The Menorca region

Cala Galdana area
The lovely resort of Cala Galdana is located on the south coast of the island and is centred around one of the most beautiful pine clad bays on the island. The large horseshoe shaped bay of Cala Galdana with crystal clear waters and gently shelving pale gold sand is ideal fro families. A small wooden bridge over the river, which flows out to sea, makes a most picturesque setting. From here it is possible to walk along the headland and explore through the pine forests.
Cala Galdana holidays offer something for everyone; whether you prefer to soak up the sun on the beach, hire a boat, take a gentle stroll through the shaded pine clad headland around the bay or try your hand at diving, with a PADI approved training school, then Cala Galdana has all this and more to offer. The children's waterslides on the beach make this an ideal destination for families with younger children. Everything is close at hand with a good choice of bars, fine restaurants and shops within the resort. Family nightlife is provided by the local hotels who offer evening entertainment to all comers.
From Cala Galdana it is easy to get around this small island. Drive East to the capital, Mahon and the Airport or West to the old town of Cuidadella in approximately 40 minutes or head North to explore the quaint little towns and villages with their own cottage industries and fine off the beaten track restaurants.

Further details indoors: The accommodation, which was fully refurbished during the winter months, is all on one level and comprises of an entrance hallway with occasional sitting room/games room to one side, the main lounge / dining room ahead with three sets of double patio doors to maximise the wonderful views, an open fireplace and doorway to a large breakfast kitchen having modern stainless steel appliances. There is a laundry room with washing machine and a separate bathroom with disabled facilities off. From the hallway there are two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms, one with patio doors to the rear gardens and pool area. Adjacent to the bedrooms is a family bathroom and a separate shower room. The villa is furnished to a high standard and well equipped throughout, benefiting from full air conditioning. (small extra charge) Entertainment is provided by digital satellite TV, DVD player and a Stereo system.
Further details outdoors: Outside, to the rear of the house, the three sets of patio doors from the lounge give access to an extensive covered terrace leading to lawns and mature gardens that surround the 8m x 4m swimming pool, with roman steps and a pool side shower. The villa stands in a large plot; to the front of the house there are extensive mature gardens, trees and shrubs with an ‘in and out’ driveway. There is off road parking for at least five cars. With safety in mind, the pool area has been gated off, however due to the nature of the location children must be supervised at all times.
