Siesta Mar apartments are situated on the edge of Cala n' Porter, near enough to stroll along and enjoy the activities but not too close to be of any nuisence.The main block Siesta Mar Two has the water slides and many activities for children to enjoy whilst the apartment is situated in the quieter Siesta Mar One with large pool and gardens, and play ground. This is an ideal location for a beach holiday and to enjoy discovering all the lovely ports, harbours, villages that make menorca one of the most unspoilt parts of Spain. You don't need a car but Menorca is far too beautiful not to! There are taxis and a bus stop only 300yrds away that will take you to Mahon the capital. No long journeys from airport before you start your hols!

The Menorca region
Menorca a beautiful little Island, 35 miles by 9 Miles so everywhere is accessible in a day, highest point Monte Toro 1000ft, 25 miles from Mallorca and 1000 miles from London. It is steeped in history pre historic monuments, the worlds second deepest natural harbour in Mahon after Pearl Harbour, the impact of French and English rule can be seen in the buildings and fortress around the Island. Boat trips from Mahon are a must, see the fantastic Fort Sant Felip,underground garrison and big gun, leper colonly that is now a hotel, enjoy the typical Menorquin Fiestas held every summer June-Sept where the famous horses parade and sample the local Gin in a Pomada. The Island is now well known for Mayonaise "Mayo", leather fantastic shoes,fashion jewellery and Mahon Gin and Cheese ,just beat the French cheese last year! Mahon harbour is fast becoming one of the trendy marinas to moor your yacht, the beaches are some of the best in Spain. Fornells lovely Port, Ciutadella old town is lovely to walk around the narrow streets and dine at the Port. Restaurants so many to mention the local lamb and seafood are just scrupmtious. Walking along the local coast line and discovering beaches and caves is a pleasure. The Climate max daily 20 rising to 28 in July, falling to 14 in Jan, average 315 sunny days a year. March to May the island is green and awash with wildlife, birds and pretty flowers everywhere. Go to the Trotting races at San Luis or Cuitadella and see the Spanish indulge their passion for horses. Sun , sea and sand the Mediterranean dream!
Cala'n Porter area
Cala n' Porter has the stunning horse shoe Family Beach, with 3 bars/ restaurants, toilets and showers. Pedlos are available to hire. The local fiesta is held the second weekend in Sept every year in Cala n' Porter, with horse parades and dancing, a time when the whole village joins in the fun! The bars and restaurants have something for everyone, in the evenings many bars have live bands, my mum loves seeing the "Four Tops" a great show at Sa Paisa, The Alloa Bar has live music and cocktails. Late nightlife can be found at the famous Disco Cova d'en Xoroi, people come from all over to go to this stunning night club to dance on a plateaux over the sea, where they filmed the Guns of Naverone, it all starts after 12pm, but if this is not for you go and enjoy a coffee or drink during the day, watching the sunset here is not to be missed. The beauty of the location is if you do not feel like going out at night to other restaurants outside the village there is something within walking distance. However the restaurants around the Island are superb and nowhere is far away, you can dine out then come back to live entertainment or just a coffee and brandy at The Poolside Bar. We often go to Mahon Port or Cala Fonts where you can dine over looking the sea and wander along nice shops and boats, sit at a bar and watch the world go by. If you have a family there is lots for children to do, there is a new children's cafe open till 10pm at night where children can play safely supervised on bouncy castles etc while the parents can have a coffee/ drink. There are other anmenities trampolines, motorised karts children's boats again pay a small fee but there is a cafe/bar for the parents to watch. At the apartments is an information pack with all local things to do and guide to the island and restaurants.

Monach airlines fly all year from Manchester and Luton, Easy jet via Barcelona or Mallorca all year. In season April-Oct Jet2.com direct from Newcastle and Leeds Bradford, and Easy jet fly direct from Bristol, Newcastle, Gatwick, Liverpool. The charter airlines- firstchoice.co.uk, xl.com, mytravel.com, flythomascook.com, thomsonfly.com, flyglobespan.com, airberlin.com, ba.com, all offer flights from airports all over uk. Find the cheapest flights use the following site first www.skyscanner.net and www.cheapestflights.co.uk There are plenty of taxis to get to resort 20 mins or car hire companies, book online to get the best deals for car hire in the high season, no need out of season.

Further details indoors: The apartments have just been refurbished for 2007, all new linen, towels, furniture, TV/DVD, beds etc We have made the apartments really nice so you can relax and put your feet up! Both apartments are situated on ground level and enjoy terraces to front and rear. Air conditioned apartments (hot and cold), ceiling fans in Bedrooms ensure that you will be comfortable during your stay. Outside furniture to enjoy those bamy summer evenings. Bedrooms have built in wardrobes and draws. Both apartments have double and Twin beds, but one apartment can have twin rooms by arrangement. Beach towels provided to save you carrying them! Welcome pack of food on arrival so you can start relaxing straight away!
Further details outdoors: Siesta Mar One has its own large swimming pool and separate children's section, and a play ground with soft landing. Siesta Mar Two has the waterslides, football, entertainment etc if you want it. The supermarkets are within walking distance as are the rest of the centres facilities. The best thing about the apartments location is that everything you need is in walking distance if you want them. The stunning horseshoe bay houses a sandy beachwhich is accessible by steps, but take the local train ride, get great views and a lovely breeze on the way! Two sun beds also provided to sunbathe relax in the gardens.

If you do not pay in full 61 days before departure, we reserve the right to cancel your booking, and the cancellation charges below will apply. If you make a holiday booking within 61 days of your departure date, then you must pay the full cost of the holiday at the booking stage.
Cancellation. In the event of your cancellation the following conditions will apply:
Prior to 61 days before departure – deposit forfeited.
60-42 days before departure – 30% of total holiday cost.
41-28 days before departure – 60% of total holiday cost.
27-7 days before departure - 90% of total holiday cost.
