This free standing home is surrounded by tropical gardens and a large lawn for the kids to run and play on before they jump into the sparkling blue pool. Just 5 minutes walk to the beautiful and secluded Kewarra Beach.

The recent cyclone Yasi near Cairns caused absolutely no damage to our property. With 20+ years of experience in the area we are happy to advise and/or book your car hire, reef trips, tropical rainforest adventures and many other activities such as fishing, river drift snorkelling, kayaking, birding, local restaurants to name just a few. This is a complimentary service and generally there is no deposit required ... you pay on the day.

The master bedroom has a king sized bed and ensuite and is very roomy. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and the two additional bedrooms have twin beds. The outlook from all rooms is very private and leafy. The large undercover area ensures that you can sit out and BBQ in all weather conditions.
It's just a few minutes to world class golf links, 5mins walk to the beach and just 20mins drive to Cairns CBD and 30mins drive to Port Douglas.
Smoking is permitted outside the main house in the garden or undercover elfresco dining areas.
There's plenty of room for your dog or cat to play and investigate, should you want to bring your furry friends with you.
Minimum rental of 3 nights.

Standard Terms and Conditions of Temporary Holiday Accommodation
Note: Variances can be agreed on but only by arrangement with the owner in writing.
Deposit of 25% is required within 7 days of enquiry to secure the booking. Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
Balance of the rental amount must be received in full 30 days prior to occupancy. If not the owner has the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re let it.
Cancellation if caused by the client. Money paid is not refundable unless the client notifies the owner within 45 days prior to the booking.
The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.
To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property, but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.
Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.
Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in additional payments.
Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the tenants responsibility during their stay. The tenants must notify the owners of any such occurrence by phoning 4057 9669.
Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. Check-out time is 10.00am by the latest, to allow time to prepare property for next guests. Late departure times can be negotiated with the owners if no other guests are due that day.
Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant’s personal property.
Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.
The Queensland / Far North region
Cairns is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, one of the seven wonders of the world. Kewarra Beach is a residential area with a stunning uncrowded beach, part of which is a free range exercise area for dogs. It is a 10minute stroll along the beach to all the restaurants and shops of Palm Cove and a short drive south to Trinity Beach. The house is in a very quiet street.
Just up the road is the famous Paradise Palms golf course, childrens play area and mini golf.
Most tours will pick up from the house or it's not far to drive to any pick up points.
SkyRail is just a ten minute drive south near the large shopping centre at Smithfield.
The Cairns / Kewarra Beach area
Catch Skyrail to Kuranda on the Atherton Tablelands and sail above the magnificent rainforest. Take a dinner cruise on the Cairns estuary or spend a day out on one of the many fishing charter boats and catch fish to feed the family.
Dive or snorkel the Reef and be amazed at the quality of the coral and abundance of colourful fish.
Spend some time investigating Port Douglas and call in at the beautiful Thala Beach Resort just south of Port for lunch or coffee.
For the more adventurous there is hot air balooning, bungy jumping and sky diving, white water rafting and a host of other attractions.
DVD rental and take away meals are available at the local shopping centre just 1km away. The pizza/curry shop home delivers.
Kewarra Beach has a stinger net for safe swimming. Portable beach chairs and an esky are provided in case you wish to have a picnic on/near the beach or just a snack and sundowner beside the Coral Sea.

"Mornington" is 15kms north of Cairns airport. You can get to the house either by taxi or car rental. Tim can assist you with a great quote on renting a car.
Cairns CBD is 20kms south and Port Douglas is 40kms north. Palm Cove is a short 5 minutes drive away or a 20 minute walk along the beach.
Budget airlines within Australia are Virgin Blue or Jetstar and Qantas. There are many departures and arrivals daily.
Jetstar from Auckland New Zealand has a daily service.
Qantas, Jetstar and Cathay Pacific bring passengers from the rest of the world.

I loved this house, perfectly located for sightseeing and Tim and Wendy were a fantastic help with anything we needed to know and they really make sure that you enjoy your stay. Champagne and fresh flowers on arrival...what better way to start a holiday and even got us a discount off our trip to the reef! It was a gem to find this house, spotlessly clean and the pool was great as the temp was in the high 30's when we stayed there. I would recommend this lovely house to everyone who likes a home from home.
