The Mallorca/Majorca region
Attracting pirates in years gone by the rugged east coast has lots to discover, the nearby famous Caves of Drach is just one prime example. The island boasts mountains for hiking, natural parks to explore, beaches and caves and cristal blue waters to sail and swim in. The real Mallorca can be found in the central plain of the island where you can discover traditional villages untouched by tourism. Like the local Son Servera. You can just visit the villages by hopping on the local bus and head towards one of the local markets.
With a mediterrain climate ranging from the hot summers of over 30 degrees to mild winters of around 18 degrees. It is no wonder why the área attracts so many british tourists all year round.
ATTRACTS - families, couples, golfers, cyclists and long stays. Mallorca truly offers something for everyone.
Cala Millor is a prime family holiday resort, the largest developed resort on the east coast. Not only has it got magnificent beaches, wtih gently sloping sand, but a grand promenade for cyclists and walkers. Getting around has never been such fun from horse drawn carts and the fun train which trundles to and from neighbouring resorts.
From horse riding, watersports, tennis/padel, diving school and go karting for the more active to bargain hunting at the local market and souvenir searching for those shoppers.
There are plently of local restaurants/bars serving international cuisine, british owned restaurants and the more local spanish 'tapas' bars who will cater for the tourists at a fraction of the cost.
Local attractions include Safari Zoo, 'Biomar', indoor spa fitness and wellness centre,'la reserva' all inclusive complex with waterpark and fantasy golf a large crazy golf park. For unforgetable nights out there is Son Amar or Pirates Adventures.
