The Mallorca/Majorca region
Mallorca is a mediterranean island that enjoys temperate winters and long hot summers. The gentle climate is ideal for almost year round holiday making, although the winter months from November through to March are changeable with cooler wetter weather. It still however, remains mild and pleasant enough for some outdoor activities.
The island is very popular with cyclists due to the undulating terrain and quiet roads providing ideal conditions for both amateurs and professionals to train or just enjoy the scenery.
There are around 12 golf courses on the island which attracts golfers for year round play.
Cala Murada area
Cala Murada is a quiet resort between Porto Colom (5 Km) and Port Cristo (9 km). Casa Dorado is situated 5 minutes walk from the centre of the resort where a collection of restaurants and tapas bars are situated. There are two supermarkets and two banks in the resort providing essentials as well as a laundry, hairdresser. and medical facilities. A 10 or 15 minutes walk will take you to to a choice of prime beaches. A five to ten minute drive will take you to various other busier resorts with a choice of alternative beautiful beaches, a championship quality 18 hole golf course There are around 12 golf courses on the island providing plenty of choice for golfing holidays.
15 minutes drive will take you to various attractions such as a tropical park, the famous Cave of Drach. In the opposite direction the charming Porto Colom offers a variety of high quality restaurants and cafe bars and more lovely beaches. Continuing a little way beyond up a mountain is the 13th century Monastery of Valdemossa which featuring a museum and art gallery as well as some of the most spectacular views of the island.
Heading back towards Palma is a water park offering a great day out for the family as well as other golf courses for the enthusiast.
Palma itself is worth a days visit for shopping, beautiful restaurants and a walk around the historic old town, not forgetting the cathedral.
How to get there
Cala Murada is located on the south east side of the island between Porto Colom and Porto Cristo. Travelling time from Palma airport is approximately 45 minutes by car.
Car hire available from Terry's autos. Car hire can be arranged when villa is booked for better rates. Terrys autos provide a delivery service at the airport which saves time compared with other hire companies.
Cheap flights to Palma availabile from various airports on easyjet, BMI, Thompson Travel to name a few.

Further details indoors: The villa is set over two levels, the ground floor has 3 bedrooms; two twins and one double with en suite, in addition there is one full bathroom with bath, shower sink and bidet. There is a large lounge-dining area, kitchen, utility room and large terrace area overlooking the pool.
The upstairs has a separate entrance one double bedroom, a full bathroom, another large lounge and terrace. The property will not be rented as separate units. Advertised pricing has been for parties taking the lower floor only to date. If the upper floor is required, the owners reserve the right to charge a little more due to the additional cleaning and maintenance required.
Some DVD's and games are available for children.
Further details outdoors: Parking available in driveway for one car, but parking on the road nearby is easy as the area is very quiet. The pool is exclusively for the use of the occupiers. The garden area is paved to the front and rear with planted garden area down one side.

Thank you very much for the use of your lovely home . We had a wonderful time. The weather was superb, the villa perfect and the restaurants in the village were great. We were made to feel very welcome, everyone was very friendly and we achieved our objective - our little boys can all now snorkel.
