La Grange offers a well appointed and comfortable retreat in which to enjoy a variety of holiday activities. Whether visiting the many nearby bastide towns and vineyards, all of which are situated in close proximity, or for the more adventurous, trying the numerous outdoor activities the breathtaking Gorges du Tarn has to offer, there is something here for everyone. Whilst at La Grange you can sit back and relax by the beautiful pool sorrounded by a panorama of vineyards and rolling countryside. Situated at the crest of a hill over-looking a small hamlet, La Grange is perfectly situated for relaxing nights spent on its terrace whilst enjoying the multitude of stunning views at your leisure. The front door opens onto an entrance area with a beautifully crafted wooden stairwell. The first level leads to an open plan living area with modern kitchen complete with hob/oven, dishwasher and breakfast bar. The stunning mezzanine level wooden walkway suspended above the living/dining area leads to the master bedroom with en suite bathroom. The wall-mounted flat screen television offers english sky tv, and a DVD player is also included. A wood-burning stove provides warmth on cold evenings. The other two double bedrooms operate a jack and jill bathroom and an additional guest toilet is also situated on the living area floor.

Also available at La Grange- Free wifi. Large communal laundry room with full facilities. Board games. DVD's available for loan. IPOD docking station in pool house.A complimentary welcome pack.

For an extra charge La Grange can also provide the following.

A deposit of 20% is required to secure the booking and the balance along with a security deposit of £200 is due eight weeks prior to arrival. The security deposit is refundable within two weeks of departure once the property has had a full check.

The Midi-Pyrenees / Tarn region

The largest region in France, Midi Pyrenees is an essentially rural area, stretching from the highlands of the Massif Central in the north, to the crests of the Pyrenees, on the Spanish border, in the south. Its capital and only big metropolitan area is Toulouse, on the river Garonne.The region also has sizeable vineyards, such as in the areas round Gaillac, north of Toulouse, and  the Armagnac area, which lies partly in Midi-Pyrenees, partly in Aquitaine. At the southern end of the region, the Pyrenees, rising to over 3000 metres on the Spanish border, offer all the attractions of a high mountain area - in both summer and winter. This is real mountain country, where wooded foothills give way to mountain pastures and open terrain at higher altitudes. This area is popular with skiers in winter, and with ramblers and other outdoor enthusiasts in the summer months; it also containes one of the few National Parks in France., as well as the world-famous pilgrimage centre of Lourdes.

The Tarn is an area which has plenty of diversity - forests, mountains, vineyards, alluvial plains and which benefits from its proximity to Toulouse and Montpellier.Rich in historical heritage, discover castles, churches, museums and the bastide towns built in the 13th century to encourage settlement of empty areas before the Hundred Years War.The Tarn covers the Sidobre which is part of the Parc Naturel du Haut-Languedoc, known for its stunning granite formations.This same granite is used in modern buildings today, i.e. the Arch de la Defense in Paris.

Chez Mouret is a delightful , 6 acre peoperty located in a small hamlet, Andillac (15 mins to Gaillac) 2 kilometers from Cahuzac sur Vere, although small it offers two bakeries, a renowned butcher, a small supermarket, a hair and beauty salon, an ATM machine an Auberge and Sports bar, a Tabac and an express Pharmacy.
Holiday makers who are drawn to vineyards and a rich variety of wines won't be disappointed. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy skiing (Pyrenees, 2 hrs) hiking, cycling, kayaking and horse riding all within easy reach.

“Beautiful property in a beautiful area” A fantastic property, newly renovated so everything pristine and very well organised and planned. We were a family of five including a 12, 10 and 8 year old. The children loved the swimming pool and table tennis table and Sky and free WIFI were fantastic for keeping up with Olympics ! The owners were very friendly and helpful, advising on things to do and even sharing produce from their garden. The property is in a very rural area surrounded by vineyards and sunflowers and yet shops are only 5/10 minutes drive away. We enjoyed early morning runs/walks - it was very hot during our stay. We enjoyed many day trips mostly within 30mins - 1hours drive away, lots of beautiful hilltop Bastide towns, Albi, Najac, canoeing in the Aveyron gorge, Le Cap Decouverte (activity centre in disused mine), Le Cri de Tarzan - a high ropes courses in forest, Le Sidobre (amazing area with huge granite boulders) and the brilliant Space Centre at Toulouse. We found lots to do to appeal to everyone in the family. We would highly recommend both this property and the Tarn Region.
