Dos Manos 5 is one of two apartments, it's a large 2 bed apartment with a large balcony ideal for sipping cocktails at sundown, or watching the yachts go by.
Eating alfresco is a must with the spectacular views over the crystal clear turquoise water, that you feel you could reach over and touch in the bay.
We provide large bath and hand towels and white bed linen.
The furniture and beds are all new and extremely comfortable.
There are a selection of books and a compendium of games in the bookcase for your use. Also an Ipod Docking Station/ radio so don't forget your phone or ipod.
There are also binoculars so that someone can always be on duty watching those yachts in and out of the bay!
The apartments are simply decorated and don't have all the mod cons, but with a view as such you won't be spending much time inside!
The pool and barbecue area is situated behind the apartments, which means you have no noise.
There is a large table and 4 chairs plus 2 sunbeds for your use on the balcony.
We provide seating for 4 around the dining table and lounge area.
There is a ceiling fan in the master bed and a pedestal in the twin room (ceiling too low for a fan)
As we are so close to the sea there is usually a pleasant breeze.
You will find various buckets, spades, balls, suncream and umbrellas in the cupboard for your use.

Menorca is a beautiful Island and Calan Porter is quite a lively resort in summer, but is becoming increasingly popular with all year around cyclists and walkers during low season. Also pretty popular with book/kindle readers!!
We are situated ten minutes walk away from the shops, numerous restaurants and the beach.
Ideal for families or couples chilling out!
Menorca has recently become very popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders due to a new pathway around the Island.
You can also hire kayaks at the beach to explore nearby caves.
Hiring a car is not a must as most essentials are within walking distance.
There is a regular bus service that takes you into Mahon and from there change for many other destinations.
If you wish to hire a car for a day or two, this can be done in Calan Porter.

Dos Manos 5 is a larger than average apartment with one of the most spectacular views in Calan Porter..
Dos Manos has 1 KIngsize, one small double and one twin room, with two bathrooms one being en suite. There are fitted wardrobes in each bedroom.
It has an open plan living area with kitchen, dining and lounge which opens onto the large balcony with spectacular bay views.
The bedrooms have ceiling fans and the living areas have pedestal fans if required.
One bathroom has a short bath with a shower over and the other has a wet room.
There is an gas cooker and microwave in the kitchen as well as a radio and ipod docking station
The apartment is very simply furnished which seems to be the Spanish traditiion.
It is a perfect family holiday or chilling out with friends.
We have many numerous return guests!

Dos Manos has a shared kidney shaped pool and a barbeque area, which is situated behind the apartment and the parking area.
Dos Manos is one of two apartments which are enclosed by a walled gated area.
The council have just completed a tree lined pavement and viewing-point outside the apartments as this affords one of the best views in Calan Porter.
Restaurants and bars are all within walking distance.
Our property manager is an english lady who will visit you soon after your arrival to ensure that all is well and to answer any questions you may have.
We provide linen and towels, BUT NOT BEACH TOWELS.
Cots and high chairs can be rented but need to be booked in advance.NB: Prices may be subject to change at the advertiser's discretion.
High Season July/ August change over day Fri prefered, out of season will consider other arrival departure times, must fit in with other bookings.
Menorca is wonderful place to visit out of high season, if you do not like the weather too hot May and Sept are the best months.

Cancellation. In the event of your cancellation the following conditions will apply:
Prior to 61 days before departure – deposit forfeited.
60-42 days before departure – 30% of total holiday cost.
41-28 days before departure – 60% of total holiday cost.
27-7 days before departure - 90% of total holiday cost.
The Menorca region
Menorca has the UNESCO biosphere reserve designation, having a wealth of flora fauna and landscape.
It has a unique charm, as it is the quietest of the Balearic islands but has quite a few lively resorts.
I has 110 beaches to explore, some only accessible by boat or a scramble through the pine woods.
Mahon is the capital which has the second largest natural harbour in the world and is surrounded by bars and restaurants.
Cuitadela is the old capital and has a great deal of history within its ancient walls.
Another of Menorca's attractions is the archaeological and cultural heritage.
There are many interesting monumental sites as well as prehistoric remains
Cala n Porter
Calan Porter is on the south coast of Menorca 10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from Mahon, which is also called Mao.
It is a beautiful cove with glistening turquoise waters and a lovely child friendly sandy beach.
The town is small but caters for most needs. It is quite a lively resort ideal for families.
There are an abundance of bars and restaurants and there are a couple situated down on the beach.
Also on he beach you are able to rent kayaks, pedaloes sunbeds and umbrellas.
Try and make time to visit Covas den Xoroi, name after a historical pirate who abducted a local girl and kept her in his cave. The bar is unique and set high in the cliffs with fantastic sea views.
You can access the beach by going down 200 steps or walk down the roadway which is easier but longer, but worth it when you get there.
There is a regular bus service into Mahon and from there links to most of the island.

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week holiday in Cala 'n' Porter. We stayed in Manzana apartments (Dos Manos apartment 6) which was lovely and comfortable. The apartment has stunning views overlooking the bay, easy access to the beach steps (quite a few), the shops, restaurants, caves, etc. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. It has 2 lovely balconies. The front balcony overlooks the bay and were able to watch the beautiful sunset every evening. We have already booked for next year.

Thanks for review. I am updating properties every year, last year new bathroom in Dos Manos 6, and this year all new beds in both Dos Manos 5 and 6. I put in a new pump to improve water pressure. This year I will be replacing a bathroom to make a new showeer room in Dos Manos 5.
