants and bars and a great transport network so you can easily visiti other places. I would definitely recommend this villa, it has it all.

“Fantastic villa in a good location.”
Located a five minute walk to Calan Porter's center, this villa has it all. A good size swimming pool, comfortable beds, air conditioning in the lounge/kitchen/dining area and barbecue area to the side of the pool. No competing for loungers either as there are plenty!
If you are interested in visiting Mahon do not go by public transport on a Tuesday as the buses become excessively crowded because of it being market day.
In Calan Porter you will find a number of bars and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed The Georgeus Bar Oliver (Happy Hour starts at 6pm) and Club Menorca (located on the cliff top at the entrance to the Bay). This Bar is just a short walk from the Villa and if you go, take your camera as there are super views. You can enjoy their Happy Hour (5pm - 6pm) when you can buy one get one free! If you wish to eat here my suggestion would be to book table three.
Two other places for eating would be Nelsons, but this is a short drive, or taxi, from Calan Porter.The other is In the center and is called Pito's. Here the food is of good quality and plentiful. In fact, if you wish to enjoy the Takeaway Menu, our suggestion would be to order two meals and this would adequately serve three or even four adults.
For those who enjoy walking, there are two main walks to and from Calan Porter. One starts at the back of the beach and will, if completed take you to Son Bou. This walk is about nine kilometres each way but of course you can cut the walk short. Please look out for tortoises and terrapins on your way. The other walk starts near the football ground and will take you to the cliffs overlooking Calas Coves where you can enjoy the views and the boats anchored in the Cove.
Finally if you need WiFi, this can be accessed free of charge at Merlin's Bar (near the Center).

“Fantastic Villa in great location”
We had a fantastic week at the villa. It was our first time abroad with our 10 month old son and the equipment in the villa and its central location made it a very enjoyable and hassle free trip! In fact we had such a great time that within days of returning we had already booked in for next year! (previous to this I had always holidayed on the basis of never visiting the same place twice!)
I would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone that wants to holiday in Menorca.

The villa had everything you could think of, spectacular views and spacious. It was a 10 minute walk to supermarket , cafe bars and restaurants. There is also beautiful views from the caves which is only 20 mins walk. Adele and Don have thought of everything to make your holiday special. Our time in the villa went quick, we were really sad to go home. We would love to go back next year.

“A VILLA NOT TO BE MISSED”
Villa Rioja in menorca is superb, we have just returned from there, the villa is only 15 minutes from aiport by taxi (18 erous). The villa is lovely and so well equiped. We were only in a party of two but we could see how much there was there for larger familes with children.The villa was spotless inside and out. We used the pool most days as the weather was very hot. We liked the added sercurity of there being a locked gate to the propery.If you were afamily with 3 or 4 children everything is there for you including baby and toddler toys.We used the outside area daily and ate out every day in the town. The main town area is only 5 minutes walk away. we shopped at the euro spar for odd bits and had lovely meals at Larengos and Pitos. Be warned the meals are huge at pitos.This was our 2nd visit to the resort and we found many more hidden bars and resaurants in the area.The beach is lovely but must admitt to getting taxi back up the steep hill. Dont look else where, villa Rioja was fantastic and so easy to book. Adele was so helpfull from beginning to end. Thanks for a great hoilday in your home from home..Wendy and Anthony

“Brilliant well equipped villa with stunning roof terrace views”
We have stayed in many villas in Cala ' n Porter & this was certainly one of the best ,it was very comfortable & home from home ,fully equipped kitchen for those that choose to eat in . The sofa was comfortable as were the beds. The roof terrace had a table & chairs & a couple of very comfy sunbeds,& a stunning view.the pool & terrace was also well furinshed .All in all a good holiday thanks very much Adele & Don ,& thankyou for showing us around your other villa ,was lovely to meet you & you could'nt have been more helpful . We are a family of 3 adults and 1 child (Toddler!).
We have stayed at Villa Rioja twice now and are booked to go again next June (2012).
The Villa has absolutely anything that you could possibly need. Even toys for the little one! Booking couldn't of been any easier. Communication with the Villa owner has been very easy and Don & Adele have always been so helpful. Going out of there way to make sure you have all that you need. It made going on holiday with a young toddler alot easier!! The pool is a lovely size and very easy to get in and out of, and there are lovely sea views from the roof terrace (which has a lockable gate at the bottom - a must for a curious child! - kept our minds at ease!). There is a BBQ there too which we made alot of use of. There is plenty of sunloungers for sunbathing both round the pool and on the sun terrace.
The Villa location is spot on, a short walk to the town centre, where there is a very good choice of restaurants, and only a short walk to the beach too.
I would recommend this Villa without a doubt, 2 lovely holidays have been had there so far and another planned - and we can't wait to go!

“A Wonderful Holiday”
Four adults stayed in Villa Rioja for two weeks. The Villa has everything to make your stay perfect. Outside the pool area has table and chairs and sun loungers which made for ideal lazy days. There is a rooftop terrace which, although we did not make a great deal of use of it, is great for some privacy. The stairs to the roof have a gate which can be locked so, is safe if you have children. The inside of the Villa has a fully fitted kitchen and I know it sounds sad but the washing machine was really appreciated as it allowed us to reduce the amount of luggage as we could wash and iron shorts, T - shirts etc There is a TV, DVD and CD player and lots of CDs and DVDs. There are also lots of books. Booking the Villa, and the contact we had with Adele and Don was all very positive. Adele phoned us a couple of days after we came home to check if we had enjoyed ourselves and if we had any feedback for her good or bad. Pleased to say nothing negative and we would be more than happy to return to Villa Rioja.

This was the5th time my family & i have rented various villas in calan en porter & villa rioja was by far the best & the cheapest!! Booking couldnt have been easier & adele the owner was extremely helpful & friendly.we had a late flight home & we were able 2 stay in the villa until midday which makes a difference when you have 4 children.The town of cala en porter is literally on your doorstep where there are lots of lovely restaurants & bars which are all child friendly.I would highly recommend both the villa & resort we shall definately be returning next year

“The perfect getaway for a relaxing holiday”
The villa was in a perfect location with local amenities and a sandy beach only minutes away. The villa is of a very high standard and fully equipped to ensure a very pleasant stay. Pool and pool area were very clean and well maintained and ideal for relaxing at the end of the day. A rooftop terrace and outdoor barbeque were also available as nice added features, with stunning views from the terrace. Local bars and restaurants were of a good standard and within easy walking distance. Entertainment available at local hotel was very good. Booking with the owners was very straight forward and all necessary documentaion, including car hire & directions to the villas, were emailed well in advance. We would highly recommend staying at this villa and will hopefully do so again soon. Top marks Adele & Don!!

“Could not have wished for better”
The villa is fantastic - full of home comforts, clean and well looked after. We took our 2 year old granddaughter - she loved it. All local amenities and the beach are easily within walking distance (10 minutes max). The owners could not have done more - they sent us all the necessary paperwork and details, even links to airport taxis. We met Adele when we were there, a very nice helpful person who realises that you are on holiday and tries her damndest to cater for all needs!! Some fantastic eateries, must try The Castle! Even the weather was good.

My family and I stayed at Villa Rioja in June 2011 and I have to say that the place was faultless. The villa itself was beautiful, clean and had everything you would need (even down to toys, changing mats and dvds for children). The pool was superb and was topped up on a regular basis. The view from the roof terrace is amazing and we quite often enjoyed sitting up there in the warm evenings enjoying a glass of wine. The location of the villa is perfect. Its within easy walking distance to the supermarkets and restaurants which I have to say are all lovely. Although the beach is within walking distance you do have to go down approximately 200 steps but let me say, it is well worth it. The sand and the sea are beautiful, very clean. I have been to Calen Porter 3 years on the trot now and I would definitely recommend this villa. On a final note, the booking of this villa could not be more simple and the owners are extremley friendly and helpful. Would love to go back again and stay in Villa Rioja.
