Home description
The Chateau Joncaisses is a unique Perigordian style, nine bedroomed, five bathroomed castle. Set in 50 very private acres, on its own hillside in the Lot Valley, it has a balustraded L shaped heated pool with a domed Jacuzzi adjacent to and south of the chateau. The attractive grounds surround the chateau, and to the north of the Chateau Joncaisses there is a large indoor sports complex. All rentals include a cruise down the River Lot - a wonderful way to enjoy the surrounding countryside.
The Chateau Joncaisses was designed and built by the artist and writer owner and has taken more than fifteen years to complete. Its romantic exterior is reflected by the neo-classic and ornate interiors, with carved panelling and detailed gilded carvings. Antiques and works of art complete the ambience of a bygone age.
