The beach is only around 5 minutes walk, if you take one of the numerous sets of steps down the hillside or around 10 minutes walk if you follow the road.
And if you're not feeling the least bit energetic then you can just laze by the pool, which is shared by the 6 apartments.
The Menorca region
Menorca is the second largest of the Balearic islands, around 20 miles east of Mallorca. It has lots of family-friendly resorts and almost as many beaches as Mallorca and Ibiza combined.
Peaceful holiday resorts line the south coast of Menorca and a string of quiet fishing villages are along the island's rougher northern shore.
Compared to Mallorca, it's much smaller in size (around 30 miles long and 12 miles wide) and provides a more hushed, relaxed environment - probably the main reason why many family holidays are geared towards this tranquil island. Over the years, Menorca has undergone very few changes - it's certainly been sheltered from the effects of development seen by its Balearic neighbours and has successfully avoided becoming a full-blown urbanized and tourist-stricken land mass.
Cala Galdana - a wide arc of golden sand bounded by wooded cliffs and an emerald sea. The resort has one of the most beautiful coves on the island and enjoys a unique microclimate with higher temperatures and lower winds than the surrounding bays.
This is a good place to be in mid season to enjoy walks along the gorge or to some of the quieter beaches on either side of the bay. In high season it is perfect for family holidays with fun and facilities for the children including mini golf, shallow water slides for the young and safe swimming.
You can hire snorkelling equipment, pedaloes and motorboats, learn to sail or scubadive or take a boat ride along the coast to picnic in a peaceful cove.
Nestled in the pine trees at the rear of the beach is a bar/restaurant with toilet facilities and a large car park can be found by the roundabout at the entrance to the resort - a couple of minutes stroll from the sands.
