This studio apartment would ideally suit a couple, or a family with 1-2 young children. There are folding glass doors between the lounge and the bedroom area, which can be closed at night for greater privacy. The complex has a number of pools of various sizes and depths, private parking and electric gates. It is only a short walk from a sandy cove, supermarkets, shops, restaurants and the marina.

The Mallorca/Majorca region


The resort of Cala D'Or is in the south east of the island, approximately 45 minutes from Palma airport. You can hire a car if you want to tour the island, but it is not essential for your stay as the apartment is within walking distance of the marina (5 mins) and the resorts of Cala D'Or (15-20mins) and Cala Egos (5 mins).
The Cala D'Or / Cala Egos area
The sophisticated marina of Cala D'Or is about 5 minutes walk from the apartment and has a variety of bars and restaurants. You can walk around the marina into the resort of Cala D'Or, which is a leisurely 20 minute stroll. Cala Egos is about 5 minutes walk from the apartment, and it has a range of shops, supermarkets, banks, bars, restaurants and a medical centre. Mini road trains run into Cala D'Or and to the lovely beach at Cala Mondrago via Puerto Petro which is fun for the childern. Vall D,Or golf club is about 10 minutes drive.

I stayed at this apartment for a week in August. As I was travelling alone I was really impressed when the owners came to meet me from my connection and ensured I have no difficulty finding my way. They were extreemly helpful and offered fantastic advice on local bars and restaurants. The apartment was surprisingly spacious and airy with a fantastic balcony over looking the pool area ( a total of 11 pools....). It was imaculate. As a resort, you have everything on your door step. You are about a five minute walk to Cala Egos and the beautiful marina. Cala D'or is also just a short walk away. Restaurants along the Marina are amazing, some of the best fish and steaks I've ever had. As a female in her 40s I found this holiday to be my perfect escape from it all but I would also think it would be very suitable for couples with children as the pool area around the apartment is most impressive and the restaurants were very family friendly. If I could escape to here every year, I would...it was a small piece of heaven... |

Stayed at this apartment last week, first impressions: apartment was lovely and clean with a little welcome pack of tea,coffee etc along with shampoo,conditioner. It is a studio apartment but bedroom can be sectioned off with sliding doors. Kitchen is well equipped with separate utility which houses a washing machine. There are 11 pools to choose from, so we had one virtually to ourselves for a week-bliss! Everything is within walking distance, beach,supermarkets,bars,restaurants and of course the Marina which is superb, failing that the road train and buses are very regular. Owner provided a map and info about area which was great.Tried a number of restaurants and bars recommended by the owner and can honestly say we did not have a bad meal, Beatriz, Zocola to name but a few, Smugglers is a lovely bar overlooking the Marina, perfect setting to enjoy a well earned drink-its hard work sunbathing!.All prices are comparable whether at the Marina or Cala Ergos. I would have given 5 stars but the apartment didnt have a tv and my hubby is an avid cricket/sportsfan and couldnt go a week without sport. Plenty of bars have tv showing sport though, so just another excuse to go for a drink. Also could have done with another pillow but thats just me. |

I stayed here for 3 weeks with my husband and two children and we had a fantastic holiday. The apartment was spotless, beautifully decorated and had everything you needed. The swiming pools (8 in total) were great, very clean and varying in depths and we often had one to ourselves during the day. Although there were other familys there (both my children made friends) it was also quite quiet and relaxed. The surrounding area was very nice, with two near beaches to choose from (we preferred cala des pou). Cala Egos is quite quiet (which we like) but if you prefer a lively night out, Cala D,or is just round the corner. The Marina at Cala llonga is beautiful and we would often stop for a drink to watch the boats on the way back from the beach. The owners of the apartment were very welcoming and incredibly helpful with advice on where to eat and places to visit. We ate in some lovely restaurants and visited some lovely villages and beaches (Cala Mondrago is gorgeous). We highly recommend Marina Dor 2 and will definitely be going back. |
