Caherdaniel is a traditional Irish village in County Kerry with a history dating back more than 2000 years, due to the copper mining in the surrounding mountains. Its magnificent coastal setting means that the village is perfectly placed for exploring all of the attractions in this popular area. These include 'The Kerry Way' - a well-marked and very beautiful walking route – and the pretty town of Kenmare, which can be reached in under an hour and boasts an excellent variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. Visit Valentia Island on the north west corner of the Ring of Kerry, which boasts cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and is famed for its walking and climbing.
