About the home
The apartment is new to the market in May 2010, they have been used solely for family and friends for the last 40 years.
Dos Manos comprises two, two-bedded front-line apartments situated in a quiet area of Calan Porter, yet only five minutes walk from the beach and town, which has an abundance of bars and restaurants.
The apartment has a shared pool and barbecue area situated behind the property.
Dos Manos 6 has one double en suite with private balcony with great sea views and a spiral staircase leading to the roof terrace for private sunbathing. The other is a twin en suite leading to a large fairly basic, open planned kitchen dining and lounge area and onto a large balcony with table and chairs for alfresco dining.
We as family have had great family holidays here!
We have radio with ipod docking stations in both apartments.

This is particularly large two bed apartment with incredible views from most rooms
There is a ceiling fan in master bed and pedestal fan in other rooms.
The apartment is simply furnished which is all that is required in a hot country.
The pool and the car-parking are situated behind the apartment and there is a pathway which runs alongside the property which takes you there.
Towels and linen provided.

The views from the balcony are of the bay and the limestone cliffs, on the far side it is untouched and teaming with wildlife, whilst the near side it is dotted with houses perched on the cliffs.
Calan Porter Council have just provided a lovely viewing point outside our apartments with extra wide pavements and have planted trees to shade people who come to take in the outstanding view of the bay.
The pool and the car-parking are situated behind the apartment and are reached by a pathway which runs alongside the property.

Menorca is wonderful place to visit out of high season, if you do not like the weather too hot May and Sept are the best months.
Payment by bankers draft/cheque booking form to be completed, equipped.
Deposit- 50% of the full cost of the holiday is required on booking (£250 min)

If you do not pay in full 61 days before departure, we reserve the right to cancel your booking, and the cancellation charges below will apply. Cancellation. In the event of your cancellation the following conditions will apply:
Prior to 61 days before departure – deposit forfeited.
60-42 days before departure – 30% of total holiday cost.
41-28 days before departure – 60% of total holiday cost.

Car parking is behind the property.
Our property manager is an English lady who wiil visit you soon after your arrival to ensure all is well and she lives close by.
Cots and highchairs are available for rent on request.
Linen is provided as are bath and hand towels.

Remainder due 8 weeks before departure.
Changeover days are Friday preferably, but flexible during low season.
Apartment will be accessable after 4pm on changeover day.
On day of departure the apartment will need to vacated no later than 10am

Menorca has the UNESCO biosphere reserve designation, having a wealth of flora fauna and landscape.
It has a unique charm, as it is the quietest of the Balearic islands but has quite a few lively resorts.
I has 110 beaches to explore, some only accessible by boat or a scramble through the pine woods.
Mahon is the capital which has the second largest natural harbour in the world and is surrounded by bars and restaurants.
Cuitadela is the old capital and has a great deal of history within its ancient walls.
Another of Menorca's attractions is the archaeological and cultural heritage.
There are many interesting monumental sites as well as prehistoric remains
The Cala'n Porter area
Calan Porter is on the south coast of Menorca 10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from Mahon, which is also called Mao.
It is a beautiful cove with glistening turquoise waters and a lovely child friendly sandy beach.
The town is small but caters for most needs. It is quite a lively resort ideal for families.
There are an abundance of bars and restaurants and there are a couple situated down on the beach.
Also on he beach you are able to rent kayaks, pedaloes sunbeds and umbrellas.
Try and make time to visit Covas den Xoroi, name after a historical pirate who abducted a local girl and kept her in his cave. The bar is unique and set high in the cliffs with fantastic sea views.
You can access the beach by going down 200 steps or walk down the roadway which is easier but longer, but worth it when you get there.
There is a regular bus service into Mahon and from there links to most of the island.

The apartment was wonderful, and with the brilliant weather we had for the whole of the week, we seemed to spend most of the time being really lazy and relaxing on the balcony and enjoying the panoramic view, in almost every direction. The beach is only a very short distance from the apartment and was very convenient although there a good number of steps to negotiate, this being especially relevant after a couple of drinks at the lovely beach-side bar. All of the shops and restaurants are also very close to the apartment and there are many good places to eat and drink. We will definitely be coming back and would recommend Dos Manos 6 to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings. |
