The gardens are fantastic and provide an ideal place to take in the magnificent countryside surroundings making this property a real gem. There is also an outbuilding which can be used for storing bicycles and other outdoor equipment.

Thurso is set within Caithness which offers a range of activities and sights to see such as the Castle of Mey which has a range of attractions for the whole family to see including the Castle itself, the gardens and an animal centre which is great for children. Caithness is steeped in history and therefore has many other historical sites including museums and archaeological attractions. Outdoor activities also include a huge variety of different walks to chose from, golfing clubs and even flying lessons! The Northern Highlands is a spectacular place to enjoy walking and cycling with many different types of walks to choose from to suit everyone's tastes. Fishing is also a popular past time for many visitors as there are plenty of places to explore and cast a line. Within the Northern Highlands there are 46 golf courses so golfing enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice on where to play. Horse trekking is also a great way to explore all that this area has to offer with a huge variety of different opportunities such as short rides or overnight rides. There are also plenty of activity centres within this area that offer a variety of things to try. Climbing, water sports and snow sports are more extreme activities offered for those who are brave enough! The Northern Highlands has something for everyone!
