About the home

Situated in Cala Egos our one bedroom apartment is ideal for families and couples looking for a relaxing break. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, a dining/living room area. Satalite freeview is installed in the apartment for your pleasure. There is a large selection of DVDs, iPOD docking system, games and books. Leading from the living room is the spacious balcony area which recieves the sun from early morning. The fantastic pools are reasonably quiet even in the height of summer. Cala Egos has many restaurants and bars to suit all taste. Within strolling distance is Es Forti's sandy beach and the chic Cala Longa Marina with its bars and portside restaurants. Local public transport visits many places including Cala Mondrago's fabulous beach, or the sights of Palma and its must see Cathedral or maybe some retail threrapy. If you fancy hiring a car they are readily available at the airport or locally in Cala Egos. Many excursions are available and can be booked locally.
We have been going to Majorca for over twenty years and love it and we hope you will too! We are always at the end of the phone before and during your stay. We can arrange taxis for you, advise you about places to eat once you get there, so feel free to phone us for more information or any questions you may have.

We try to cater for everyone in the family, so weather it's board games your after, a dvd to sit back and relax to or just simply a sunbed to soak up the rays we have it all covered!- We also have plenty of books!
We have a travel cot available if needed. Bathroom has both bath with shower above. Utility room with washing machine. Inflatables for kids (or adults!). In the bedroom are two single beds (can be pushed together or separated) this room benefits from distant views of the mountains and in the sitting room is a double sofa bed.

Change over day is flexible, take advantage of mid week cheaper flights.

Conditions

No pets. A deposit of £150 for one week and £250 for two weeks is required at the time of booking. This deposit is non refundable. The balance is due no later than six weeks before departure date. Damaged or broken items to be replaced with same or similar. This is a non smoking flat ( Smoking allowed on balcony).
Cancellations. Less then six weeks 40% of the holiday fee is payable.
Less then four weeks 50% of the holiday fee is payable.
Less then two weeks 80% of the holiday fee is payable.

There are many sights to visit whilst enjoying your holiday in Cala Egos including the


Caves of Drach, Palma with its magnificent cathedral and shopping opportunities, the Son Amar and Aquacity.
Taxi’s and a regular bus services are available.

The Cala D'Or / Cala Egos area

Located in the south east coast of Majorca, our lovely first floor apartment is located within a gated community. It has eight beautiful pools so even in the height of season they are uncrowded. If you fancy laying on a golden beach or taking a dip in warm terqouise coloured waters there are many coves within walking distance. Only a short bus ride will take you to the fabulous Cala Mondrago beach, which is set in a glorious location in a national park. Cala Egos is a growing resort with many shops and restaurants, a short stroll will take you to the fabulous marina, a chance to walk alongside the vast array of yachts and cruisers from around the world. The marina is supported by many restaurants serving food to suit all tastes, also a fabulous new yacht club sits overlooking the Marina.

A short walk from the marina will take you to the centre of Cala D’or. A pedestrian centre with many restaurants is the focal point during the evening, you can enjoy a meal or a leisurely drink. Chic Boutiques are evidence of Cala D’or popularity with the well heeled dresser. There are a few discos, but in the main evening entertainment centres around the themed bars and restaurants. There is an golf course a short drive away.
Cala D’or today is a modern purpose built resort that has grown from a small traditional Mallorcan fishing village. Over the years the resort has expanded, and now covers an area of over 4km of small sandy coves and creeks. Although in all fairness this growth has for the most part been controlled, and the town still has the feeling of a small village with few, if any, high rise buildings.

Via Palma airport- lost cost airlines fly from most major airports. Easyjet fly from Bristol and many more airports also Bmi fly from Birmingham. Our apartment is situated approx 50minute drive from Palma airport and Taxis are available for 70 euros each way- we can put you in touch with a local taxi driver and even take care or arraning it for you if you so wish.

“Fantastic apartment and location” This was our third visit to Kevin and Sue's apartment. We like it so much that we keep coming back. Everything that you could need is provided and the location is fantastic. The apartment has a standard freeview type setup with access to English channels during the day and early evening. They tend to break up later in the day, but for keeping up to date with news etc it's brilliant. There are also a good selection of DVDs if you fancy a night in. We've been visiting the same complex for nearly 10 years, as some friends had an apartment there previously. The selection of pools is great and it's only a short walk to the local shops, café's and bars. Cala D'or itself is a lovely walk around the Marina. This takes about 20 minutes, or you can catch a ride on the regular shuttle around the Marina. The selection of restaurants in the local area are fantastic, with tastes and budgets to suit all.
