Our ground floor apartment is in a fantastic location directly overlooking the sophisticated International Marina with its many superb restaurants and bars. Alternatively a pleasurable stroll around the marina stopping to admire the impressive yachts and power boats will lead you into the pedestrianised resort centre of Cala D'Or with its lively family friendly atmosphere and numerous restaurants and bars. Within walking distance are a choice of 3 beautiful safe sandy beaches, or to avoid walking you can catch the mini train which stops to the front of the apartments every hour.
There are only 24 apartments in the complex, most are not available for rental. The pool area therefore is never overcrowded and sunbeds are plentiful. The marina is reached via steps approx 100 yards from the apartment. The apartment is perfectly situated with Marina to hand, Cala D'Or centre convenient yet not too close to be a nuisance and beaches within easy reach, with all this on its doorstep the development still maintains an air of peace and exclusivity.

Bedroom 1 and 2 have twin beds, large built-in wardrobe, dressing table, full length mirror, bedside tables and have full dual air conditioning and heating.En-suite bathroom to bedroom 1 with bath, large separate shower enclosure, wc and basin - completely refurbed in 2008
Bathroom 2 has bath/shower over, wc, bidet and basin- completely refurbed in 2008.
Kitchen has cooker, hob, large fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, kettle and toaster.
Lounge has double sofa bed, 32 " flat screen TV with free sky channels (BBC,ITV etc), DVD player, CD player. The dining area adjoining the living room has large table and 4 chairs. Full dual air con/heating. The lounge has double doors leading out to the terrace.
Mothercare travel cot. Highchair, iron/ironing board
Towels and linen are included. Linen, towel change and cleaning on a weekly basis. Visit during first couple of days from Corinne who looks after the apartment to answer any questions etc. Basic starter grocery pack included.

The large terrace has a table and 6 chairs and 2 full cushioned sun-beds. The terrace is partly covered for shade.
The terrace leads conveniently down to the palmed communal gardens and pool area with shared pool and plenty of sunbeds.
The terrace boasts the most spectacular view of the marina, it is a pleasure to sit and watch the spectacular boats come in and out.

Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands and enjoys a sunny warm climate throughout most of the year. There is beautiful scenery, friendly people, and of course a lovely coastline, making this island the perfect family holiday location.
The Cala D'Or / Cala D'Or Marina area
Located on Majorca's south east coast, Cala d'Or has a more cosmopolitan feel than other resorts on the island and has been labelled by some as Majorca's very own Riviera. Here, the atmosphere is relaxed by day, with the rich and trendy enjoying their yachts at the marina, and lively at night with the numerous bars and restaurants filled with diners enjoying the evening atmosphere. Cala d'Or is perfect for families as it's a friendly, clean resort with numerous safe and sandy palm fringed beaches and beautiful clear blue sea.
The mini train wil take you around the resort stopping at several of the beaches. A second mini train takes you to the national park and beach of Cala Mondrego.
The 18 hole Golf Course of Val D'or is a 15 minute car journey away where you will find a lovely club house complete with outside swimming pool and stunning views. Club hire and buggies available.
An outstanding course - a must for all golfers.
There are many places locally where trips and excursions can be organised: water parks, sea life centre, glass bottomed boat, caves of drac.
For a memorable day out boat charter is available on the marina - either sailing or power boat or for those that enjoy a thrill a trip on sea rider is good fun.
We are 45 minutes from the airport, car hire is available or we can organise a taxi if required.
My favourite beaches are either Cala d'or or Cala Mondrago where they both serve a fantastic glass of Sangria.

We have visited Cala dor on many ocassions usually more towards Cala Egos. We were keen to stay near to the the marina and liked the look of this apartment. It did not disappoint, the loaction as described was perfect, ideal for reaching the restaurants around the marina and with beautiful views from the terrace. We also walked into calador which took about 15 minutes via a pleasant route around the marina. we arrived quite late in the evening so the welcome pack was gratefully received - especially the wine! The apartment was spacious and well equipped, it was great to have 2 bathrooms which were modern and clean. We ate out most evenings but usually had a cooked breakfast in the mornings - the kitchen was well equipped and spotlessly clean. We had a lovely stay and will be booking again for 2012 p.s - Don't usually watch tv while on holiday but SKY TV was good to have to keep up with the news - and Corrie!! |
